In the new July-December Mini Catalog, the Whimsy & Wonder Suite features the Whimsical Trees Bundle. For even more whimsical cheer, the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper offers designs in non-traditional holiday colors. Today’s Whimsical Trees card combines the bundle and the designer series paper in a fun holiday card. Even though the Polished Pink and Mint Macaroon aren’t a typical holiday color scheme, the colors combine with the Evening Evergreen to create a merry card.
Whimsical Trees Card Details:
Card Base: Basic White Thick 4-1/4″ x 11″, score & fold at 5-1/2″
Mint Macaroon Layer: 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper Layer: 5-1/4″ x 4″. Attach to the Mint Macaroon layer & then to the card base using a strong adhesive.
Stamp the medium tree using Mint Macaroon Classic Ink Pad onto a piece of Mint Macaroon cardstock. Next, cut using the coordinating die from the Christmas Trees Dies.
Use the large, thin tree die to cut the tree from Polished Pink cardstock. Use the garland die to cut a piece of the Silver Specialty Foil. Layer the garland onto the tree and adhere with multipurpose liquid adhesive (or add Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Silver Foil prior to die cutting).
With the open tree die, cut tree shape from Evening Evergreen cardstock.
Referring to card photo for placement, position & layer the trees on the card base. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the Polished Pink tree.
From scraps of Silver Foil Specialty Paper, cut ornaments and stars with the dies. Embellish the two smaller trees with the ornaments and stars.
Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Polished Pink Classic Ink Pad. Cut using the Double Oval Punch.
With the scallop oval from the Double Oval Punch, cut a scrap of Mint Macaroon cardstock. Adhere the sentiment oval to the scallop oval. Attach to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete the card front by adding a bow tied with the silver cord from the Simply Elegant Trim pack.
It was fun to step “outside the box” and use non-traditional colors for a Christmas card. While traditional colors can be used with the Whimsical Trees Bundle, I’ll being using the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper for more holiday themed projects.

For the final Christmas in July project, I have chosen to create an Art in Bloom holiday card. The Art in Bloom Bundle is in the 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. The Art in Bloom Bundle includes the Art in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder. Be sure to watch the assembly video below to see how to use Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder. While the bundle isn’t a holiday design, by using traditional holiday colors of red & green the Art in Bloom Bundle easily transitions to a holiday card. Additionally, using the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (a returning favorite in the Mini Catalog!) and adding a holiday sentiment completes the card’s theme.

Today’s Christmas in July project offers a sneak peek of the Christmas to Remember Bundle from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. You’ll be able to order products from the Mini Catalog starting August 3, 2021. (Yes, catalog date is July but due to product and global shipping delays, launch had to be delayed.) The Christmas to Remember bundle is just one of the offerings in the Painted Christmas Suite. This was one of the first bundles on my preorder list. Today, I am excited to kick-off my Christmas in July event by highlighting elements from the Tidings of Christmas product suite. Though we are still in the heat of summer, it’s not to early to start thinking about Christmas. I will be posting holiday themed projects each Wednesday and Friday in July. And if you enjoy Hallmark Channel holiday movies, the channel starts their Christmas in July movies this upcoming weekend. I can’t wait!!! Yes, the movies are predictable but fun to watch. What better way to spend a hot, muggy day than to stay indoors, get cozy and watch Christmas-winter themed movies?! Now to stop digressing and get back to the card featured today. (LOL)
For this first Christmas in July project, the Tidings and Trimmings Bundle and the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper blend to create a traditional Christmas card. ensure all of wreath is stamped). Heat emboss the wreath with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Allow to cool. After cooling, sponge the Basic White paper with Bermuda Bay ink, layering the ink around the wreath. Add to the card.
Stamp three sets of leaves (Granny Apple Green on Granny Apple Green CS) and a set of eggs (Bermuda Bay onto Basic White cardstock). Cut with the coordinating Dies.
Cut an additional three eggs from the Rainbow Glimmer CS.
With the medium size flower die, cut two of flowers from Daffodil Delight CS and cut two of the small flowers from Basic White CS. Layer the white flower onto the yellow flower. Add a small rhinestone jewel to the center of the flowers. (opt -color the rhinestones with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker before adding to the flowers).
Cut the Vellum CS using the “twig” wreath die.
Add eggs along the bottom of the wreath with glue dots. Layer leaves and flowers around the eggs. Cut “twig” strips from the vellum wreath and tuck around the flowers and eggs.
Stamp the sentiment onto Basic White CS and cut using the Layering Ovals Dies.
Cut a scalloped oval from the Bermuda Bay CS and add the sentiment layer. Attach to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete the card by adding a double loop bow to the top of the wreath.
