Recently I was invited to join the Simple Suite Stampers. You may ask who are the Simple Suite Stampers and what’s it about? The Simple Suite Stampers is a design team of twelve Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators that create monthly tutorials. Each month a suite of products is chosen and each designer creates a simple project featuring items from the suite. For this month, the Sweet Talk Bundle is the feature. Even though Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, the tutorials feature inspiration for using the Sweet Talk Product Suite for different occasions. It’s easy to change sentiments to highlight the occasion you’re celebrating.
For my project, I opted to create an engagement card. The Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper is perfect for creating a wide variety of love themed projects.
Materials: (for full list of items used, scroll to Project Materials)
Pool Party Cardstock: 5-1/2 x 11 score and fold at 4-1/4″ for card base, 4-1/4″ x 3″ (layering piece), scraps for die cutting small flowers
Real Red Cardstock: 3″ x 3″

Granny Apple Green Cardstock: Scrap for die cutting leaves
Designer Series Paper – Sweet Talk: 5-1/4″ x 4″; Stripe 4″ x 2-3/4″
Pool Party Sheer Ribbon
Instructions:
Create card base by layering as follows: large heart designer series paper, smaller rectangle of Pool Party Cardstock and on top, the striped Designer Series Paper panel.
Using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and heart die, cut and emboss the piece of Real Red Cardstock.
Die cut 3 small flowers from a scrap of Pool Party Cardstock and 2 leaves from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment from the Love & Happiness Stamp Set onto the strip of Basic White Cardstock using black ink pad and use die to cut shape.
Center heart onto top panel of card. Using Dimensionals add the sentiment across the heart. Layer the flowers and leaves on the left side of the sentiment.
Embellish center of flowers with Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
Complete by adding a small bow tied with the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon

Notice the texture on the Basic White cardstock? The Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder is used for it too! For my card, I am using a sentiment from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set in lieu of one from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set. A list of materials is below along with an assembly video to assist you reproduce the card.

In one of the Christmas in July posts, the Art in Bloom Bundle was the feature set. Today, I’m featuring the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder from the bundle. A simple stamping but elegant card can be created by using the embossing folder to add texture. The Fresh Freesia In Color Shimmer Vellum features the texture embossing and creates a beautiful card. With a few embellishments and a sentiment, it’s a quick and easy card too.
Card Details:
Create a card base using Thick Basic White cardstock. (4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold)
Texture a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Fresh Freesia In Color Shimmer Vellum with the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder. Attach to card front using Stampin’ Seal along the edge of the vellum.
Stamp the hello sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pad. Use the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut a sentiment tag.
Embellish the tag using the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and add the tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete the card front by adding a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
See, it doesn’t get much simpler!

Today, I am excited to kick-off my Christmas in July event by highlighting elements from the Tidings of Christmas product suite. Though we are still in the heat of summer, it’s not to early to start thinking about Christmas. I will be posting holiday themed projects each Wednesday and Friday in July. And if you enjoy Hallmark Channel holiday movies, the channel starts their Christmas in July movies this upcoming weekend. I can’t wait!!! Yes, the movies are predictable but fun to watch. What better way to spend a hot, muggy day than to stay indoors, get cozy and watch Christmas-winter themed movies?! Now to stop digressing and get back to the card featured today. (LOL)
For this first Christmas in July project, the Tidings and Trimmings Bundle and the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper blend to create a traditional Christmas card. It’s always fun to find alternate folds to use for card designs. Today’s design is a side fold shared by Patty Bennett during a team stamping event. So, I added the fold to my “must create” fun fold list. Using the So Many Snowflake Dies, multiple snowflakes are cut and layered to embellish the Snowflake Side Fold Card. The Winter Snow Embossing Folder creates the perfect background for the layered snowflakes.
Materials:
Snowflake Wishes Bundle
Balmy Blue cardstock: card base: 4-1/4” x 11”, score at 5-1/2” & 6-3/4”; scraps for cutting snowflakes
Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper: 1” x 4”
Whisper White cardstock: 4” x 4” (2 pieces – for front & interior)’ 1” x 3-1/2” for sentiment
Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper – for large, medium & small snowflake
Winter Snow Embossing Folder
Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad
Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems
Snowflake Splendor ¼” ribbon
Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive
Glue Dots
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
Optional: Tag Punch to cut notch for ribbon
Directions for Assembly:
Fold Balmy Blue card base along fold lines. Use adhesive to seal the card front to the card back in the area between the score lines (5-1/2” to 6-3/4”).
Add the strip of designer series paper to the card front (sealed section).
Texture emboss one of the 4” x 4” Whisper White cardstock pieces. Attach to the card front.
Snowflakes: use the snowflake dies to cut a large, medium and small snowflake from the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and the Balmy Blue cardstock. After die cutting snowflakes, layer the cardstock pieces atop the glimmer paper pieces attaching with glue dots.
Stamp sentiment onto strip of Whisper White cardstock using the Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad.
Position snowflakes to the card front and attach using glue dots.
Add sentiment strip using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish the center of each snowflake with a Blue Adhesive-Backed Gem.
Finish the card by wrapping a ribbon around the left side of card, overlapping ends on front of the card. Tie a small bow using the ribbon and attaching where the ribbon overlaps on the card front. TIP: to hold ribbon in place, use tag punch (or another punch) to cut a small notch wide enough to create a track for the ribbon
Be sure to give the side fold card design a try! And add the Snowflake Wishes Bundle to your order, it’s a great set for winter themed cards.

It’s time for the November 3-D Blog Hop! We were formerly the 3-D Tutorial Blog Hop but decided to make the transition to a 3-D Blog Hop. This enables us to offer you 3-D project and instructions directly on our blogs each month. This month we are featuring 3-D Christmas projects for you. So be sure to “hop along” to see the creative projects designed for you to use this holiday season!
One of my favorite small gifts each season are the Bath & Body Works hand sanitizers. Of course, this year the hand sanitizers are a necessity! I enjoy creating unique packaging for the hand sanitizers when presenting to friends and family. A small inexpensive gift becomes special when specially wrapped. Today’s packaging features the Snowflake Flake Wishes bundle.
Project Materials:
Balmy Blue cardstock:
Base: 1-3/4″ x 10″ score at 4-1/2″ and 5-1/2″
Band: 1″ x 6″ score at 1/2″, 2-1/4″, 3-1/4″ and 5″
Silver Foil: 2 pcs – 2″ x 2″ for snowflakes
Balmy Blue Gimmer Paper: 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ & 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ for snowflakes
Whisper White cardstock: 2″ x 2″ & 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ for snowflakes; 1/2″ x 2-1/2″ for sentiment
So Many Snowflakes Dies
Winter Snow Embossing Folder
Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
Banners Pick A Punch
Curvy Christmas Stamp Set
Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad
Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon: 6″
Blue Adhesive Backed Gems
To create holder base:
First, punch the top and bottom of the 10″ strip of the Balmy Blue with the Scalloped Tag Topper.
Then, texture emboss using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Note: slide each side of the holder strip into the embossing folder up to the score line on each side. To seal the top, match the scalloped edges and close with glue dots.
Now, wrap the band around the holder and seal the overlapping piece with a strong adhesive (Tear & Tape, Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Stampin’ Seal+). TIP: do not attach the band to the holder base but use it to slide up/down to insert or remove the hand sanitizer.
Embellishing Hand Sanitizer Holder
Cut the snowflakes using the mid-sized and smallest snowflake dies. For my snowflakes, I cut the following: two Silver Foil using the same medium sized snowflake die; Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper: one using the 2nd largest snowflake die & one using the smallest snowflake die and from Whisper White cardstock: one small snowflake and one medium snowflake. Create the snowflakes by layering the pieces and attaching each with glue dots. To complete each snowflake, add a Blue Adhesive Backed Gem to the center. Notice, you will have one snowflake that is slightly larger than the other. Below is a photo of the dies used:
Using Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad, stamp the sentiment onto the Whisper White strip. Then, create the banner end using the Banners Pick A Punch.
Wrap the Silver Metallic ribbon around the holder band and adhere. TIP: place the seam on the front of the band so you can cover it with a snowflake.
Add the largest snowflake with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional placing it over the seam where the ribbon overlaps.
With glue dots, add the sentiment banner to the top of the holder.
Finish by adding the remaining snowflake to the top of the holder beside the sentiment using a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. Insert the sanitizer into the holder.
See how easy it is to make the hand sanitizer holders?
Remember, you can create a holders for a variety of occasions just by using different embossing folders and dies.
