Halloween will soon be here so I am busy creating a variety of treat and gift holders to have ready next month. This week, I’m highlighting the Tombstone Treat Boxes and guess what, they meet Pretty Pumpkins (LOL)! These treat boxes are simple to assemble and a good size for adding treats. Best of all, the Tombstone Treat Box will stand upright so it’s a great Halloween table favor.

Recently while shopping at T.J. Maxx, I found Halloween themed fingernail files and wouldn’t you know, the nail files coordinate with several Stampin’ Up! products. So of course, I “had” to purchase them! And naturally added to my project agenda was creating Halloween themed fingernail file holders for gifting to friends. I settled upon one of my favorite wraps to use for holding the fingernail files – an origami wrap. Often this design is maybe called chopstick wrap or pencil holder wrap so it’s quite versatile. As you’ll see in my video below, the Halloween themed fingernail file holders are easy to make and come together quickly.
Project Materials & Details:
Cutest Halloween Bundle
Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (refer to Assembly Video)
Score one 6″ x 6″ piece of designer series paper at 1-1/2″, 3″ and 4-1/2″. Burnish score lines with bone folder.
On the upper right corner, fold the corner in so that it meets the score 4-1/2″ line and use bone folder to crease.
Then on the upper left corner, fold this corner to the middle 3″ score line and crease the fold with the bone folder.
On the left lower corner, fold in to the 1-1/2″ score line and crease with bone folder.
Next, fold the right side in to the middle and wrap the left side around and attach at the back with strong adhesive.

If you prefer, you can also stamp images using the Cutest Halloween Stamp Set. But as you can see in the video, using the images from the designer series paper makes the project even quicker!

In addition to the Halloween themed fingernail files, I also purchased fall themed fingernail files. Wouldn’t you know, that Stampin’ Up! also has stamps and paper to coordinate with them!!! For the fall theme, the Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set provided a perfect finishing touch to the fingernail file holders.

Wow, it’s Wednesday, the day is coming to an end and I’m just now working on the post for today! The Labor Day weekend has thrown me off schedule (LOL). Today, I’m sharing the last of the August card class Nature’s Harvest cards. This card is sending healing thoughts. Notice the textured background? It’s created using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and included in the Harvest Meadow Suite. You’ll want to add this embossing folder to your “must have” list as it creates a beautiful textured backdrop. It’s September first and time to start thinking of the arrival of Fall later this month. And what celebration comes in Fall? Halloween, of course! In this post, Cute Halloween meets Pretty Pillow Box Dies. Quick, easy treat holders are made using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies and the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. The holders are perfect for adding several pieces of small individually wrapped candies. To embellish the treat boxes, the Cutest Halloween Bundle continues the theme and adds the finishing touch to each treat holder.
Details and tips for assembling:
Cut a 4-1/2″ x 6″ piece of the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper using the Pretty Pillow Box Die.
Fold and burnish the score lines on the box.
If desired, cut notches with either the edge of a circle punch (I used a retired 1/2″ punch and inserted it along edge of back flaps – see photo) or use a small circle punch to cut notch – just place the die on 1/2 of the paper.
Next, fold the box flat and seal the scallop flap to the front.
Next open the pillow box, fill with treats and close the side flaps.
To embellish the treat boxes:
Use the Halloween Punch from the Cutest Halloween Bundle to cut images from the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper. TIP: cut around one of the images from the patterned paper, then use a post-it note strip to hold onto the paper while putting into punch to cut the shape. Great way to eliminate wasting paper!
Next, stamp the sentiment onto a strip of 1/2″ Basic White cardstock & cut flag end using the Banners Pick A Punch. Then, layer the stamped sentiment onto a banner cut from a 3/4″ strip of Highland Heather cardstock. Attach to the top of the pillow box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete by adding the image punched from the designer series paper.

Today I’m back with another of the Nature’s Harvest Bundle August Class cards. I’m calling this the “never forget” card since the wording is from the sentiment. Just like the “good luck” card, this card is simple but beautiful. You’ll notice the die cut stalk (sheath of wheat or grass?) cut from the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper. This paper is one of the FREE items available in the current Sale-a-Bration brochure. It’s a gorgeous paper and adds elegance to the card front.
