In my last post, photos of the Gilded Autumn Suite from the August – December Mini Catalog were shared. So for today’s post, I am sharing one of the cards I have made using products from the suite. There’s much to like in this suite but the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper is absolutely gorgeous! The elegant designs in earthy colors and papers with copper and gold foil make it difficult to decide which side of the paper you want to use. Even better, is that some of the images can be cut using the Autumn Punch Pack. Combine the designer series paper with the Beautiful Autumn Bundle, add the Acorn Trinkets and the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack and you’ve got lots to use for designing Fall card and projects.
For my project, I am using three designs from the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper. Notice how well the different patterns blend together? The Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso combine to provide a beautiful color scheme.
Recreating the card:
- Card base is Cajun Craze cut 5-1/2″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded.
- The Gilded Autumn Designer Series layers are: 5-1/4″ x 4″, 5-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ and 2″ x 3-1/2″. Add the layers to the card base using Stampin’ Seal.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set onto a 3/4″ x 3″ strip of Very Vanilla cardstock using Cajun Craze Classic Stampin’ Pad. Cut decorate ends on the sentiment label using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
- On a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp two oak leaves using Mint Macaron Classic Stampin’ Pad and one maple leaf using Cajun Craze Classic Stampin’ Pad. TIP: when stamping the interior of each leaf, stamp off one time onto a scrap of paper before stamping inside the outline image.
- After stamping the leaves, use the coordinating punches from the Autumn Punch Pack to cut.
- Add the label to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals (refer to photo for placement).
- Complete by embellishing with the cut leaves and adding a small bow tied using the Copper Metallic Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
- Of course, don’t forget to embellish the envelope and the card interior!

It’s a new month and to kick it off, we have the August 3D Tutorial Bundle! In addition to the tutorial bundle, the team is featuring a blog hop! We’re each sharing a second project created using the same products to coordinate with our tutorial project. You’ll find the blog hop links at the bottom of this post. This month, the team is featuring products from the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle.

Now for a Sneak Peek of the August 3D projects…
For me, my coordinating project is the perfect card! I’ve been known to partake in the guilty pleasures all in the same day, especially the past few months! Can you relate?
Card Details:
- The card base uses the Misty Moonlight cardstock (4-1/4″ x 11″, scored & folded at 5-1/2″).
- Next, add Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper (5-1/4″ x 4″) to the card base.
- With a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the words: Coffee, Cookies, Chocolate and Cocktails using Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad. TIP: use the Stamparatus to align and space the words. Be sure to leave enough space for the images beside the word. Add to the Artistry Blooms layer using Stampin’ Seal.
- Using scrap pieces of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the coffee cup, the cookie, the chocolate and the cocktail.
- For the coffee cup, stamp the cup outline using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. For the cup interior, use the Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Pad but stamp off onto a scrap of paper before stamping the cup interior.
- Stamp the cookie and the chocolate outline using Soft Suede Classic Ink Pad and again, stamp off with the ink for the solid interior stamps.
- For the cocktail glass outline, use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. And for the beverage in the glass, use Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Pad and stamp off twice before stamping in the cocktail glass outline. Use Petal Pink Light Stampin’ Blends Marker to color the umbrella and Daffodil Delight Light Stampin’ Blends Marker to color the lemon slice.
- With the coordinating Love You More Than dies, cut the stamped coffee cup, cookie, chocolate and cocktail. Add to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- For the sentiment phrases, cut strips of Granny Apple Green cardstock (5/8″ x 1-5/8″ and 5/8″ x 1-7/8″). Stamp the phrases onto the strips using the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink pad and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- To complete the interior, use a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then, stamp the phrase using the Tuxedo Black and repeat the process from above for the cocktail glass.

A friend recently had a birthday and to celebrate, I sent her a small gift. If you receive my newsletter, you’ll recall the peony birthday card along with instructions for creating the card. As promised, I am sharing the coordinating Peony Gift Box that includes the inspiration for both the box and the birthday card. One of my go-to places for small personal gifts is Bath & Body Works. So after receiving an email showcasing a selection of peony bath gel and lotions, an order was quickly placed. The items coordinate perfectly with products from the Peony Garden Suite Collection.
Project Details:
As you see in the photo, I crafted a box from a 12″ x 12″ Night of Navy cardstock (from the Neutrals 12″ x 12″ cardstock pack) cut to size for the box bottom plus it’s matches the blue on the Bath & Body Works products. For the box top, a piece of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper is cut to fit the box bottom. For creating boxes, I use the instructions provided by Donna Griffith in her You Tube video, How to Make Your Own Box. Her detailed instructions make it easy to create boxes sized specifically for a project.
After creating the box, use the Peony Dies to cut Blushing Bride cardstock for the flower. Next, sponge each of the pieces for the flower using Melon Mambo Classic Stampin’ Pad before assembling. Tip: When sponging, use a swiping motion with the sponge to drag the ink across the layer. Now, assemble the peony. And to create dimension between the peony layers, tuck Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals between the cardstock layers. Finish the flower by adding the stamen using a mini glue dot. The stamen is die cut from a scrap of Bumblebee cardstock. Notice how the Stampin’ Up! colors match the peony colors on the lotion and gel containers perfectly? For the leaves, cut 3 sets using the Peony Dies. Garden Green cardstock forms the main leaf body and contrasting leaf edges use Old Olive cardstock.
Finishing the Peony Gift Box top:
Next, create a base for the peony label by cutting a piece of Night of Navy cardstock using the Tasteful Labels Dies. Attach a Gold Foil circle cut with the 2-1/4″ circle punch to the Night of Navy label. Finish by arranging the leaves and adding the peony to the label using Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Ribbon is wrapped around the center of the box lid and glued inside the flaps. The Night of Navy ribbon on the project is retired and no longer available but you can substitute a Whisper White Ribbon or color a ribbon with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. Add the Peony Label to the box using a strong adhesive such as Stampin’ Seal+. Complete by adding a bow just below the peony on the label. Add to the Night of Navy box bottom and your gift box is complete!

Today’s project is a quick and easy Matchbook Style Treat Holder. The treat holders were “a little something” in the June To-Go Class packages. The new 2020-2022 In Color cardstock provides the coordinating base for the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper. I just love that the Flowers with Every Season Designer Series Paper coordinates with all of the new In Colors! The small packages of m&m candies fit perfectly inside the Matchbook Style Treat Holder but it’s easy to place other treats inside of a small cellophane bag to insert into the treat holder.

How To Create the Matchbook Style Treat Holder:
For the matchbook body: Cut a piece of cardstock 2-3/4″ x 8-1/2″. Score at 3-1/2″, 4″ and 7-3/4″; burnish the score lines with a bone folder. Then, fold along the 7-3/4″ score line and staple to create a tab to hold the top closed. (remember, we’re making a matchbook)
Next, cut the following:
- coordinating cardstock – one piece at 2-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ and another piece at 2-1/2″ x 5/8″
- Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper: one piece 2-1/2″ x 3″ & one piece 2-1/4″ x 1/2″
After cutting, add the designer series paper to the cardstock pieces using Stampin’ Seal. Attach the layered panels to the front of the matchbook.
Stamp the “A Little Something” from the Parcels and Petal Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. After stamping, use the 1-1/2″ circle punch to cut (position so that the sentiment is toward the bottom of the circle leaving room for the ribbon).
Finish by tying a small bow using the 2020-2022 In Colors 1/4″ ribbon. Add to the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.
Don’t you love how simple it is to make these treat holders? One piece of 8-1/2 x 11″ cardstock will make four treat holders so you can create lots of treat holders quickly!
Personal note: I did a video showing how to make these treat holders and was all set to add it but alas, it’s sideways! After several hours of trying to edit and correct, I gave up – the technology gremlins won!!!

While waiting for delivery of my new product order, I continue to create cards using the items from my preorder. One of the suites demonstrators could order early is the Flowers for Every Season Suite. The suite is full of products that coordinate. For today’s Celebrate with Sunflowers card, the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper provides a beautiful floral base for the sentiment. With the colorful designs in the paper, it makes it easy to create beautiful cards. The designer series paper design incorporates the new 2020-2022 In Colors, so I used the coordinating cardstock for the card. The sentiment and leaf embellishments are in the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle which is also part of the Flowers for Every Season Suite.
Card Details:
- Card base: Cut Cinnamon Cider cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″ and fold.
- First Layer: Bumblebee cardstock cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″. Attach to the Cinnamon Cider cardstock card base.
- Cut the sunflower print from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series paper to 5″ x 3-3/4″. Adhere to the Bumblebee cardstock layer.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set on the center of a 1-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Cut using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.
- Using the Sunflowers Dies, cut 2 of the large leaves and the coordinating leaf veins from Just Jade cardstock. Assemble the leaves by adding the veins to the coordinating leaf. TIP: Use the Adhesive Sheets for the leaf veins. This makes it easy to attach to the coordinating leaf base.
- Add the leaves to the back of the sentiment label with adhesive and then attach the label to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Tie a small bow using the Bumblebee In Color 1/4″ Ribbon and add to the side of the sentiment label.
- Embellish the label using the Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots collection.
