Let’s have some fun with the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks. You’ll find the decorative masks on page 65 in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! It’s easy to overlook them but don’t! There’s lots you can do with the masks to create a variety of card fronts. I have created samples using two different Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative masks. Plus, you’ll see two different options for using the masks. One option uses a large floral mask to create a focal point for a card front and the other option uses the repeating small flower design to create a background. A list of materials for creating the cards is below, as well as, an assembly video. You’ll see how easy it is to create beautiful cards with the decorative masks.

Today’s card is a Bouquet of Love card that’s perfect to present to the one you love for a special occasion such as Valentine’s Day or an anniversary. Plus by changing the sentiment you can use it for another occasion. To create the card, the Love and Happiness Bundle is used. The bundle includes the Love & Happiness Stamp Set along with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. The stamp set contains wonderful sentiments to use for a variety of occasions. Remember hybrid embossing folders include dies so you can cut and emboss your project at the same time. The embossing folder and coordinating dies combine to create a simple but elegant card.

Assembly Directions:
With die cutting machine, use the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and the large heart die to emboss and cut the 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ panel of Crumb Cake cardstock. Add the panel to the Crumb Cake Card Base using dimensionals.
To cut and emboss the large heart, place the Real Red cardstock over the center heart in the embossing folder with the large heart die. Use adhesive to attach to the card base inserting into the heart opening of the embossed layer.
Stamp sentiment onto Basic White cardstock and cut with the coordinating die. Attach to the card overlapping the heart.
Die cut three flowers/leave sets and attach to card highlighting the sentiment.
Complete card front by embellishing the center of each flower with a small rhinestones.

Looking for a quick but elegant holiday card? This warm Christmas wishes holiday card is the one to make. Using the Encircled in Beauty die to cut a frame for the embossed sentiment turns a simple card into an elegant card. Note the background designer series paper – it’s not from a holiday theme package but from the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. It provides the perfect background for the Cherry Cobbler die cut frame. TIP: To ensure the sentiment stands out on the card, first stamp in desired ink color. Then, stamp over the image with Versamark and emboss with clear embossing powder. Using the Stamparatus ensures perfect stamping!

This fun Whimsy & Wonder Merry Christmas card features the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper. Even the packages used for embellishing the front are cut from the gorgeous designer series paper. The non-traditional colors in the paper helps to create a fun, cheerful holiday card. Of course, ask my granddaughter and she’ll tell you that yes, pink is a Christmas color. She actually has a pink Christmas tree for her bedroom! So naturally, it is a must that I use the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper. Below are photos of the card one with a Polished Pink border and one with a white border. You’ll have to watch the assembly video to learn the details:)
Card Details:
Basic White Thick cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″ for form card base. Scrap piece to stamp and fussy cut the Merry Christmas sentiment.
Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper: Snowflake Design layer 5-1/2″ x 4″; fussy cut 4 presents from the designer paper to use on the card front.
1-1/2″ x 4″ strip of Polished Pink In-Color Shimmer Vellum – Cut the strip using the long, narrow die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Attach to the front of the Snowflake Designer Series Paper and snip the overhanging edge before attaching to the card base (I forgot to do this in the assembly video!)
Add a Wonderful Snowflake Embellishment over the shimmer vellum, then layer the presents, adding the top present with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp Merry Christmas using Polished Pink Classic Stampin’ Pad and fussy cut around the greeting. Note: select your favorite Merry Christmas font (I used the Christmas to Remember & the Holly Jolly Wishes Stamp Sets) Attach the greeting using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the next couple of weeks, I will be posting holiday card ideas. This first card features the Merriest Moments Bundle. In addition to the the stamp set and coordinating dies, the bundle includes the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. With the hybrid embossing folder, the die fits into the embossing folder. This creates beautifully textured die-cut images. For the feature card below, the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper is die cut and texture embossed. Notice the texture on the Basic White cardstock? The Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder is used for it too! For my card, I am using a sentiment from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set in lieu of one from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set. Today’s card is another from the recent class featuring fun fold cards. It’s a design that I saw some time ago and then again recently. So, I decided to use the fun fold to showcase the beautiful Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper. In addition, the coordinating Artistically Inked Bundle from the Expressions In Ink Suite adds the perfect embellishment. This fun fold design is a great for showcasing designer series papers and helps to “clear your stash”! Though I am calling it a “fun fold”, don’t you think it’s really a “fancy fold”?
