If you’ve been following my blog you know that for the past three weeks, my husband and I were traveling. Well, vacation’s over and I’m trying to get back into the groove. Guess you would say that I’m suffering vacation withdrawal! Have you ever experienced it? In addition to visiting places on our bucket list, we celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary. (yes, I was just a babe when we got married! LOL) Before leaving on the cruise, I made an anniversary card for my husband. It was definitely a surprise to him. He wondered when I had time to make the card between Christmas, packing for our trip, removing Christmas decorations on December 26 and watching the two grandchildren on New Year’s Eve. Fortunately, I was able to sneak in a few minutes from the busy schedule to make a simple stamping anniversary card. The Heartfelt Bundle and Country Club Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalog were perfect to use for creating a quick card.
How to create the card:
Use Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card base. Next, add a 5-1/4″ x 4″ layer of Garden Green cardstock. The top layer is a piece of the plaid Country Club Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″). Punch a Garden Green heart using the Heart Punch Pack from the Heartfelt Bundle. Stamp the dotted heart onto Whisper White cardstock using Night of Navy Stampin’ Pad. Use heart punch to cut the shape. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set in the Annual Catalog. Add he green heart to the card using snail adhesive and layer the sentiment heart atop the green heart using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A Rhinestone Basic Jewel adds a touch of sparkle to the sentiment heart. Finish the card by wrapping the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the card and tying into a flat knot.
Hopefully, you were able to view my Facebook posts featuring photos of some of the spots visited. As we were cruising, internet was not reliable thus I did not post as many photos as planned. Our trip was outstanding and we were able to cross a few places off of our bucket list. Below are a couple of highlights from our excursion to Machu Picchu. Definitely, add this wonder to your trip bucket list.
Thank you for stopping by today. Have a great weekend and check back next week for more project ideas!

Are you looking for some quick to make gift tags? I have you covered with these last minute gift tags. I don’t know about you but it seems that at Christmas, I am rushing to finish wrapping presents. Since a gift needs a tag, it needs to be quick to make. The three gift tags that I’m sharing today are quick and easy making them perfect to create last minute. For the three tags, I decided to use different themes for each – a snowman, a pine tree and a penguin.
Penguin Gift Tag:
Create a tag base by cutting a piece of Whisper White cardstock 2″ x 4-1/2″ and punch one end using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. If desired, round the corners on the opposite end of the tag using the Detailed Trio Punch. Stamp the penguin from the Playful Penguin stamp set onto the tag using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the scarf using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad. Fussy cut the scarf and add to the stamped penguin using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, stamp Merriest Wishes on the front and To/From on the back of the tag using the Real Red ink. If desired, complete by adding a ribbon or twine to the tag.
Pine Tree Gift Tag:
Use the Pine Tree Punch to cut a tree from the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper. With the 2″ circle punch, cut two pieces of Whisper White cardstock (one for the front of the tag and one for the back). Use a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies to cut a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock. Add the Whisper White circles to scalloped circle using Snail Adhesive. One one side, attach the Pine Tree to the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals and on the reverse stamp To/From. Stamp the “No Peeking Til Christmas” from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Then, fussy cut around the sentiment and attach to the Pine Tree. Tie a small ribbon to add to the top of the tree. With a handheld punch, punch a small hole into the top of the tag. Thread a thin ribbon or Baker’s Twine through the hole and tie. NOTE: the gold twine on my sample is a discontinued product but you can color Whisper White Baker’s Twine with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend to use in place of the gold twine.
Snowman Gift Tag:
Create the tag base by using the Delightful Tag Topper on one end of a 2″ x 4-1/4″ strip of Whisper White cardstock. Cut a 1-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ background piece from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. Attach to the Whisper White tag base. Using the Layering Ovals Dies, cut a snowman from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. Attach to the background layer using Snail adhesive. Stamp sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad. Cut using the Classic Label Punch. NOTE: the sentiment is from the Most Wonderful Product Medley. Or, select your favorite holiday sentiment to use.
Though I have chosen to use three different designs, you may decide to create one style to use on your gift packages. Whichever you prefer, the gift tags will be quick and easy to create last minute!
Time is running out for Holiday shipping so place your orders soon. Note – many of the products used will not be available after January 2, 2020. Therefore, be sure to order your favorites so you’ll have them for future use.

It’s hard to believe that it’s December already. Since Thanksgiving was later this year, it seems Christmas will be here in a flash. I spent the weekend putting up a few holiday decorations and decided that this year, I would scale back in comparison to past years. What’s great is the decorating is complete. I can now relax and enjoy the holiday touches.
That brings me to today’s project, an embellished Copper Tea Tin. Have you seen the Copper Tea Tins in the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog? You can find them on page 173. Four tins come in the package. The tins are perfect for embellishing and for creating a quick gift. I plan to fill the tea tins with small cookies and candies for holiday gifting. A huge thank you to Patty Bennett for the inspiration! For this tin, the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper creates the backdrop for the embellishing. However, this particular Designer Series Paper is no longer available. If you do not have this particular paper, no worries as next week I’ll provide alternatives for embellishing the Copper Tea Tin.
Details for embellishing the Copper Tea Tin:
Wrap a piece of 3″ x 12″ of Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper around the Copper Tea Tin, secure with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Cut a coordinating piece of the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper, 2″ x 12″ and wrap it around the first layer of Designer Series Paper.
Color the 1/2″ Classic Weave Ribbon using the Dark Pretty Peacock Blends. Set aside to dry for a few minutes while working on other project elements.
Using the Stitched Stars Dies, cut a star from Very Vanilla cardstock. Layer a large star from the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements on top. TIP: use a glue dot in the center of the star to attach it to the Very Vanilla.
On Whisper White cardstock, stamp the holly from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set using Mossy Meadow Classic Ink Pad. Use a Blender Pen to pull the ink from the stamped image and color the holly leaves. Fussy cut using Paper Snips.
For the berries, use Night of Navy Classic Ink Pad to stamp another holly. Again, use a Blender Pen to pull the ink from the stamped lines to color the berries. Fussy cut the berries and add to the holly leaves with Mini Glue Dots.
Stamp the sentiment from the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock using Night of Navy Classic Ink Pad. Cut with the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies.
Assemble layers: first wrap the Classic Weave ribbon around the tin and tie on side in a knot. Add the star using Tear & Tape adhesive. Next add the sentiment tag and the Holly onto the star using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Complete by embellishing with Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Have you noticed that I am now in full on Christmas mode?! The past couple of weeks, I have been enjoying creating a variety of Christmas themed cards and projects. Don’t worry though, I still have some Fall theme projects to share with you before the full force of Christmas arrives after Thanksgiving. Today’s post, Brightly Gleaming Merry Christmas, is another make ‘n take card from Stamping Bingo. The card elements include the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Christmas Gleaming Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog. The elements from the Brightly Gleaming Suite are elegant and gorgeous. It is easy to create simple but beautiful projects with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and accompanying embellishments. That’s the case with the Brightly Gleaming Merry Christmas Card.
For the card base, cut Pretty Peacock cardstock at 4-1-4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold on score line.
The second layer is Very Vanilla cardstock, cut 4″ x 5-1/4″. To add texture, emboss with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Attach to the card base with adhesive.
Cut a 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of the stripe design from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. Using a strong adhesive, attach to the center of the Very Vanilla cardstock layer.
Then use the ornament punch to cut an ornament shape from a coordinating piece of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. Attach to a stitched oval cut from Very Vanilla cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Layer onto a Pretty Peacock cardstock scallop oval cut using the Layering Ovals Dies. Center onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the sentiment, stamp the Merry Christmas from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad. Using paper snips, cut the around the perimeter of the sentiment. Refer to card photo for placement onto the card.
To finish the card, embellish with the sprigs from the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements. For the final embellishment, add a bow using the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon.
Also, don’t forget to embellish the card interior…
Hope you enjoyed this project. Thanks for stopping by and check back soon for more inspiration. Happy crafting…

Each month the top sales performers in the Playtime with Paper group receive a small gift for their accomplishment. Naturally, the gift must include a card or tag. Using the Over the Moon Cling Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog, I was able to make an “Udderly Fantastic” note card . As you can tell from the “udderly fantastic”, there must be a cow somewhere on the card! If you noticed from my past posts, I enjoy using the note cards. The note cards are perfect to have on hand when you want to prepare a quick card. Best of all, twenty note cards come in a set, are reasonably priced and envelopes are included.
Here are the steps for creating the card:
The stamp for creating the cow spots background comes from the Love What You Do Stamp Set. Randomly stamp spots onto the Whisper White Note Card using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Stamp the sentiment and the cow onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Cut using the large circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
Color the cow using the following Stampin’ Blends: Light Black for the spots, hoof, and tail; Light Smoky Slate for the tail, hair tuft and shading shadows; Light Petal Pink for the face, udder and inside ears and Light Mossy Meadow for the grass.
Use the large scallop from the Layering Circles die to cut a layering piece from Basic Black cardstock. Attach the cow piece to the scallop using adhesive.
Tie a piece of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the card.
Complete the card by adding the cow tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Order the Over the Moon Stamp Set along with some note cards and have an udderly fun time creating a variety of cards!

Are you looking for a simple Halloween Card to make? This card has you covered! The beauty of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper are the wonderful designs to use on craft creations. Notice the Designer Series Paper panel on the card below? It’s a bookshelf with interesting book titles and is one of my favorite papers from the package. With the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder, you can easily take your card “up a notch” by adding texture to one of the card layers.
Card Base is Terracotta Tile cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) score and fold at 4-1/4″.
Cut a Basic Black layer 4″ x 5-1/4″. Attach to the Terracotta Tile card base with Snail Adhesive.
Using a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, texture embellish using the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Attach a 5″ x 2″ piece of Monster Mash Designer Series Paper to the lower half of the texture embossed Crushed Curry cardstock. Before adding to the Basic Black layer, wrap Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon across the card front where the Designer Series Paper and Crushed Curry cardstock meet. (refer to photo)
Punch the girl ghoul image from the Monster Mash Designer Series Paper with the 2″ circle punch. Add to top of the card using Snail Adhesive.
Complete the card front by stamping the sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set with Memento black onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the coordinating Ornate Frames Dies. Attach to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a couple of the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes as an embellishment around the sentiment.
See how simple it is to make this card! The only stamping is for the sentiment.
