It’s September first and time to start thinking of the arrival of Fall later this month. And what celebration comes in Fall? Halloween, of course! In this post, Cute Halloween meets Pretty Pillow Box Dies. Quick, easy treat holders are made using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies and the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. The holders are perfect for adding several pieces of small individually wrapped candies. To embellish the treat boxes, the Cutest Halloween Bundle continues the theme and adds the finishing touch to each treat holder.
Details and tips for assembling:
Cut a 4-1/2″ x 6″ piece of the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper using the Pretty Pillow Box Die.
Fold and burnish the score lines on the box.
If desired, cut notches with either the edge of a circle punch (I used a retired 1/2″ punch and inserted it along edge of back flaps – see photo) or use a small circle punch to cut notch – just place the die on 1/2 of the paper.
Next, fold the box flat and seal the scallop flap to the front.
Next open the pillow box, fill with treats and close the side flaps.
To embellish the treat boxes:
Use the Halloween Punch from the Cutest Halloween Bundle to cut images from the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. TIP: cut around one of the images from the patterned paper, then use a post-it note strip to hold onto the paper while putting into punch to cut the shape. Great way to eliminate wasting paper!
Next, stamp the sentiment onto a strip of 1/2″ Basic White cardstock & cut flag end using the Banners Pick A Punch. Then, layer the stamped sentiment onto a banner cut from a 3/4″ strip of Highland Heather cardstock. Attach to the top of the pillow box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete by adding the image punched from the designer series paper.

Today I’m back with another of the Nature’s Harvest Bundle August Class cards. I’m calling this the “never forget” card since the wording is from the sentiment. Just like the “good luck” card, this card is simple but beautiful. You’ll notice the die cut stalk (sheath of wheat or grass?) cut from the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper. This paper is one of the FREE items available in the current Sale-a-Bration brochure. It’s a gorgeous paper and adds elegance to the card front. For the August card class, the Nature’s Harvest bundle is the feature. For each class, four projects are made and the Nature’s Harvest Good Luck card is one of the cards. This is a simple stamping card and proves simple can also be elegant. The Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper provides a beautiful background for the flowers die cut from the Cork Specialty Paper. It’s another Christmas in July project! Today’s project features a gift tag using the Tidings & Trimmings Bundle in the Annual Catalog. You’ll notice it’s a large gift tag. This allows you to use the tag on a variety of packages from a small package such as the Ombre Bags to much larger packages. For the tag base, use the Scalloped Contours Dies. This is another of those quick projects. If you’re like me, there’s always some last minute packaging needing tags. So let’s get prepared and make some of these tags to have handy when the need arises. As with my other Christmas in July projects, the materials and assembly video are located below.

While there are lots of beautiful stamp bundles in the Stampin’ Up! catalogs, there is one “must have” stamp bundle. You may wonder why I say it’s a “must have”. The reason – it’s all sentiments! I can’t count the number of times that I have created a card to spend what seems like hours searching for a sentiment. With the Many Messages bundle there are 19 (yes, 19!) sentiments for different occasions. Even better, the sentiments are one large cling stamp so you can stamp all the sentiments at once. The coordinating die makes it even simpler. There are a variety of shapes that line up to perfectly cut the sentiments. So, you’re able to stamp all the phrases at once, then cut them out with the coordinating die. Can’t get much easier than that! Below are a few tips for using the bundle.
Tips for using the Many Messages stamp and the coordinating die:
Use a Stamparatus for ease in re-inking and re-stamping the large stamp. This way you ensure re-stamping in the same location.
Notice, the small stars and heart on the die and the stamp set. These are the registration marks for using to ensure the die lines properly. Align the die with the registration marks and you get perfectly cut sentiments each time.
Use removable tape to hold the die in place before running through your die cutting machine.
Stamp using a variety of your favorite ink colors to have sentiments handy when you need to make a card quickly. (FYI…I store the cut sentiments in the clear envelope bags.)
In the photo below, Stampin’ Up! showcases several ways to use the sentiments. Stamp a background using the same ink color as cardstock, then add a few extra details and select the desired sentiment from the group to add to the card front. Or, group several sentiments to create a sentiment phrase. Lastly, use a single sentiment to complete your card.

Looking for a fun, whimsical bundle?! Look no more – the Snailed It Suite provides lots of playful, whimsical fun. Today’s Happy Mail card uses the Snailed It Bundle. The bundle includes the Snailed It Stamp Set and coordinating Snail Dies. And using with the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper makes it easy to create a bright, cheerful card. Best of all, the Snail Dies coordinate with some of the images in the designer series paper. See the snail on the Happy Mail card? It’s cut from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper with a coordinating die. Easy -peasy! Stamp the envelope with Happy Mail enclosed and the card is set to mail. This card definitely is #simple stamping!
Details:
Create the card base using Daffodil Delight cardstock (8-1/2″ x 11″, score and fold at 4-1/4″). Attach a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of the Bermuda Bay designer series paper from the Snail Mail DSP pack onto the card base. Cut a 1″ x 4″ strip of the mini hearts designer series paper and attach to the card – referring to photo for placement. Using the Snail Dies, cut the following: a large snail from the designer series paper; one large and two small mushrooms from a scrap of Real Red cardstock, the inside note from a scrap of Basic White cardstock and the envelope from a 3″ x 3″ square of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
Stamp “hello” onto the Basic White note using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink Pad and embellish with the Resin Hearts. Fold the envelope flaps leaving the top flap open. Glue Dots hold the flaps closed. Slide the note into the envelope, attach with glue dots to secure and use Stampin’ Seal+ to add to the card front. Finish the card by adding mushrooms to the card front and layering the large snail using Stampin’ Dimensionals. And don’t forget – stamp Happy Mail enclosed onto the envelope using Real Red Classic Ink Pad.
Youngsters and young at heart will enjoy receiving Happy Mail!
