Forever Greenery Leaves

In this month’s ZOOM card class, one of the cards for participants features the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.  Specifically, the Forever Greenery Leaves page.  So, aptly the card is named to reflect the paper used! Flowers for Every Season

Have you taken note that I enjoy using the various products in the Flowers for Every Season Suite Collection?  I just realized that my past few posts have incorporated items from the suite. So of course, today’s post is no different!  I’m loving the versatility of the product suite. It provides the ability to combine the different elements to create a variety of cards.  Today’s card uses the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Card Pack, as well as, a piece of the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.

Here are some of the card details:
  • The front of the card base is texture embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  The floral print layer is from the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Card Pack.  The 1-1/4″ strip is a piece of the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.  After stamping and cutting the sentiment layer, add a few sprigs of leaves from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Designer Series Paper to the label.  Finally, complete by embellishing with a small bow.

The design is the from the weekly design challenge for the Playtime with Paper team.  Each week, I select a design or color challenge for the team to use.  Below is this week’s challenge from the Sunday Stamps Blog.

In addition to my take on the design, I am including a card created by Playtime with Paper team member, Linda Edwards of Crafty Heron Designs.  Linda’s card features the Forever Greenery Suite Collection.  Isn’t her card stunning?

Speaking of the Playtime with Paper team, this month is a great time to join Stampin’ Up! and becoming a member of my team.  From now until June 30, not only will you your Starter Kit—already a great value at $99 for $125 worth of products—but for a limited time, you can select any stamp/tool bundle from the new 2020–2021 Annual Catalog for FREE. Celebrate with Sunflowers

While waiting for delivery of my new product order, I continue to create cards using the items from my preorder.  One of the suites demonstrators could order early is the Flowers for Every Season Suite.  The suite is full of products that coordinate.  For today’s Celebrate with Sunflowers card, the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper provides a beautiful floral base for the sentiment.  With the colorful designs in the paper, it makes it easy to create beautiful cards. The designer series paper design incorporates the new 2020-2022 In Colors, so I used the coordinating cardstock for the card.    The sentiment and leaf embellishments are in the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle which is also part of the Flowers for Every Season Suite.

Celebrate with Sunflowers

Card Details:
  • Card base: Cut Cinnamon Cider cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″ and fold.
  • First Layer: Bumblebee cardstock cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″.  Attach to the Cinnamon Cider cardstock card base.
  • Cut the sunflower print from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series paper to 5″ x 3-3/4″.  Adhere to the Bumblebee cardstock layer.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set on the center of a 1-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.  Cut using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.
  • Using the Sunflowers Dies, cut 2 of the large leaves and the coordinating leaf veins from Just Jade cardstock.  Assemble the leaves by adding the veins to the coordinating leaf.  TIP: Use the Adhesive Sheets for the leaf veins.  This makes it easy to attach to the coordinating leaf base.
  • Add the leaves to the back of the sentiment label with adhesive and then attach the label to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Tie a small bow using the Bumblebee In Color 1/4″ Ribbon and add to the side of the sentiment label.
  • Embellish the label using the Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots from the  2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots collection.

Under the Project Materials section, you’ll find links to the products used for this card.  You can purchase the entire Flowers for Every Season Suite or just  the individual components that you prefer.

Poppy Moments Wedding Card

Due to the current health situation, many weddings have to be postponed.  When the event is rescheduled, be prepared with a beautiful card.  I’m calling today’s card the Poppy Moments Wedding Card, since it features poppies cut with the Poppies Moments Dies. The sentiment and label are from the So Sentimental Bundle.  Due to social distancing, the May card class was held via Zoom and participants had fun creating this card together virtually.

And hip, hip, hooray!  I have a You Tube video tutorial for you.  It’s the first, but I promise you not the last that I’ll create.  Yes, it took me awhile but I think I have the filming and editing somewhat figured out.  Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! Blossoms In Bloom

At the recent Luv 2 Stampin GA group meeting, we held a card swap to share card ideas with one another.  For my creation, the goal became combining new product with retiring products. For the new product, I choose the new Blossoms in Bloom Bundle. The Blossoms In Bloom Stamp Set and coordinating Many Layered Blossoms Dies offer versatility for creating beautiful floral themed cards.  Mark your calendar, you can order this set on June 3, 2020.  For the card below, I stamped the blossoms stamp and die cut an overlay from the retiring Woven Threads Designer Series Paper.  I love the look the designer series paper gives to the flowers.  Details for you to recreate the card are below.

Blossoms In Bloom Card Details:
  • Create card base by cutting a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, then score at 4-1/4″ and fold.
  • With the Many Layered Blossoms Dies, cut the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (6″ x 6″ piece) to create overlay. Check out the discounted price under Project Materials below!
  • Cut Whisper White cardstock layer – 5-1/4″ x 4″.  Use the cut blossoms layer as your guide to determine where to stamp the flower centers.
  • Using the large blossoms stamp from the Blossoms In Bloom Set, stamp onto the Whisper White cardstock with Seaside Spray Classic Stampin’ Pad.  Attach to the Rococo Rose card base using adhesive.
  • Add the blossoms overlay to the stamped blooms using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • On a scrap piece of Whisper White (approximately 1/2″ x 2-1/2″), stamp the sentiment using Rococo Rose Classic Stampin’ Pad.  This sentiment comes from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set.  After stamping, cut a “v shape” to create a pennant end.  Add to the card using Mini Glue Dots.
  • Finish the card by tying a knotted bow using the Rococo Rose Scalloped Ribbon and attach beside the sentiment with glue dots.

The Blossoms In Bloom Bundle will offer you lots of creative options.  Be sure to order it on June 3 and have fun using Designer Series Papers to create different layering pieces.

Forever Greenery “Sneak Peek”

My product preorder recently arrived and I’m loving the new products.  So I thought I would give you a sneak peak at one of my favorites, the Forever Greenery Suite.  Today’s card uses several products from the Forever Greenery Suite – the Forever Fern Bundle and the gorgeous Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.  The catalog photos of the designer series paper are nice but just wait until you actually see the paper.  The colors are deep and vibrant so you’ll be able to create a variety of beautiful “wow” projects.  The card below is a simple card that highlights a couple prints from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.

Forever Greenery

Card Details:
  • For base: use a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, then score at 5-1/2″ and fold to create the base.
  • Select coordinating prints from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Cut the first layer of DSP to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and attach to the card base front.  Cut the second layer of DSP to 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″.  Adhere to the first layer of DSP on the card front.
  • Using the Forever Fern Stamp Set, stamp the berry stem onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Pretty Peacock Classic Ink Pad.  Stamp the two sets of medium leaves using Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad onto Whisper White cardstock.  Cut the shapes using the coordinating Forever Flourishing Dies.
  • On a 2″ square of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment using the Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad.  With the Stitched Shapes Dies, cut the stitched circle so that the sentiment is toward the right side of the circle (refer to card photo).
  • Add the leaves to the back of the sentiment circle using mini glue dots.  Then attach the berries by offsetting by the sentiment.
  • Complete the card by adding the sentiment layer to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Per Stampin’ Up! regulations, demonstrators are not able to post photos from the upcoming Annual Catalog until June 3.  But once the catalog is released, I’ll be able to share videos with you that showcase the various bundles and other products.  You’ll find the list of products for this project under the Project Materials section below.  NOTE: the Forever Greenery products are not available for purchase until June 3, 2020.  Just be sure to add the Forever Greenery Suite to your wish list!
