For the August card class, the Nature’s Harvest bundle is the feature. For each class, four projects are made and the Nature’s Harvest Good Luck card is one of the cards. This is a simple stamping card and proves simple can also be elegant. The Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper provides a beautiful background for the flowers die cut from the Cork Specialty Paper. And of course, the Misty Moonlight color scheme is always a winner (in my opinion – LOL).
Nature’s Harvest Good Luck Card materials:
Nature’s Harvest Bundle
Misty Moonlight cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (score & fold at 4-1/4″ for base)
Basic White cardstock: 5″ x 3-3/4″ (front layer), scrap for sentiment
Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper: 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
Cork Specialty Paper 2-1/2″ x 4″ (approximate size for die cutting trio of flowers)

One of the hardest cards for me to create is a masculine birthday card. And of course, I have lots of males in my family! Fortunately, Stampin’ Up! is adding more and more stamp sets appropriate for creating male themed cards. One such is the Hats Off Bundle.
Last month, we celebrated my husband’s birthday and I knew the hat stamp with the coordinating die would be perfect to use. Though I could have gone in many directions with the hat, I settled upon creating a hat honoring his alma mater – LSU. The gold and purple colors were easy as the Gorgeous Grape and Bumblebee cardstocks combine perfectly to match LSU’s colors. For the emblem, I surfed the internet and scaled down the logo. The card was a success and my husband was surprised that I could create a hat honoring his favorite university. As for the birthday sentiment, the Biggest Wishes stamp set is one of my favorite “go to” stamps.
Project Materials:
Hats Off Bundle
Biggest Wish Stamp Set
Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
Card Base: Bumblebee Cardstock (5-1/2″ x 11″; score and fold at 4-1/4″)
Layer One: Gorgeous Grape Designer Series Paper (5-1/4″ x 4″). Comes from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Package.
Basic White cardstock: 5″ x 3-3/4″
Classic Stampin’ Pads: Gorgeous Grape & Bumblebee
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock: 4″ x 3″ to cut hat
Bumblebee Cardstock: 4″ x 3″ and scrap for hat medallion
Sponge Dauber
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesive (Stampin’ Seal+ or Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive)
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Tips:
Watch the video below on tips for stamping with the hat photopolymer stamp to achieve a perfectly cut hat. (note, the video is not for constructing the hat, just a tip for using the hat stamp & coordinating die)
Stamp the hat on the Gorgeous Grape & the Bumblebee cardstocks using the same color as the cardstock. Then cut each with the hat die. Cut the “bill” from the Bumblebee hat and attach to the Gorgeous Grape hat.
Stamp sentiments before texture embossing the Basic White layer.
Use sponge daubers to sponge around stitching and brim of hat with the coordinating colors.
Hope the stamping & die cutting tip useful for you! And, be sure to have fun creating hats for the favorite people in your life (male or female!)

If you’ve followed some of my previous post, you know I enjoy making special packaging for small gifts. One of my favorite small gifts to give is the pocket size Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizers. For the last Playtime with Paper team meeting, I created the Peachy Day Hand Sanitizer Holder for the B&B Works Peach Mango sanitizer. Isn’t it wonderful that Stampin’ Up! and B&B Works coordinates their themes?! (LOL) The original design for the holder is from Erica Cerwin (Pink Buckaroo Designs) and is one of my favorite designs for packaging hand sanitizers. It’s much simpler than other designs that I have used and is great for also showing the decorative sanitizer label. Thanks to Erica!
You’ll find project details and an assembly video below the project photo…
Materials for the Peachy Day Hand Sanitizer Holder:
Pale Papaya Cardstock: 3-3/4″ x 4-3/4″. Score on the long side at 1″ and 2″. Rotate and score on the short side at 1″ and 2-3/4″.

In the new July-December Mini Catalog, the Whimsy & Wonder Suite features the Whimsical Trees Bundle. For even more whimsical cheer, the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper offers designs in non-traditional holiday colors. Today’s Whimsical Trees card combines the bundle and the designer series paper in a fun holiday card. Even though the Polished Pink and Mint Macaroon aren’t a typical holiday color scheme, the colors combine with the Evening Evergreen to create a merry card.
Whimsical Trees Card Details:
Card Base: Basic White Thick 4-1/4″ x 11″, score & fold at 5-1/2″
Mint Macaroon Layer: 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper Layer: 5-1/4″ x 4″. Attach to the Mint Macaroon layer & then to the card base using a strong adhesive.
Stamp the medium tree using Mint Macaroon Classic Ink Pad onto a piece of Mint Macaroon cardstock. Next, cut using the coordinating die from the Christmas Trees Dies.
Use the large, thin tree die to cut the tree from Polished Pink cardstock. Use the garland die to cut a piece of the Silver Specialty Foil. Layer the garland onto the tree and adhere with multipurpose liquid adhesive (or add Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Silver Foil prior to die cutting).
With the open tree die, cut tree shape from Evening Evergreen cardstock.
Referring to card photo for placement, position & layer the trees on the card base. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the Polished Pink tree.
From scraps of Silver Foil Specialty Paper, cut ornaments and stars with the dies. Embellish the two smaller trees with the ornaments and stars.
Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Polished Pink Classic Ink Pad. Cut using the Double Oval Punch.
With the scallop oval from the Double Oval Punch, cut a scrap of Mint Macaroon cardstock. Adhere the sentiment oval to the scallop oval. Attach to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete the card front by adding a bow tied with the silver cord from the Simply Elegant Trim pack.
It was fun to step “outside the box” and use non-traditional colors for a Christmas card. While traditional colors can be used with the Whimsical Trees Bundle, I’ll being using the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper for more holiday themed projects.

For the final Christmas in July project, I have chosen to create an Art in Bloom holiday card. The Art in Bloom Bundle is in the 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. The Art in Bloom Bundle includes the Art in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder. Be sure to watch the assembly video below to see how to use Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder. While the bundle isn’t a holiday design, by using traditional holiday colors of red & green the Art in Bloom Bundle easily transitions to a holiday card. Additionally, using the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (a returning favorite in the Mini Catalog!) and adding a holiday sentiment completes the card’s theme.
Project Materials:
Art in Bloom Bundle
Pear Pizzazz Cardstock:
4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″ for card base
4″ x 3″
Basic White Cardstock:
4″ x 5-1/4″ – cut 2 (one for embossed layer and one for card interior)
4″ x 4″ (for stamping and die cutting)
