Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully you survived Halloween. It was a quiet evening at our house. Our neighborhood doesn’t have trick or treaters so I got cozy and enjoyed a Hallmark Christmas movie. Now, I’m definitely in the mood for Christmas! In my last post, you were able to see components of the new Christmastime Is Here Product Suite. Today my project, a beautiful Christmas Rose, uses products from the suite. The beautiful Christmas Rose is cut from the Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper. Best of all, no fussy cutting required as the Roses Dies match the large rose in the designer series paper. This simple card design is to highlight the Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper and show that you can create “wow” looking cards using just the paper, a stamped sentiment and a couple embellishments.
The Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper is gorgeous with gold foil accents. Be sure to place your order for your favorite products from the Christmastime Is Here product suite soon. You’ll want to use the products not just for Christmas but year round. To order this exclusive, limited-time suite, visit my store to select your products. If you prefer, email me if you need assistance placing your order. Just a reminder, don’t delay. This is only available while supplies last.
Have a great weekend! Check back on Monday for another project idea. Until then, happy crafting…

At last month’s Shoebox Swap, I was able to make this beautiful Free Skate card. The purpose of the swap was for demonstrators to make and share projects from the Holiday Catalog. We each brought all the precut materials to use for stamping and assembling our design. This allowed us to create a variety of cards in just a couple of hours . Today’s card uses the Free Skate Bundle. The bundle includes the Free Skate Cling Stamp Set and the Detailed Skate Dies. The card also showcases the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. I would like to thank the card designer, Jamie Lavender, for the beautiful layout and product selection. Isn’t it gorgeous?
Card Details:
Card base is Pretty Peacock (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″).
For the next layer, cut a piece of Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Attach to the card base using Snail Adhesive.
Use the Detailed Skate Dies to cut the skate. The skate base and ties are cut from Pretty Peacock cardstock. The lacy pattern on the skate uses Whisper White cardstock and the skate blades are Gold Foil paper. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or the Fine Tip Glue Pen to attach the layers to the skate base.
Stamp the sentiment using Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a 3-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Holly. Color the holly leaves with the Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends.
Cut the sentiment piece using the Stitched Labels Dies and attach to the card base with Snail Adhesive.
Add Red Rhinestones to the berries on the holly.
Finish the card by adding the skate to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Reminder: You can place your order by clicking on the items under Project Materials. During the month of September & October, for every $50 order (before shipping & taxes), you’ll receive a Thank You gift of the Shimmery Crystal Effects from me. Thank you for your support and I appreciate your business.

Today, I am showcasing one of the cards from the Holiday Catalog Shoebox swap from a couple of weeks ago. The Gather Together bundle and other products from the Come to Gather Suite create a Fall themed card. Yes, the calendar says Fall is right around the corner but the weather here in Georgia is hanging on to Summer! Temperatures are forecast to reach near 100 this weekend! I hope that you’re having more moderate weather. Now back to the card. Notice the Cajun Craze leaves? The dies cut and emboss! I share a tip below on using the dies. The Gather Together card is a simple card that is perfect to send to family and friends.
Unfortunately, I do not have the name of the person that created the card design. We were all busy moving from station to station and neglected to gather names of each person with their creation! Lesson learned! We’ll put our names on our creations.
Card Materials:
Base: Early Espresso cardstock (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ for side fold card base)
Very Vanilla cardstock: 3″ x 3″ for large leaf, 4″ x 5-1/4″ for interior, 2″ x 1″ for sentiment on front of card
Cajun Craze cardstock: 2-1/2″ x 3″ for cut & embossed leaves
Come to Gather Designer Series Paper: 2″ x 5-1/4″
Classic Ink Pads: Cajun Craze & Pretty Peacock
Cajun Craze Linen Thread from the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack
Details:
To create card base, fold the Early Espresso on the score line.
Adhere the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper to the left side of the Early Espresso card base using Snail Adhesive.
Stamp the large maple leaf using Cajun Craze onto the 3″ square of Very Vanilla cardstock. Cut using the coordinating die.
Use the three embossed leaf dies to cut and emboss leaves from the strip of Cajun Craze cardstock. TIP: spritz the paper lightly with water before using your die cutter – this helps the dies break the fibers in the paper, which gives a deeper embossed impression. Plus the edges of the leaves curl slightly, just like a real leaf.
With the strip of Very Vanilla, stamp the sentiment with Pretty Peacock. Trim to create the flag tail.
Using snail adhesive, attach the three Cajun Craze leaves to the card (refer to photo for placement).
Add the large stamped leaf with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using adhesive, attach the sentiment to the lower portion of the card.
With three strands of the Cajun Craze linen thread, tie a bow. Attach to the card front above the sentiment using a mini glue dot.
See how simple it is to create a beautiful Fall card. The embossed leaves dies add lots of dimension to projects with leaves. Be sure to get the Gather Together Bundle – you’ll find that it’s great for more than just Fall themed projects.
When ready, you can place your order here. In the month of September, for every $50 order (before shipping & taxes), you’ll receive a Thank You gift of the Shimmery Crystal Effects from me. Thank you for your support and I appreciate your business.

Woohoo! On Wednesday, September 4th, you can order from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog! So, today I’m sharing a card made with products from my demonstrator preorder. I had lots of fun creating with #Eflie (item #150509). Last weekend, I participated in a Holiday Shoe Box Swap and selected #Elfie to use for my swap. The elves in the set are full of whimsy. If you like to color, you’ll enjoy using your favorite coloring method for the images. Believe me when I say, you’ll have fun creating with #Elfie! For my swap, watercolor pencils and a blender pen were the coloring tools. The images coordinate perfectly with other new products in the Holiday Catalog. Additional products include the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint, the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter. Plus, see the presents around the frame? They can be found in the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley (this is a fantastic product offering!).
Card details:
Create a card base using an 11″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Pool Party cardstock. Score and fold at 5-1/2″ to create a top fold card. Next, cut a piece of the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) to cover the card front (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″). TIP: if the DSP you select has a directional pattern, double check it’s position before cutting. Attach the DSP to the card front.
Use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a Pool Party cardstock frame.
Stamp the elf using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a 4-5/8″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color with the following watercolor pencils: Garden Green , Cherry Cobbler Red, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso (hair) and Flirty Flamingo (for the face). Use the blender pens to smooth the watercolor pencil colors. TIP: For the face, I touched the end of the blender pen to the Flirty Flamingo to pick up a small amount of color instead of directly coloring the face with the watercolor pencil. This ensured that just a small amount of color was added.
With the tip of a blender pen, pick up Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink to color the ball on the striped pole and the bell on the elf hat.
To create a “fur look” on the brim of the elf hat, add a small amount of the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and watch it “puff” when drying with the heat tool.
Lightly sponge Pool Party Ink around the elf and to stamp the snowflakes from the #Elfie stamp set.
Add a snowy glimmer to the sign by adding Shimmery Crystal Effects and sprinkling with a small amount of Ice Stampin’ Glitter.
Attach the frame to the elf panel using Foam Adhesive Strips. Then, attach to the card front using adhesive.
Final Touches:
Stamp two sets of the presents from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley using Real Red and Crushed Curry Classic Stampin’ Pads onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Cut using the coordinating dies.
The sentiment is stamped onto Whisper White cardstock using the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and cut using the Classic Label Punch.
Arrange the presents and sentiment around the frame attaching with mini glue dots and mini stampin’ dimensionals.
The Holiday Shoe Box Swap was a fun event! It allowed demonstrators to share project ideas using products from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. So, I’ll be sharing the projects with you soon.
Be sure to complete your shopping list from the Holiday Catalog and include the products shown in today’s post. When ready, you can place your order here starting on September 4th. I appreciate your support and for every $50 order (before shipping & taxes), you’ll receive a Thank You gift of the Shimmery Crystal Effects from me .
