One of the projects from the recent card classes is a fun fold card featuring the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set. If you’ve not seen the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set, you must check it out on page 63 in the Holiday Catalog. It was one of the first products on my order list. Though the stamp set contains no sentiments, it’s a set perfect for creating a variety of nature inspired card and project designs. The wildlife animals are good to use for creating masculine theme cards too. It gets even better. For every set that is sold, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to Mental Health Organizations.
Here’s a peek at all the stamps included in the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set…
Card Details:
Cajun Craze cardstock is cut 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ for base.
Cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz 5-1/4″ x 6-3/4″ and score at 4″. Fold on score line to create the card. Attach to the Cajun Craze card base with Snail Adhesive.
The plaid piece is from the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper and is cut 2-1/2″ x 5″. To adhere to the front card flap, use Snail Adhesive.
The Whisper White card interior is 5″ x 3-3/4″. The sentiment on the card is from the Free As A Bird stamp set. Stamp the sentiment on the lower right corner of the exposed Whisper White using Cajun Craze Classic Stamp Pad. Then, attach to the interior of the Pear Pizzazz.
On a 2-1/2″ scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the Bunny using Soft Suede. To the side of the bunny, stamp the reeds using So Saffron. Cut with the next to smallest circle in the Stitched Shapes Dies. Use the Layering Circles Dies to cut a scallop from Cajun Craze cardstock. Attach the bunny piece to the scallop circle with Snail Adhesive. Then attach the entire circle to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Refer to photo for placement. TIP: Be sure to add the Stampin’ Dimensionals to the top half of the circle only.
Complete the card by adding a bow made using the Cajun Craze Linen Thread from the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack.
Also, a big shout out and thank you to Cindee Wilkinson at Just Sponge It! The fun fold was shown on one of her projects. So, I used her dimensions for my nature inspired card.

Looking for a quick card? Today’s card highlights the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and is a card that can be made quickly. Earlier in the month, I needed cards to send to the Playtime with Paper team members in recognition of their July achievements. This Bird Ballad Congratulations card was the result. You’ll notice the card is not the standard rectangular shape. Instead, the card features a square base which works perfectly with the design. Notice too there’s very little stamping. It’s only on the sentiment. The beautiful prints of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper help create the card. What’s wonderful with Stampin’ Up! designer series paper are the coordinating prints on the reversible papers. Read on for details on recreating this beautiful card.
Bird Ballad Congratulations card details:
Card Base: cut a 8″ x 4″ Thick Whisper White cardstock, score and fold at 4″ to create a 4″ x 4″ base.
Cut a 4″ x 4″ piece of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.
Using the Layering Squares Dies, position the square on the center of the designer series paper to cut the frame. The middle of the paper cut from the frame is used for the card front.
Lay the frame atop the card base – TIP: DO NOT ADHERE YET.
For the card center, carefully adhere center piece of the designer series paper so that it’s inside the frame.
Lift frame piece and use stampin’ dimensionals to add it to the card front.
Stamp the Congratulations from the Here’s A Card stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Cut using the Classic Label Punch.
Fussy cut flower pieces from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Attach the sentiment piece and the floral pieces to the frame using mini glue dots.
Finish by embellishing the flower centers with Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
NOTE: If you have the retired Envelope Punch Board, you can make an envelope. Or just pop the card in a Stampin’ Up! Medium envelope, it works great too!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. Are you experiencing the extremely hot and humid temperatures too? Here in Georgia, we’ve been under heat advisories the past couple of days. So you know what that means, time to stay indoors and create! Today’s card share is a design from the August card class and is a simple Peacock Note Card. Several of the elements used for the card are from the Noble Peacock Suite in the 2019-2020 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog. The Royal Peacock Bundle includes the Detailed Peacock Dies and the Royal Peacock Stamp Set. The peacock on today’s note card is cut using one of the peacock dies. Did you notice, there is no stamping required for this peacock. The Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Paper provides a beautiful backdrop for the peacock. More details on creating the simple peacock note card are below the photo.
Details continued:
The card base is a Whisper White Note Card topped with the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Blueberry Bushel designer series paper is 4-3/4″ x 3-1/4″. Using the peacock die from the Detailed Peacock Dies, cut a piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper (4-3/4″ x 2-3/4″). Adhere the peacock to the side of the Blueberry Bushel layer.
For the sentiment, stamp the “Hello” from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using Blueberry Bushel Classic Stamp Pad. Using the 1-1/2″ circle punch, cut around the sentiment. Next, stamp the flowers from the Royal Peacock stamp set around the top and the bottom of the sentiment. NOTE: Placement of the flowers around the sentiment is easier after punching the stamped sentiment. With the 1-3/4″ circle punch, cut a piece of the Old Olive Foil from the Noble Peacock Foil sheets. Adhere the sentiment circle to the foil circle. Attach to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete the card by wrapping the 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon around the card and tie a knot.
See how quick and easy it is to create a peacock note card!

The final make ‘n take card from the Open House utilizes simple stamping with the Daisy Lane Bundle. Since the group was large, it was necessary to have projects without a lot of detail and that would be appropriate for all stamping levels. The Daisy Lane stamp set and coordinating Medium Daisy Punch were perfect! Instead of layering cardstock for a card base, the Gold Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes are used. The foil edge adds pizzazz to the project.
Card Details:
Stamp the flower stems directly onto the Gold Foil-Edged Card using Granny Apple Green Classic Ink Pad.
Use Melon Mambo Classic Ink Pad to stamp 4 medium daisy petal flowers onto Whisper White cardstock. With the Medium Daisy Punch, punch the stamped daisy flowers.
To create the flowers, layer one daisy atop the other. Turn the top daisy so that the petals fill the gap in the petals of the bottom daisy. Attach the top daisy to the bottom daisy using mini glue dots.
Attach the daisies to the stamped flower stems using mini-glue dots. Place one of the daisies slightly lower on the stem as seen in the card photo.
For the sentiment, stamp using Melon Mambo Classic Ink Pad onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Cut using the 1-1/2″ circle punch.
Punch a 2-1/2″ x 2″ piece of Melon Mambo cardstock using the Story Label punch. Layer the circle with sentiment onto the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach to card front with Snail Adhesive.
Attendees new to stamping had fun creating this card. Next week, I will show you how to “step up” this basic card design.
For a recent birthday card, the Beautiful You stamp set was selected for the design. The Live, Laugh, Love phrase and the carefree lady dancing is perfect for my friend. She is the embodiment of the Live with passion, Laugh out loud and Love deeply. Do you have such a friend? I can truly say my friend enjoys life to the fullest and her enthusiasm for life is contagious. When times are hectic, I like to think of her and smile.
Card Details:
The card base is Balmy Blue cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″, score at 4-1/4″ for standard card size). See the coordinating ribbon? Create is by using Balmy Blue Ink Refill to color the Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Ribbon. It’s easy – add a couple of drops of the ink refill to a plastic bag, insert the ribbon and massage the bag to color the ribbon. Remove and allow to dry before using. In a hurry, use your heat tool on low to dry the ribbon. To test that the ribbon is dry, I pull it through a folded piece of paper towel. This also helps dry the ribbon and evenly disperse the ink.
The Designer Series Paper layer is retiring. Yes, of course, I am still trying to use up as much retiring paper as possible! The paper is the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. It is cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″.
Check the Last Chance Products List for items that are retiring on June 3. Quantities on some items are limited. Tomorrow, May 30 at 12 PM (MT), Stampin’ Up! is discounting some of the Last Chance Products up to 30%. So, be sure to check my Online Store!
