Whimsy & Wonder Merry Christmas

This fun Whimsy & Wonder Merry Christmas card  features the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Even the packages used for embellishing the front are cut from the gorgeous designer series paper.  The non-traditional colors in the paper helps to create a fun, cheerful holiday card.  Of course, ask my granddaughter and she’ll tell you that yes, pink is a Christmas color.  She actually has a pink Christmas tree for her bedroom!  So naturally, it is a must that I use the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Below are photos of the card one with a Polished Pink border and one with a white border.  You’ll have to watch the assembly video to learn the details:)

Card Details:
  • Basic White Thick cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″ for form card base.  Scrap piece to stamp and fussy cut the Merry Christmas sentiment.
  • Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper: Snowflake Design layer 5-1/2″ x 4″; fussy cut 4 presents from the designer paper to use on the card front.
  • 1-1/2″ x 4″ strip of Polished Pink In-Color Shimmer Vellum – Cut the strip using the long, narrow die from the Seasonal Labels Dies.  Attach to the front of the Snowflake Designer Series Paper and snip the overhanging edge before attaching to the card base (I forgot to do this in the assembly video!)
  • Add a Wonderful Snowflake Embellishment over the shimmer vellum, then layer the presents, adding the top present with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp Merry Christmas using Polished Pink Classic Stampin’ Pad and fussy cut around the greeting.  Note: select your favorite Merry Christmas font (I used the Christmas to Remember & the Holly Jolly Wishes Stamp Sets) Attach the greeting using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Don’t forget to embellish the envelope flap with the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper.  It adds the finishing touch! Be sure to register to follow my posts, I’ll be sharing a Whimsy & Wonder gift tag soon.

Merriest Moments Holiday Card

For the next couple of weeks, I will be posting holiday card ideas.  This first card features the Merriest Moments Bundle. In addition to the the stamp set and coordinating dies, the bundle includes the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  With the hybrid embossing folder, the die fits into the embossing folder.  This creates beautifully textured die-cut images.  For the feature card below, the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper is die cut and texture embossed.  Notice the texture on the Basic White cardstock? The Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder is used for it too!  For my card, I am using a sentiment from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set in lieu of one from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set.  A list of materials is below along with an assembly video to assist you reproduce the card.

Christmas in July 2021-Poinsettia Gift Tags

It’s the second week of Christmas in July 2021 and today features Poinsettia Gift Tags.   Last holiday season, I saw Poinsettia Gift tags created by other demonstrators and made a mental note to use the set for gift tags in the future. So this year, I am making Poinsettia gift tags for some of my holiday packages.  The Poinsettia Dies are perfect for creating the poinsettia embellishment for the tags.  The first tag is a poinsettia gift tag design using non-traditional Christmas colors.  The 2021-2023 In Colors are some of my favorite colors and so I selected Polished Pink for the poinsettia.  It will be perfect to for use this Christmas on one of my granddaughter’s gifts.  In addition, I’m sharing another poinsettia gift tag using stamped poinsettia layers which are cut with the coordinating dies.  The color scheme is more subtle (crumb cake on very vanilla cardstock).

Another Peach Themed Card

Yes, it’s another peach themed card!  I warned you in an earlier post that I was having fun creating projects using the Sweet As A Peach bundle and the coordinating You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper.  The designer series paper makes it easy to create a variety of cards differing in color and design yet keeping with the peach theme.  The vibrant colors and peach images on today’s card are perfect for birthday wishes.  Participants in last month’s class, received the materials for creating this card in their kits. Keep reading for additional card details below the card photos.

You're A Peach Designer Series Paper

Card Details:
  • For the card base, use the largest card size in the Assorted Memories & More Card Pack.
  • Cut 3 panels of Pear Pizzazz cardstock 3-7/8″ x 1-7/8″.
  • Next, cut the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper creating 3 panels 3-3/4″ x 1-3/4″.  Attach the designer series paper panels to the Pear Pizzazz cardstock panels with adhesive.
  • To add the panels, space evenly on the card base front and adhere using a strong adhesive such as Stampin’ Seal+ or Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
  • Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin’ Pad.  Cut the label shape using the Tasteful Labels Dies.  Add to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Embellish with a Bumblebee Embellishment and a small bow tied using the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon.  Attach the embellishments using glue dots.

And don’t forget the card interior…

For the greeting, stamp using Calypso Coral Classic Ink Pad (or use Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad). For the peach, ink the stamp with Pale Papaya Classic Ink and then lightly sponge Calypso Coral ink along one side to create color variation before stamping onto the card.  Finish by stamping the stem/leaves using the Pear Pizzazz ink.

There are still peach theme cards for me to share but I’ll take a break and share other creations with you in my next post!  But, I hope you’re inspired to add the Sweet As A Peach Bundle and the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper to your wish list.

Sweet As A Peach Gift Tag

As mentioned in my last post, I am enjoying using the Sweet As A Peach bundle.  In addition to last week’s card and others to share, I have a quick and easy gift tag featuring the Sweet As A Peach Bundle.  Not only does it feature the stamp set, it also highlights the beautiful You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper and the Tailor Made Tags Dies.  Trust me, you’re going to want to add the tags dies to your “must have” list!  The dies include two tag shapes in three sizes so you’ll have the ability to make tags for a variety of package sizes.

Gift Tag

Creating the Sweet As A Peach Gift Tag:
  • Using one of the largest tag dies from the Tailor Made Tags Dies, cut one tag from Pale Papaya cardstock.  Cut another tag from the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper.  Align the tag tops and overlap the designer series paper tag. Adhere the tags together using a glue dot to hold the designer series paper in place.
  • On a scrap of Basic White cardstock, stamp the sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set using Pale Papaya Classic Ink Pad.  After stamping, cut shape using the Tasteful Labels Dies (or a die shape of your choice).
  • Embellish the sentiment by stamping the small leaves (from the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set) using Pear Pizzazz.  Color Basic Rhinestone Jewels with Dark Calypso Coral Blends and add to the leaves.
  • Add the sentiment to the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You can use the gift tag on a variety of packages.  As you see in the photo, a 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ acetate card box is filled with treats.  Pale Papaya & White Ribbon is wrapped around the box and before tying the bow, a strip of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and a strip of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon are added.  The Sweet As A Peach gift tag is inserted under the bow and attached to the box with glue dots.

Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing more “peach themed” projects.
