To celebrate the official start of baseball season, I created a bag of treats for my son. He’s an avid Atlanta Braves fan so what better than Cracker Jacks, peanuts and Baby Ruth candy bars to enjoy while watching the ballgames. And of course, the treat needed a baseball themed tag! By using the Your Biggest Fan bundle and the Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper, the Hey Sports Fan tag comes together quickly. Do you see the baseball on the tag? Be sure to watch the assembly video below for tips on making a baseball. I also used the Hat Builder Dies to add a small baseball cap to the tag. (NOTE: The Hat Builder Dies are retiring so if you don’t have the dies, you may want to consider adding them to your die collection.) While adding the hat is optional, it definitely adds a finishing touch!

In the March card class, the focus was using the Hey Sports Fan Product Suite. Included in the project suite is the Your Biggest Fan Bundle. The bundle includes the Your Biggest Fan Stamp Set and coordinating Sports Event Dies. Even better, the Hat Builder Dies complement the Hey Sports Fan products and add a perfect touch to today’s project. The Father’s Day sentiment can easily be change to fit another occasion. Earlier this week, the Playtime with Paper team met for our quarterly meeting. Part of the meeting focused on practicing different coloring techniques. One technique was to use Blender Pens with ink pads for coloring and shading. The Honeybee Home gift tag was the end product. When learning to color with Blender Pens, I recommend selecting a simple design and limiting the number of ink colors. This helps prevent becoming overwhelmed! By using the elements from the Honeybee Home Stamp Set, it was easy to practice coloring and shading. And since I am a fan of making gift tags, using the Tailor Made Tags to cut a base for the images made it a quick project to complete. Below is the list of materials and a video with coloring tips plus tag assembly.

This week, I am sharing another card from the recent All About Tulips Class. It’s a Windmill Side Panel Step card. This is a fun card to make and though it looks complicated, it’s not. The only stamping is the sentiment. The remainder of design elements include the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper and die cuts! You’ll find all the components for the windmill in the Windmill Fields Dies. After prepping the materials, the assembly only takes a few minutes so it’s one of those projects where you can plan to make card multiples. Just cut the extra pieces and have everything ready to assemble at once. You’ll find the assembly video for the Windmill Side Panel Step Card and the project material dimensions below.

It was time for me to use the Flowering Tulips Bundle so for the recent card class, the theme was All About Tulips. What a fun bundle! Today’s project features the Hello Ladybug Bundle in the Stampin’ Up! Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog. The bundle includes the Hello Ladybug Photopolymer Stamp Set and a coordinating Ladybug Builder Punch. The punch enables you to quickly create projects. Did you know in folklore ladybugs are a sign of good luck? So, when a ladybug lands on you luck is coming your way! Another fact about ladybugs – the little beetles come in a variety of colors, not just red. Ladybugs can be orange, pink, yellow, white, and even black. Though I have only seen red ladybugs, knowing there are colorful varieties in nature made it fun when creating today’s card project. Of course, the great thing is you can select your favorite Stampin’ Up! colors and create your own unique ladybugs!

Assembly:
Create a book fold card base by folding along score lines on the card base. Use adhesive to seal the panel between the 4-1/4” score and the 5-1/2” score.
Add designer series paper panel to the card front panel.
Using Balmy Blue Classic Stampin’ Pad, randomly stamp flowers onto the Basic White cardstock 3-3/4” square panel. NOTE: Stamp off once onto a scrap paper and then stamp two times onto the Basic White before reinking the stamp.
Randomly stamp the large ladybug body onto the card using black ink. Attach to the card.
Stamp the wings and cut using the coordinating Ladybug Builder punch. Attach wings to the ladybugs on the card front.
Select sentiment and stamp onto strip of Basic White cardstock. Attach to the Real Red cardstock strip and then to the card front (refer to photo for placement).
Next, stamp the small ladybug and “fussy cut”. Add to the sentiment panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finish by embellishing with ribbon along the side of the left panel and adding Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
