Recently I was invited to join the Simple Suite Stampers. You may ask who are the Simple Suite Stampers and what’s it about? The Simple Suite Stampers is a design team of twelve Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators that create monthly tutorials. Each month a suite of products is chosen and each designer creates a simple project featuring items from the suite. For this month, the Sweet Talk Bundle is the feature. Even though Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, the tutorials feature inspiration for using the Sweet Talk Product Suite for different occasions. It’s easy to change sentiments to highlight the occasion you’re celebrating.
For my project, I opted to create an engagement card. The Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper is perfect for creating a wide variety of love themed projects.
Materials: (for full list of items used, scroll to Project Materials)
Pool Party Cardstock: 5-1/2 x 11 score and fold at 4-1/4″ for card base, 4-1/4″ x 3″ (layering piece), scraps for die cutting small flowers
Real Red Cardstock: 3″ x 3″
Basic White Cardstock: 3″ x 3/4″
Granny Apple Green Cardstock: Scrap for die cutting leaves
Designer Series Paper – Sweet Talk: 5-1/4″ x 4″; Stripe 4″ x 2-3/4″
Pool Party Sheer Ribbon
Instructions:
Create card base by layering as follows: large heart designer series paper, smaller rectangle of Pool Party Cardstock and on top, the striped Designer Series Paper panel.
Using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and heart die, cut and emboss the piece of Real Red Cardstock.
Die cut 3 small flowers from a scrap of Pool Party Cardstock and 2 leaves from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment from the Love & Happiness Stamp Set onto the strip of Basic White Cardstock using black ink pad and use die to cut shape.
Center heart onto top panel of card. Using Dimensionals add the sentiment across the heart. Layer the flowers and leaves on the left side of the sentiment.
Embellish center of flowers with Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
Complete by adding a small bow tied with the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon

Let’s have some fun with the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks. You’ll find the decorative masks on page 65 in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! It’s easy to overlook them but don’t! There’s lots you can do with the masks to create a variety of card fronts. I have created samples using two different Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative masks. Plus, you’ll see two different options for using the masks. One option uses a large floral mask to create a focal point for a card front and the other option uses the repeating small flower design to create a background. The holidays are over and I’m back ready to share lots of project ideas with you! Today, I’m am sharing the Blessings of Home Bundle from the new Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog. This cute Elf Christmas Gift Tag uses the Delicate Baubles Dies. The idea for creating an elf using the dies is from Connie Babbert at www.inkspiredtreasures.com. She has an array of cards using the dies for holiday characters. When I saw the elf on the card she created, I knew it would make a cute gift tag. Halloween will be here in a few days so I’m sharing a quick gift idea – a “Cute Halloween” Hand Lotion Package. It uses the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper from the Stampin’ Up! July-Dec Mini Catalog. This is one of my favorite “go-to” packages for small hand lotions (approx. 1 ounce size). The packages are very easy and quick to assemble using designer series paper. Carrying through with the Halloween theme, I’m using the coordinating Cutest Halloween Bundle and the Tailored Tags Dies to create simple tags. Friends and family members will enjoy these “non-caloric” Halloween treats!!!
Below is the project information for the “Cute Halloween” Hand Lotion Package and a video on how to score, cut and assemble the hand lotion package.
Cute Halloween Hand Lotion Package Cutting, Scoring & Assembling:
Cute Halloween 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper: cut 4-1/2″ x 6″
on the 4-1/2″ side, score at 2″ and 4″
rotate 90 and score on one 6″ side at 1″ (NOTE: if paper has a vertical design, be sure to score so that pattern will be running vertical and score line is at bottom of the paper.)
turn paper again and with the horizontal 1″ score line at the top of the score board and the 1/2″ vertical score line to the right – score at 1″ and 3″ just up to the 1″ horizontal score line (this is demonstrated in the video below) Alternate Size: if your hand lotion tube is slightly longer, instead of scoring horizontally at 1″, score at 3/4″ – all other measurements remain the same.
Fold & burnish on all score lines.
With paper snips, cut along all of the vertical score lines up to the 1″ horizontal score line. Cut and remove the 1/2″ panel piece below the 1″ horizontal score line. (This will form the bottom of the package.)
Fold along the long vertical score lines and insert the top into the Delightful Tag Topper Punch and punch to create top of the box.
With a strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape, Seal+ or Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, create a “tube” by sealing the side of the package. Place the adhesive on the 1/2″ side flap and fold other side to meet – press firmly to seal.
Next, form bottom by folding the flaps and sealing with strong adhesive.
