Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder

In one of the Christmas in July posts, the Art in Bloom Bundle was the feature set.  Today, I’m featuring the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder from the bundle. A simple stamping but elegant card can be created by using the embossing folder to add texture.  The Fresh Freesia In Color Shimmer Vellum features the texture embossing and creates a beautiful card.  With a few embellishments and a sentiment, it’s a quick and easy card too.

Bloom Embossing

Card Details:
  • Create a card base using Thick Basic White cardstock. (4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold)
  • Texture a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Fresh Freesia In Color Shimmer Vellum with the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Attach to card front using Stampin’ Seal along the edge of the vellum.
  • Stamp the hello sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pad. Use the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut a sentiment tag.
  • Embellish the tag using the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and add the tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Complete the card front by adding a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

See, it doesn’t get much simpler!

Sneak Peek: Christmas to Remember

Today’s Christmas in July project offers a sneak peek of the Christmas to Remember Bundle from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.  You’ll be able to order products from the Mini Catalog starting August 3, 2021. (Yes, catalog date is July but due to product and global shipping delays, launch had to be delayed.) The Christmas to Remember bundle is just one of the offerings in the Painted Christmas Suite. This was one of the first bundles on my preorder list. With the array of holiday greetings in the stamp set, I have plenty of greetings for holiday cards.  When combined with the coordinating Christmas Pinecone Dies as a background, beautiful holiday cards are easy to create. For my project, the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper creates the background for layering the die cuts.

Christmas in July 2021-Snowman Season Gift Tags

Keeping with this week’s gift tag theme for Christmas in July, I am featuring Snowman Gift Tags.  A recent purchase of snowman notepads became the inspiration for the snowman gift tags.  Since I’ll be “giving a little something” to folks throughout the holiday season, it’s only appropriate to make the presentation special. Right?!  Even better, the notepads fit perfectly into the Ombre Gift Bags. And with coordinating snowman gift tags, the “little something” is ready to present later this year.  The Snowman Season Stamp Set and the Tailor Made Tags Dies in the 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog are perfect for making the gift tags.  Best of all, the tags are quick and easy to make!

Sweet As A Peach Gift Tag

As mentioned in my last post, I am enjoying using the Sweet As A Peach bundle.  In addition to last week’s card and others to share, I have a quick and easy gift tag featuring the Sweet As A Peach Bundle.  Not only does it feature the stamp set, it also highlights the beautiful You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper and the Tailor Made Tags Dies.  Trust me, you’re going to want to add the tags dies to your “must have” list!  The dies include two tag shapes in three sizes so you’ll have the ability to make tags for a variety of package sizes.

Gift Tag

Creating the Sweet As A Peach Gift Tag:
  • Using one of the largest tag dies from the Tailor Made Tags Dies, cut one tag from Pale Papaya cardstock.  Cut another tag from the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper.  Align the tag tops and overlap the designer series paper tag. Adhere the tags together using a glue dot to hold the designer series paper in place.
  • On a scrap of Basic White cardstock, stamp the sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set using Pale Papaya Classic Ink Pad.  After stamping, cut shape using the Tasteful Labels Dies (or a die shape of your choice).
  • Embellish the sentiment by stamping the small leaves (from the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set) using Pear Pizzazz.  Color Basic Rhinestone Jewels with Dark Calypso Coral Blends and add to the leaves.
  • Add the sentiment to the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You can use the gift tag on a variety of packages.  As you see in the photo, a 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ acetate card box is filled with treats.  Pale Papaya & White Ribbon is wrapped around the box and before tying the bow, a strip of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and a strip of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon are added.  The Sweet As A Peach gift tag is inserted under the bow and attached to the box with glue dots.

Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing more “peach themed” projects.

The “Must Have” Stamp Bundle

While there are lots of beautiful stamp bundles in the Stampin’ Up! catalogs, there is one “must have” stamp bundle.  You may wonder why I say it’s a “must have”. The reason – it’s all sentiments!  I can’t count the number of times that I have created a card to spend what seems like hours searching for a sentiment.  With the Many Messages bundle there are 19 (yes, 19!) sentiments for different occasions.  Even better, the sentiments are one large cling stamp so you can stamp all the sentiments at once.  The coordinating die makes it even simpler. There are a variety of shapes that line up to perfectly cut the sentiments.   So, you’re able to stamp all the phrases at once, then cut them out with the coordinating die.  Can’t get much easier than that! Below are a few tips for using the bundle.

Tips for using the Many Messages stamp and the coordinating die:

  • Use a Stamparatus for ease in re-inking and re-stamping the large stamp.  This way you ensure re-stamping in the same location.
  • Notice, the small stars and heart on the die and the stamp set.  These are the registration marks for using to ensure the die lines properly.  Align the die with the registration marks and you get perfectly cut sentiments each time.
  • Use removable tape to hold the die in place before running through your die cutting machine.
  • Stamp using a variety of your favorite ink colors to have sentiments handy when you need to make a card quickly. (FYI…I store the cut sentiments in the clear envelope bags.)

In the photo below, Stampin’ Up! showcases several ways to use the sentiments.  Stamp a background using the same ink color as cardstock, then add a few extra details and select the desired sentiment from the group to add to the card front.  Or, group several sentiments to create a sentiment phrase.  Lastly, use a single sentiment to complete your card.

Many Messages Samples

In my next post, I’ll be sharing more cards using the “must have” stamp bundle!  Be sure to register to receive new posts each week.
