Hey stamping friends, today’s card will have you smiling! It’s a cascading fun fold card featuring the Little Monkey Bundle from Stampin’ Up! The card is one of the feature cards from the August 2023 focusing on different fun folds. The fun fold features each monkey from the stamp set on a different cascading panel. For the sentiment, the masking technique is used to continue the sentence onto the adjoining panel. Cut and Score Dimensions:
Pecan Pie Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 11” (score on the 11” side at 4” and 6-3/4” – fold as shown in video)

Happy Holidays! I hope your Christmas or Hannukah celebrations were memorable and shared with those you love. We celebrated Christmas with our sons and their families. We feel blessed and fortunate to have been able to enjoy the holiday with them.
And yes, Christmas has already come but I’m sharing a holiday card (was just too busy with holiday tasks to spend time blogging!). However, I thought you would enjoy the technique on this card. It’s a floating panel card and is easily adapted by changing the papers and sentiment. The floating panel technique makes the card unique. Plus you can use all those strips of paper you’ve been saving!

The Wild & Sweet Stamp Set in the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog features three animal designs that are perfect for creating note cards (as well as, standard cards). Due to the detail of the animal images, coloring isn’t required. Today’s feature, the raccoon note card, is perfect for sending that simple greeting. And, isn’t this just the sweetest raccoon you’ve ever seen?
How to make this card..
Stamp the raccoon onto a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock (4-5/8″ x 3-1/8″) using Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad. Using Balmy Blue Ink and a Water Painter, carefully apply a light wash around the image of the raccoon. Color the grass using the Garden Green Watercolor Pencil (use it dry to avoid smearing the gray ink). Stamp the “hey there” sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set using the Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad. Next, add the stamped layer onto a piece of 4-7/8″ x 3-3/8″ Basic Gray cardstock. Finish by adding the layered panel to the front of a Note Card. For an extra touch, partially stamp the raccoon on the front edge of the note card envelope.

Each month I like to include a little something extra in the card kit to-go packages. Since this month’s theme featured products from the Rustic Harvest Suite, I decided to decorate the Peekaboo Treat Bags using the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper. It’s the first time that I have used the Peekaboo Treat Bags but it certainly won’t be the last! Plans are already in place to use them for treat giving this holiday season. The treat bags are the perfect size for small treats, food safe and a great price! And best of all, decorating the peekaboo treat bags is simple. Instruction Tips:
Cut the desired pattern from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper. The width for both top and bottom panels is 3-15/16″. On my samples, the cut dimensions for the top panel is 3-15/16″ x 1-7/8″. There was some variation on the bottom panel height of the peekaboo bags so I recommend measuring the panel to determine the height you desire. The height varied from 1″ -1’12”.
Use multipurpose liquid adhesive to attach the designer series paper panels to the peekaboo treat bag panels.
Stamp leaves onto Basic White cardstock using Mossy Meadow ink pad and cut with the coordinating die.
Using the Mossy Meadow ink, stamp “enjoy” onto the Basic White cardstock and cut with the tag die. (both the stamp and tag are from the Cup of Tea bundle).
Now it’s time to add your treats to your Peekaboo Treat Bag!!! To go with the fall theme, I added Pumpkin Spice and Apple Flavored candies – yum!!!
Wrap Linen Thread three times around the top band of the Peekaboo Treat Bag positioning the twine in the notches on each side of the bag.
Attach the die cut leaves and tag to the top band over the twine.
Complete by embellishing the tag top with a Linen Thread bow.

Today’s card features a fun fold. It’s a Dutch door birthday card featuring the Happiness Abounds Bundle and the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. The Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper is gorgeous! Best of all, focal flowers on the front panel are easily cut using the coordinating Blossoming Happiness dies. Participants in the recent Stamp-a-Stack had fun making three of these cards.
How do you create a Dutch door card? Start with your card base (4-1/4″ x 11″) and score at 5-1/2″. Next, cut the front panel in half at 2-1/8″ and then trim along the fold seam from the top to intersect and remove the top piece. In the photo below, you can see the decorated panel and card interior.

Hi everyone! This week I am excited to share with you some wildlife themed cards. In a recent card class, participants prepared a collection of note cards featuring several of the wildlife stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! So of course, Wildlife Wonder was one of the stamp sets to use. The animals and the sentiments in the set are perfect for masculine themed cards too. Each of the animals from the stamp set became the focal point on the clean and simple cards.
