In the March card class, the focus was using the Hey Sports Fan Product Suite. Included in the project suite is the Your Biggest Fan Bundle. The bundle includes the Your Biggest Fan Stamp Set and coordinating Sports Event Dies. Even better, the Hat Builder Dies complement the Hey Sports Fan products and add a perfect touch to today’s project. The Father’s Day sentiment can easily be change to fit another occasion. What’s great about this card is that many of the layered elements are die cuts from the Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper. Looking for a quick but elegant holiday card? This warm Christmas wishes holiday card is the one to make. Using the Encircled in Beauty die to cut a frame for the embossed sentiment turns a simple card into an elegant card. Note the background designer series paper – it’s not from a holiday theme package but from the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. It provides the perfect background for the Cherry Cobbler die cut frame. TIP: To ensure the sentiment stands out on the card, first stamp in desired ink color. Then, stamp over the image with Versamark and emboss with clear embossing powder. Using the Stamparatus ensures perfect stamping!

For the next couple of weeks, I will be posting holiday card ideas. This first card features the Merriest Moments Bundle. In addition to the the stamp set and coordinating dies, the bundle includes the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. With the hybrid embossing folder, the die fits into the embossing folder. This creates beautifully textured die-cut images. For the feature card below, the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper is die cut and texture embossed. Notice the texture on the Basic White cardstock? The Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder is used for it too! For my card, I am using a sentiment from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set in lieu of one from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set. Today’s card is another from the recent class featuring fun fold cards. It’s a design that I saw some time ago and then again recently. So, I decided to use the fun fold to showcase the beautiful Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper. In addition, the coordinating Artistically Inked Bundle from the Expressions In Ink Suite adds the perfect embellishment. This fun fold design is a great for showcasing designer series papers and helps to “clear your stash”! Though I am calling it a “fun fold”, don’t you think it’s really a “fancy fold”?

It’s September first and time to start thinking of the arrival of Fall later this month. And what celebration comes in Fall? Halloween, of course! In this post, Cute Halloween meets Pretty Pillow Box Dies. Quick, easy treat holders are made using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies and the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. The holders are perfect for adding several pieces of small individually wrapped candies. To embellish the treat boxes, the Cutest Halloween Bundle continues the theme and adds the finishing touch to each treat holder.
Details and tips for assembling:
Cut a 4-1/2″ x 6″ piece of the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper using the Pretty Pillow Box Die.
Fold and burnish the score lines on the box.
If desired, cut notches with either the edge of a circle punch (I used a retired 1/2″ punch and inserted it along edge of back flaps – see photo) or use a small circle punch to cut notch – just place the die on 1/2 of the paper.
Next, fold the box flat and seal the scallop flap to the front.
Next open the pillow box, fill with treats and close the side flaps.
To embellish the treat boxes:
Use the Halloween Punch from the Cutest Halloween Bundle to cut images from the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. TIP: cut around one of the images from the patterned paper, then use a post-it note strip to hold onto the paper while putting into punch to cut the shape. Great way to eliminate wasting paper!
Next, stamp the sentiment onto a strip of 1/2″ Basic White cardstock & cut flag end using the Banners Pick A Punch. Then, layer the stamped sentiment onto a banner cut from a 3/4″ strip of Highland Heather cardstock. Attach to the top of the pillow box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete by adding the image punched from the designer series paper.
