Oct 14, 2020 | 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, Arrange A Wreath, Bundles, Cards, Christmas, Holiday, Stampin' Up!, Uncategorized |
Have you started making your holiday cards? If not, you’ll want to consider the Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas card I’m sharing. It’s one of the holiday card designs that I’ll be using as Christmas approaches. The design is an Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas card and is from my Guest Stamper presentation for the Luv 2 Stamp team. In previous posts, I provided you with other ideas for using this versatile stamp set and die bundle. The Arrange A Wreath Merry Christmas card is one of my favorite projects using the bundle. The Merry Merlot and Brushed Metallic cardstocks along with the Gold Cards & Envelopes create an elegant card.

Card Details:
- With Arrange A Wreath dies, cut 2 leaf dies from the gold Brushed Metallic cardstock and one twig die from the Merry Merlot cardstock.
- Using the largest flower die (6 petal flower); cut 6 flowers from the Merry Merlot cardstock.
- Spritz the Merry Merlot flowers and twig wreath with the Champagne Mist. (Does not show in photo but the spritzing adds a special glimmer touch!) After drying, layer two of the flowers together using a glue dot to hold the layers (creating 3 poinsettia flowers).
- Next, stamp 5 leaves using Old Olive Classic Ink Pad onto Old Olive cardstock and cut with the coordinating die.
Create a 3 layer wreath:
- Attach the Merry Merlot twig wreath atop one of the gold leaf wreaths taking note to offset the twigs with the leaves. TIP: use small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the circle line of the wreath to adhere the wreath.
- Next, add the adhesive to the back of the remaining gold leaf wreath and layer it atop the Merry Merlot wreath. AGAIN – offset the placement so the leaves aren’t lined up with one another.
- Add Mini Stampin’ Dimensions to the back of the wreath and add to the top portion of the card base.
- Attach leaves to the poinsettia flowers using glue dots. Arrange flowers and add to the wreath with glue dots.
- Finish the flowers by adding Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots to the center of each flower.
- Use the Detailed Trio Punch to punch the design on each end of the Merry Merlot cardstock for the sentiment label.
- Next, stamp “Merry Christmas” using Merry Merlot onto a strip of Very Vanilla. Then, attach to the Merry Merlot strip and add to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
If you want to create a special card, look at the Arrange A Wreath bundle for lots of possibilities. I’ve been cutting additional wreaths to use for creating more Merry Christmas cards. So when the time arrives to start mailing my holiday cards, I can quickly assemble. And best of all, using the beautiful Gold Cards and Envelopes saves lots of time!

Sep 25, 2020 | August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Fun Folds, Holiday, Magic In This Night |
In my last post, the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper was being highlighted on a non-Halloween card. Today, it is front and center again on two Halloween Z-fold cards. One of the cards features spiders and the other features bats. Even with creepy crawlies and things that fly in the night, the cards aren’t too spooky! Since the cards are part of the September To-Go Kit featuring the stamp set, A Wish For Everything, the front sentiment and inside greeting fit perfectly on the Z-Fold cards.

Notice the little spiders? They are cut using the Little Treat Box dies. The spiders are the perfect size for this project.

What fun with the bats! The bats are cut from a piece of the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper. The Halloween Magic Dies coordinate with designer series paper to cut the bats. Plus there’s a die with the three small flying bats that add the perfect touch to the back panel.
Materials:
- Card base: Cajun Craze or Black Berry Bliss cardstock: 4-1/4” x 11”, score on 11” side at 2-3/4” & 5-1/2”
- Z-Fold layer – Basic Black Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 9-3/4”, score at 2-3/4” & 5-1/2”
- Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper
- Panels for card base: 4” x 5-1/4”; 2 pcs – 4” x 2-1/2”
- Panels for inside z-fold: 4” x 3”, 2-1/2” x 3”
- Whisper White cardstock panel: 2-1/2” x 3” and 2-1/4” square scrap piece for sentiment
- Stamp Set: A Wish For Everything
- Ink: Cajun Craze Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Dies: Halloween Magic, Little Treat Box and Stitched Shapes
- Embellishments: bats cut from the Designer Series Paper & the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins or the spiders (die cut using the Little Treat Box dies), Basic Rhinestone Jewels & 1-1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon
Assembly Directions:
- First, fold and burnish the score lines on both cards. For the base panel, the small fold is the card front. The card folds into a “z”.
- Add the Magic In This Night designer series paper panels to the card base and to the Basic Black cardstock z-fold layer.
- Using a strong adhesive, attach the z-fold layer to the card base. Note: the large side panel of the z-fold layer is added to the 2-3/4” front panel of the base.
- Next, stamp the inside sentiment with Cajun Craze Classic Stampin’ Pad onto the Whisper White panel. Then, attach to the last panel of the z-fold.
- For the front sentiment, stamp Happy Halloween onto a 2-1/2” square of Whisper White cardstock. For the circle shape, use the Stitched Shapes Die. If adding sentiment to the spider card, add the metallic mesh ribbon beneath the sentiment. (As an added touch on the spider sentiment, stamp the webs from the Banner Year Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink)
- Refer to photos for each card for placement of spiders and bats. Embellish with adhesive-backed sequins on the bat card and rhinestones on the spider card.

Sep 23, 2020 | 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, Cards, Designer Series Paper, Holiday, Magic In This Night, Simple Stamping, Uncategorized |
When designing cards for the recent To-Go class, the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper was front and center on two card designs. It is not just for Halloween but can be used for various occasions. For the card in class, it is featured on a Thanksgiving Wishes card. While several of the designs in the designer series paper are Halloween themed, most are generic designs. On today’s card, the Pretty Peacock design offers a beautiful background. It coordinates wonderfully with silver foil texture embossed elements.

Materials:
- Pretty Peacock card base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, score at 4-1/4”; 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” for leaf
- Whisper White: 4” x 5-1/4” (for Layer 1); 1-1/4” x 2-1/4” (for sentiment)
- Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper: 5” x 3-3/4”
- Silver Foil Sheets: 3-1/2” x 2-1/2”
- Stamp Set
- A Wish for Everything Stamp Set
- Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Dies:
- Gathered Leaves
- Stitched Shapes
• Embellishment: 1-1/2” Metallic Mesh Ribbon (approx. 8”)
• Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Dimensionals & Glue Dots
To assemble the card, attach the Whisper White cardstock and the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper to the card base using Stampin’ Seal. With the small, veined leaves dies from the Gathered Leaves Dies, cut two leaves from the Silver Foil Sheet and one leaf from the Pretty Peacock scrap. Next, stamp the sentiment onto the Whisper White using Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad and add to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then, add the cut embossed leaves to the label and card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots to adhere. Complete the card by adding a Metallic Mesh Ribbon bow to card.
Be sure to look at both sides of your Designer Series Papers when designing cards. Often, themed papers offer prints that are appropriate to use for other occasions. Remember, Magic in This Night is not just for Halloween!

Aug 27, 2020 | August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, Cards, Christmas, Designer Series Paper, Heartwarming Hugs, Holiday, Punches, Rectangular Postage Stamp, Uncategorized |
Yes, we still have a few months to go before Christmas arrives but it’s never to early to start planning! Today, I’m sharing a Patchwork Christmas card. Using the Rectangular Postage Stamp punch, a variety of coordinating papers from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper are cut. The Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper has many patterns in traditional Christmas colors so it’s perfect for creating a patchwork card. The sentiment for the card is chosen from the Tag Buffet Photopolymer Stamp Set.

Card Materials & Details:
- Card base: Real Red cardstock
- Layer 1: Mossy Meadow cardstock (5-1/4″ x 4″)
- Punch eight (8) coordinating pieces of the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper using the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.
- Randomly arrange the postage stamp pieces onto the Mossy Meadow cardstock layer allowing some to overlap the edges. After adhering in place, trim the edges of the
postage stamps that overlap. NOTE: When arranging the pieces, you will have an open space in the card center – it will be covered by the sentiment label. Also, pay attention and only add adhesive to the portion of the stamp that will be on the Mossy Meadow layer (ask me why?! LOL) - Use strong adhesive and attach the postage stamp layer to the card base.
- Stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock using Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin’ Pad. Cut shape using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.
- With Stampin’ Seal, attach the sentiment piece to a Real Red label cut using the next larger size Stitched Nested Labels Dies.
- Attach the label to the card front covering the open space area in the card center. To add lift, attach using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Embellish around the sentiment with red rhinestone jewels.
The Patchwork Christmas Card design is great to use if you’re making multiple cards. Select your favorite coordinating Designer Series Papers and start punching! By varying the placement and paper patterns of the postage shapes, you can create cards that differ slightly. Yet, you’re using the same materials for all of the cards. Select your favorite holiday sentiments to add even more variety. The full list of items used for today’s card is listed at the bottom of the post.

Nov 6, 2019 | 2019 Holiday Catalog, Brightly Gleaming Product Suite, Cards, Christmas, Holiday, Quick & Easy, Simple Stamping |
Have you noticed that I am now in full on Christmas mode?! The past couple of weeks, I have been enjoying creating a variety of Christmas themed cards and projects. Don’t worry though, I still have some Fall theme projects to share with you before the full force of Christmas arrives after Thanksgiving. Today’s post, Brightly Gleaming Merry Christmas, is another make ‘n take card from Stamping Bingo. The card elements include the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Christmas Gleaming Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog. The elements from the Brightly Gleaming Suite are elegant and gorgeous. It is easy to create simple but beautiful projects with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and accompanying embellishments. That’s the case with the Brightly Gleaming Merry Christmas Card.

Card Details:
- For the card base, cut Pretty Peacock cardstock at 4-1-4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold on score line.
- The second layer is Very Vanilla cardstock, cut 4″ x 5-1/4″. To add texture, emboss with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Attach to the card base with adhesive.
- Cut a 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of the stripe design from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. Using a strong adhesive, attach to the center of the Very Vanilla cardstock layer.
- Then use the ornament punch to cut an ornament shape from a coordinating piece of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. Attach to a stitched oval cut from Very Vanilla cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Layer onto a Pretty Peacock cardstock scallop oval cut using the Layering Ovals Dies. Center onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- For the sentiment, stamp the Merry Christmas from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad. Using paper snips, cut the around the perimeter of the sentiment. Refer to card photo for placement onto the card.
- To finish the card, embellish with the sprigs from the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements. For the final embellishment, add a bow using the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon.
Also, don’t forget to embellish the card interior…

Hope you enjoyed this project. Thanks for stopping by and check back soon for more inspiration. Happy crafting…

Nov 4, 2019 | 2019 Holiday Catalog, Cards, Christmas, Holiday |
Happy Monday. Hope your week is off to a good beginning. Today I’m sharing the make ‘n take, A Snowman Merry Christmas, from the recent Stamping Bingo. The Snowman Season Bundle along with the coordinating Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper pair beautifully to create the card. The Snowman Season Bundle contains the Snowman Season Stamp Set and the coordinating Snowman Builder Punch. Do you notice the sparkle of the snowman on the card? It’s actually cut from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. I just love it when designer series paper contains images that coordinate with a punch or die.

Steps for recreating the Snowman Merry Christmas card:
- Start with a standard card base of Coastal Cabana cardstock.
- Cut a 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of the striped paper from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper.
- With the snowflake stamp from the Snowman Season Stamp Set, randomly stamp snowflakes on the Designer Series Paper using Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Pad. Then, layer onto a 5-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock.
- Next, wrap a piece of Real Red 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon around lower portion of card and tie a knot.
- Attach to the Coastal Cabana card base with adhesive.
- With the Snowman Builder Punch, cut the glitter snowman from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. Notice also that one of the Designer Series Papers has the hat that matches with the punch. Also, punch the hat. Use a scrap of Basic Black cardstock to cut the snowman arms. Assemble the snowman using glue dots and attach to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Cut the sentiment and the Coastal Cabana scalloped oval using the Layering Ovals Dies. Adhere the sentiment to the scalloped oval and attach to the card front over the Real Red ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
See how easy it is to make a card with coordinating stamps, punches and paper! Hope you will give it a try. The Snowman Season Bundle and coordinating Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper is great for Christmas. But don’t stop using it at Christmas! It’s also great for Winter Themed cards and crafts.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting…
