Enjoy The Moment

Have you ever purchased a stamp set and then wondered what type card design you were going to make once you received it?  Well, that is the case with today’s stamp set, Enjoy The Moment.  So what did I do? I selected a couple of the stamps and decided to play.  No plan in mind but just to stamp.  Several colors were selected and then I just started stamping on various papers.  Guess what happened? A few ideas came to mind. So I’m sharing two simple cards using the Enjoy The Moment stamp set.

Enjoy The Moment

Details:
  • For the “a little note” card on the left, a card base is created using Early Espresso cardstock.  Follow with a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock.  To the Crumb Cake layer, add a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  Stamp the image onto a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock (1-3/4″ x 5″) using Soft Suede Classic Ink Pad.  Stamp the sentiment below the image.  To add a touch of sparkle, color the pods using clear Wink of Stella (unfortunately, it doesn’t show in photo) Attach the strip to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Complete the card by adding a double Linen Thread bow.
  • Now, for a super simple card!  Create a card base using Soft Suede cardstock.  Create background by randomly stamping the dual seed pods onto the cardstock using Soft Suede Classic Ink.  Next, use the “seed” stamp to add seeds on the card base.  Stamp the sentiment and the dual seed pods onto a 3″ x 3″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Cut using the 2nd largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Tie a piece of the Vanilla Open-Weave Ribbon (from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack) around the card front and tie into a bow.  Add the sentiment label next to the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Both of these cards are simple to make which are perfect for highlighting the Enjoy The Moment Stamp Set.  Other ideas came to mind when making these cards so look for more projects soon highlighting this stamp set.

Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card

For the past few weeks, I’ve been sharing a variety of Christmas card designs.  This Poinsettia Petals Christmas card is one of my favorite designs.  To cut the flowers petals, the Poinsettia Dies cut the Red Velvet Paper Pack creating a gorgeous poinsettia flower.  For an elegant card base, the Wonder of the Season Memories & More cards with matching envelopes work perfectly. For added elegance, the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper and the Beaded Pearls embellishment are used.  And for extra glam, the sentiment is heat embossed using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Below the photo, you’ll find tips for creating the card along with a list of project materials.

Poinsettia Christmas Card

Materials:
  • Poinsettia Petals Bundle
  • Wonder of the Season Memories & More Cards with Envelopes
  • Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper (3” x 4”)
  • Red Velvet Paper Pack
  • Garden Green Cardstock & Garden Green Classic Ink Pad
  • Silver Foil Sheet
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Versamark Pad
  • Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder
  • Beaded Pearls
  • 5/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon
  • Adhesive Sheets (3” x 4”)
  • Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Glue Dots
  • Paper Snips
  • Sponge Dauber
  • Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Heat Tool
Directions:
  1. Using the Poinsettia Dies, cut the following:
    • from the Red Velvet Paper Pack
      • one large poinsettia layer
      • one medium poinsettia layer
      • one small poinsettia layer
    • from Garden Green cardstock
      • cut 3 leaves
    • from Silver Foil Sheet
      • cut 3 berry fronds
  2. Attach the 3″ x 4″ adhesive sheet to the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper. Then, attach to the card base front being sure to center inside the red frame on the card. (TIP: use adhesive sheets with vellum style paper to attach without the adhesive showing)
  3. Assemble and layer the poinsettia (large, medium, small flower) using glue dots and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the layers. TIP: place the mini dimensionals under the layers of poinsettia petals for added dimension to the flower.
  4. Use the Garden Green Classic Ink Pad to sponge edges of leaves..
  5. Attach leaves and silver fronds behind the poinsettia using glue dots.
  6. Tuck strips of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon behind the leaves & fronds with glue dots.
  7. Use mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the flower to the left side of card front atop the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.
  8. Stamp sentiment using Versamark onto Whisper White cardstock, top with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set. Let cool slightly, then trim the paper around the sentiment using paper snips.  Attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You’ll definitely see more creations from me using the Red Velvet Paper Pack!  Cutting the velvet paper with embossing style dies creates added dimension.  I hope you’ll give it a try.

November 3-D Blog Hop

It’s time for the November 3-D  Blog Hop! We were formerly the 3-D Tutorial Blog Hop but decided to make the transition to a 3-D Blog Hop.  This enables us to offer you 3-D project and instructions directly on our blogs each month.  This month we are featuring 3-D Christmas projects for you. So be sure to “hop along” to see the creative projects designed for you to use this holiday season!

One of my favorite small gifts each season are the Bath & Body Works hand sanitizers.  Of course, this year the hand sanitizers are a necessity!  I enjoy creating unique packaging for the hand sanitizers when presenting to friends and family.  A small inexpensive gift becomes special when specially wrapped.  Today’s packaging features the Snowflake Flake Wishes bundle.

Hand Sanitiz

Project Materials:
  • Balmy Blue cardstock:
    • Base: 1-3/4″ x 10″ score at 4-1/2″ and 5-1/2″
    • Band: 1″ x 6″ score at 1/2″, 2-1/4″, 3-1/4″ and 5″
  • Silver Foil: 2 pcs – 2″ x 2″ for snowflakes
  • Balmy Blue Gimmer Paper: 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ & 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ for snowflakes
  • Whisper White cardstock: 2″ x 2″ & 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ for snowflakes; 1/2″ x 2-1/2″ for sentiment
  • So Many Snowflakes Dies
  • Winter Snow Embossing Folder
  • Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
  • Banners Pick A Punch
  • Curvy Christmas Stamp Set
  • Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad
  • Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon: 6″
  • Blue Adhesive Backed Gems
To create holder base:
  1. First, punch the top and bottom of the 10″ strip of the Balmy Blue with the Scalloped Tag Topper.
  2. Then, texture emboss using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.  Note: slide each side of the holder strip into the embossing folder up to the score line on each side.  To seal the top, match the scalloped edges and close with glue dots.
  3. Now, wrap the band around the holder and seal the overlapping piece with a strong adhesive (Tear & Tape, Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Stampin’ Seal+).  TIP: do not attach the band to the holder base but use it to slide up/down to insert or remove the hand sanitizer.
Embellishing Hand Sanitizer Holder
  1. Cut the snowflakes using the mid-sized and smallest snowflake dies.  For my snowflakes, I cut the following: two Silver Foil using the same medium sized snowflake die; Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper: one using the 2nd largest snowflake die & one using the smallest snowflake die and from Whisper White cardstock: one small snowflake and one medium snowflake.  Create the snowflakes by layering the pieces and attaching each with glue dots.  To complete each snowflake, add a Blue Adhesive Backed Gem to the center. Notice, you will have one snowflake that is slightly larger than the other. Below is a photo of the dies used:
  2. Using Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad, stamp the sentiment onto the Whisper White strip.  Then, create the banner end using the Banners Pick A Punch.
  3. Wrap the Silver Metallic ribbon around the holder band and adhere.  TIP: place the seam on the front of the band so you can cover it with a snowflake.
  4. Add the largest snowflake with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional placing it over the seam where the ribbon overlaps.
  5. With glue dots, add the sentiment banner to the top of the holder.
  6. Finish by adding the remaining snowflake to the top of the holder beside the sentiment using a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  Insert the sanitizer into the holder.
See how easy it is to make the hand sanitizer holders?

Remember, you can create a holders for a variety of occasions just by using different embossing folders and dies.

Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas

Have you started making your holiday cards? If not, you’ll want to consider the Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas card I’m sharing. It’s one of the holiday card designs that I’ll be using as Christmas approaches.  The design is an Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas card and is from my Guest Stamper presentation for the Luv 2 Stamp team.  In previous posts, I provided you with other ideas for using this versatile stamp set and die bundle.  The Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas card is one of my favorite projects using the bundle. The Merry Merlot and Brushed Metallic cardstocks along with the Gold Cards & Envelopes create an elegant card.

Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas

Card Details:
  • With Arrange A Wreath dies, cut 2 leaf dies from the gold Brushed Metallic cardstock and one twig die from the Merry Merlot cardstock.
  • Using the largest flower die (6 petal flower); cut 6 flowers from the Merry Merlot cardstock.
  • Spritz the Merry Merlot flowers and twig wreath with the Champagne Mist.  (Does not show in photo but the spritzing adds a special glimmer touch!) After drying, layer two of the flowers together using a glue dot to hold the layers (creating 3 poinsettia flowers).
  • Next, stamp 5 leaves using Old Olive Classic Ink Pad onto Old Olive cardstock and cut with the coordinating die.
  • Create a 3 layer wreath:
    • Attach the Merry Merlot twig wreath atop one of the gold leaf wreaths taking note to offset the twigs with the leaves. TIP: use small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the circle line of the wreath to adhere the wreath.
    • Next, add the adhesive to the back of the remaining gold leaf wreath and layer it atop the Merry Merlot wreath.  AGAIN – offset the placement so the leaves aren’t lined up with one another.
    • Add Mini Stampin’ Dimensions to the back of the wreath and add to the top portion of the card base.
  • Attach leaves to the poinsettia flowers using glue dots. Arrange flowers and add to the wreath with glue dots.
  • Finish the flowers by adding Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots to the center of each flower.
  • Use the Detailed Trio Punch to punch the design on each end of the Merry Merlot cardstock for the sentiment label.
  • Next, stamp “Merry Christmas” using Merry Merlot onto a strip of Very Vanilla. Then, attach to the Merry Merlot strip and add to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

If you want to create a special card, look at the Arrange A Wreath bundle for lots of possibilities.  I’ve been cutting additional wreaths to use for creating more Merry Christmas cards.  So when the time arrives to start mailing my holiday cards, I can quickly assemble.  And best of all, using the beautiful Gold Cards and Envelopes saves lots of time!
