Today, I want to share the April Paper Pumpkin kit with products to create beautiful Distinktive cards. The video below shows you the kit’s contents that subscribers received last week. When my Paper Pumpkin box arrived, I was eager to see the project. I definitely was not disappointed and opted to not make alternative designs with the kit. It was so much fun. And the cards are gorgeous! Plus the enclosed box is perfect for gifting the cards. If you are not a subscriber, you can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin any time and get in on the excitement each month when that little box comes to your door.
The Distinktive stamps are awesome stamps that bring images to life right before your eyes. They allow you to have amazing images to share with your family and friends as you created these special cards for them. What’s wonderful is now I have a beautiful stamp set to use on future projects!
So if you are not a subscriber, subscribe here by May 10th and be a part of the special kit inspired from Shelli Gardner. Here’s a peek at the special Paper Pumpkin box designed for the Hugs by Shelli.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting. Be sure to check back on Monday to see a new project!
As with many of our catalogs, the Occasions catalog has it’s share of project kits from Stampin’ Up!. The Made to Bloom Kit makes it possible for you to bloom all year long. In the kit, you will also receive pre-printed elements which allows you to add beautiful color to your cards. The kit also contains a stamp set, accents, stamp pad, stamp block, adhesive backed pearls, card bases and envelopes. Once you complete all the cards, you can store them in the acetate box included or, give them away as a gift.
I love being able to have a box of cards for any occasion. Stampin’ Up! adds new project kits to every catalog each year. When you are new to stamping or have limited time to craft, these kits are a life saver. Being able to have all the products in one box saves time and helps you improve your crafting skills.
Today I have a very special z-fold birthday surprise card. It was designed by Cindee Wilkinson @ www.justspongeit.com. Her design was originally for a wedding card, however, I changed the paper and included a birthday greeting inside the card. The Designer Series Paper is our Share What You Love Specialty DSP.
Besides the DSP listed above, I used Basic Black Cardstock for the base. I also used the Stitched All Around Bundle which includes the stamp set and coordinating framelits. Additionally, for the sentiment, I stamped with versamark and heat embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. That gives it a raised and much more vivid impression on the card. Finally, I finished by fussy cutting flower from the Designer Series Paper and tying 1/2″ Black Satin ribbon around card.
I love to take other designs and change it up a bit. See what I can do with it.
Happy Friday! This week I am sharing another of the recent class projects, a First Frost Baker’s Box. The Baker’s Boxes are a great size for adding a treats or other small gifts. One of my favorite embellishments for boxes is to make a belly band and add embellishments so naturally, I decided to use one for this project. For embellishment, the First Frost Bundle coordinates beautifully with the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP).
To decorate the Baker’s Box, cut a 1-3/4″ wide strip of Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP) to create the belly band. Since the DSP will not fit completely around the box, cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock using the large Layering Ovals Framelit to connect the DSP and to act as a base for the embellishments.
The stamped floral uses the Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Markers to color the stamp, then “huff” by blowing your breath over the inked stamp to keep the ink moist and stamp onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock. Cut using the Floral Bouquet Framelits. Also use the Framelits to cut Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Vellum images. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock using the large oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Stamp “enjoy” (from the Takeout Treats Stamp Set) using Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin’ Pad on the right side of the oval. Attach to the Blackberry Bliss oval on the baker’s box belly band. Layer the cut embellishments onto the left side of the oval. Finish by adding a doubled Linen Thread bow and scattering Basic Rhinestone Jewels around the paper.
