Hi everyone! I’m back after taking off the month of August. It was a busy month with other obligations plus some travel so posting to my blog was pushed to the bottom of the to-do list. I bet you all can relate to having lots to do with not enough time (LOL)! The good news is I have lots of projects completed and will be sharing a new project each week (maybe even two!). So be sure to subscribe to receive notifications of my postings. Now on to our project featuring the Apple Harvest Stamp Set.
Today’s project focuses on the branch of apples stamp from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set. This card is one that I made for a swap at the recent Stampin’ Up! Backstage business development event for demonstrators. It was lots of fun coloring the image using Stampin’ Blends and below is a video showing how to color the apples. And great news – for the month of September, the Perfect Partners Promotion includes the Apple Harvest Bundle with the coordinating Apple Blossoms Dies. Or you can purchase the dies separately if you already own the stamp set. Important to note, the Apple Blossom Dies are only available during the month of September or while supplies last so place your order today. You’ll find additional information in the Reminders section below.

This month, the Simple Suite Stampers Creative Team is focusing on the Lovely In Linen Suite Collection from the Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. The creative team consists of twelve Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from across the United States and I am honored to be a member of the group. Each month, we create a project focusing on a particular suite of products. We strive to keep the projects simple so you can complete beautiful projects in a short time frame.
For my project, a variety of the colorful Lovely in Linen Designer Series Paper prints are being used for layering. Adding coordinating cardstock as a background for each print helps to balance the “busyness” of the different designs.
To make it easy for you, a tutorial consisting of the twelve projects has been created.

To celebrate the official start of baseball season, I created a bag of treats for my son. He’s an avid Atlanta Braves fan so what better than Cracker Jacks, peanuts and Baby Ruth candy bars to enjoy while watching the ballgames. And of course, the treat needed a baseball themed tag! By using the Your Biggest Fan bundle and the Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper, the Hey Sports Fan tag comes together quickly. Do you see the baseball on the tag? Be sure to watch the assembly video below for tips on making a baseball. I also used the Hat Builder Dies to add a small baseball cap to the tag. (NOTE: The Hat Builder Dies are retiring so if you don’t have the dies, you may want to consider adding them to your die collection.) While adding the hat is optional, it definitely adds a finishing touch!
Here’s the Hey Sports Fan tag on the treat bag of goodies…
Even if you aren’t a baseball fan, wouldn’t you like to receive these goodies?

Earlier this week, the Playtime with Paper team met for our quarterly meeting. Part of the meeting focused on practicing different coloring techniques. One technique was to use Blender Pens with ink pads for coloring and shading. The Honeybee Home gift tag was the end product. When learning to color with Blender Pens, I recommend selecting a simple design and limiting the number of ink colors. This helps prevent becoming overwhelmed! By using the elements from the Honeybee Home Stamp Set, it was easy to practice coloring and shading. And since I am a fan of making gift tags, using the Tailor Made Tags to cut a base for the images made it a quick project to complete. Below is the list of materials and a video with coloring tips plus tag assembly.
Here’s another option for the gift tag…add it to the front of a note card.

This week, I am sharing another card from the recent All About Tulips Class. It’s a Windmill Side Panel Step card. This is a fun card to make and though it looks complicated, it’s not. The only stamping is the sentiment. The remainder of design elements include the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper and die cuts! You’ll find all the components for the windmill in the Windmill Fields Dies. After prepping the materials, the assembly only takes a few minutes so it’s one of those projects where you can plan to make card multiples. Just cut the extra pieces and have everything ready to assemble at once. You’ll find the assembly video for the Windmill Side Panel Step Card and the project material dimensions below.
I hope you have fun creating this windmill and tulip inspired card. The Simple Suite Stampers are featuring Heart & Home Product Suite this month so in my next post, I’ll be sharing a project using the suite. Plus, I’ll have details on how you can get this month’s tutorials. Be sure to subscribe to receive my posts so you won’t miss out on the latest project ideas!
