Since Labor Day has come and gone, it signals the transition from summer into fall celebrations. So despite having temperatures near 100 this week, the monthly card class theme was projects focusing on Fall and Halloween. One such project is a Halloween card. It features products from the Monster Bash product bundle. The Monster Bash Suite is full of coordinating products that will help you prepare for fun Halloween festivities. Today’s card features the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set, the Ornate Frames Dies, the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder and the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. You can purchase the entire Monster Bash Suite (Item #153485). It includes all the materials on the featured card plus the Coffin Treat Boxes, Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon and Monster Bash Enamel Shapes. Or if you prefer, the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set and the coordinating Ornate Frames can be purchased in the Spooktacular Bash Bundle.
Card Details:
To form card base, cut Terracotta Tile cardstock (5-1/2″ x 11″, score and fold at 4-1/4″).
The next layer is Crushed Curry cardstock (5-1/4″x 4″). To texture emboss the panel, use the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Attach to the Terracotta Tile card base using Snail Adhesive.
On Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the sentiment and the vampire using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. TIP: Use the Stamparatus when stamping (especially for the vampire) so you can double stamp to get a complete stamped image. After stamping, cut the shapes using the Ornate Frames Dies. Also, cut a scroll frame from Terracotta Tile cardstock. Attach the vampire to the scroll using Snail Adhesive.
Cut a 2-7/8″x 2-7/8″ square of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. Attach it to a 3″ x 3″ square of Basic Black cardstock with Snail Adhesive. Wrap black ribbon around the square and tie into a knotted bow. Adhere to the card front using adhesive.
Finish card front by adding the vampire scroll and sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To complete the look, stamp the envelope and the card interior with some of the fun stamps from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set!
You’ll have lots of fun creating Halloween projects with the Monster Bash Suite of products!

Yes, it’s more Dino Days and today I’m featuring a card from this month’s class. The card features the Dino Days Bundle which includes the Dino Days stamp set and coordinating Dino Dies. In addition, the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper provides the perfect background. The Pteradyctal, with it’s wingspread, goes perfectly with the sentiment. I have had great fun creating projects with this bundle and can assure you, I will be posting more Dino projects in the future!
Card Details:
Create card base using Pretty Peacock cardstock (4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″). Card is an oblong, right side opening card.
Layer a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Dinoroar Designer Series Paper onto the card base.
Cut Lovely Lipstick cardstock layer: 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″.
Use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut Whisper White cardstock (select rectangle die to cut Whisper White so that piece will fit inside of the Lovely Lipstick layer).
Stamp the tree trunk with Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad. Add the palm fronds, stamping with Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad. TIP: Stamp once, then stamp again before re-inking the stamp.
Stamp background circles onto the Whisper White using Pineapple Punch.
With Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp the sentiment onto the lower portion of the Whisper White cardstock piece. Add to the Lovely Lipstick cardstock layer using snail adhesive.
On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the Pterodactyl using Mango Melody Classic Stampin’ Pad – first, stamp off onto another piece of paper, then stamp again. Stamp the wing design using the Mango Melody ink without stamping off. Cut using the coordinating Dino Die. Add to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut a 3′ piece of the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon. Fold in half and attach to the lower left side of the Lovely Lipstick layer using adhesive.
Add completed sentiment layer to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hope I have convinced you to use the Dino Days Bundle to create some fun cards for your dinosaur lover!

Looking for a quick card? Today’s card highlights the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and is a card that can be made quickly. Earlier in the month, I needed cards to send to the Playtime with Paper team members in recognition of their July achievements. This Bird Ballad Congratulations card was the result. You’ll notice the card is not the standard rectangular shape. Instead, the card features a square base which works perfectly with the design. Notice too there’s very little stamping. It’s only on the sentiment. The beautiful prints of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper help create the card. What’s wonderful with Stampin’ Up! designer series paper are the coordinating prints on the reversible papers. Read on for details on recreating this beautiful card.
Bird Ballad Congratulations card details:
Card Base: cut a 8″ x 4″ Thick Whisper White cardstock, score and fold at 4″ to create a 4″ x 4″ base.
Cut a 4″ x 4″ piece of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.
Using the Layering Squares Dies, position the square on the center of the designer series paper to cut the frame. The middle of the paper cut from the frame is used for the card front.
Lay the frame atop the card base – TIP: DO NOT ADHERE YET.
For the card center, carefully adhere center piece of the designer series paper so that it’s inside the frame.
Lift frame piece and use stampin’ dimensionals to add it to the card front.
Stamp the Congratulations from the Here’s A Card stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Cut using the Classic Label Punch.
Fussy cut flower pieces from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Attach the sentiment piece and the floral pieces to the frame using mini glue dots.
Finish by embellishing the flower centers with Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
NOTE: If you have the retired Envelope Punch Board, you can make an envelope. Or just pop the card in a Stampin’ Up! Medium envelope, it works great too!

Do you have a youngster (or oldster!) who likes dinosaurs? If so, this Dino Days Treat Holder is perfect for when you want to give them a “little something”. The Clear Tiny Treat Boxes are perfect for tiny treats and fun to decorate. It’s been great fun creating different projects using the Dinoroar Suite Bundle and this Dino Days Treat Holder is no exception.
Here’s a side view:
Project Details:
Stamp dinosaur body from the Dino Days Stamp Set using Pool Party Classic Stampin’ Pad onto Whisper White cardstock. Also, stamp the spikes using Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad onto Whisper White cardstock. Cut the pieces using the coordinating Dino Dies. Attach the spikes to the dinosaur body using mini glue dots.
Using Mango Melody Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Cut using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. TIP: Position the die so that the sentiment will be closer to the right edge of the cut shape. This will leave room to add the dinosaur. Add the Dinosaur to the left side of the sentiment label using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
With Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp the fern fronds onto a scrap of Old Olive cardstock. Stamp 3 times. Cut using the coordinating die from the Dino Dies.
Cut along the edging on an approximately a 2″ piece of 3/8″ Denim Ribbon. Then fray the ribbon into threads. Use Snail Adhesive to attach the frays to the sentiment piece (refer to project photo). With mini glue dots, layer the 3 ferns and add to the top right edge of the sentiment label behind the frayed ribbon. Embellish with a Dinoroar Enamel Shape.
Assemble the Box:
Put the Clear Tiny Treat Box together. TIP: Don’t forget to remove the plastic film that protects the box.
To create a liner for the box, cut a 6″ x 2″ piece of Mango Melody cardstock. Score at 2″ and 4″ and insert into treat box. For the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper, cut two pieces: 2″ x 4″ (score at 2″) and 2″ x 2″ piece (two pieces are cut so that the print goes in the same direction when inserted into the treat box). Use a mini glue dot at the top of the designer series paper to hold it in place.
To complete the treat box, attach the sentiment label to the box using Stampin’ Dimensionals and add your treat! TIP: For ease in opening the box, put the label on the box back so that the box lid opens from the back. This also keeps the sentiment label in place.

Earlier this week, I shared a simple peacock note card. Now, I’m sharing another card featuring the Royal Peacock Bundle. It’s a Royal Peacock Happy Birthday card. While the note card was simple, this card takes more time but the results are beautiful. Don’t you agree? Card details and tips are continued below the card’s photo.
Royal Peacock Happy Birthday Card Details:
The card base uses Blueberry Bushel cardstock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ and scored, then folded at 4-1/4″. A second card layer of Basic Black cardstock (5-1/4″ x 4″) is added. The top layer is a layer of Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper in the Old Olive design (3-3/4″ x 5″). TIP: Before adding the Noble Peacock Designer Series Paper. Wrap a piece of the Blueberry Bushel 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon around the paper (refer to photo for placement).
Stamping the Peacock – TIP:Due to the complexity of the design, I recommend using the Stamparatus to ensure stamping success as you may need to re-ink and repeat the stamping. The peacock is a two stage stamp set. First, stamp the full peacock using Stazon Jet Black Ink Pad onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock. Use the Old Olive watercolor pencil from the Watercolor Pencils set to color the back and lower feathers of the peacock. With an aqua painter, lightly wash over the Old Olive coloring. Using a clean aqua painter, color the top portion of the peacock using Blueberry Bushel ink. For the second stage, stamp the additional feathers onto the lower area using Blueberry Bushel Classic Stampin’ Pad. With the coordinating die from the Detailed Peacock Dies, cut the peacock shape. Add to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the sentiment: Stamp the sentiment from the Here’s A Card stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Ink. Cut shape using the Stitched Labels Nested Labels Dies. If desired, trim the right side to align with the top layer of the card.
Complete the card by adding Noble Peacock Rhinestones to embellish the peacock tail feathers and the sentiment.

In today’s post, I am sharing a fun set of note cards highlighting the Dino Days Bundle. In addition, the Scalloped Note Cards are featured. Not only are the note cards lots of fun to create, they are fun and playful looking. The Dino Days Bundle includes the Dino Days Stamp Set and Dino Dies. The Dino Days Bundle is included in the Dinoroar Suite Bundle along with the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper, 3/8″ Denim Ribbon and Dinoroar Enamel Shapes. When starting to design the project, I first looked at the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper and used it as my color inspiration. It was then when I realized that the designer series paper would coordinate beautifully with the Scalloped Note Cards. If you’ve noticed in past posts, I am a huge fan of note cards. Now with the Scalloped Note Cards, I have more creation options.
Aren’t the dinosaurs cute? I’ll let you in on a secret! All of the dinosaurs used on the note cards were cut from the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. And no fussy cutting was required! The Dino Dies matches perfectly with dinosaur images on some of the designer series paper.
Here’s a tip for you when cutting the dinosaurs with spikes on their backs. There are two separate dies, one for the dinosaur body and one for the spikes. First cut the dinosaur body with the coordinating die. After cutting, you will notice that the spike will not have enough paper for you to attach it to the dinosaur. Therefore, adhere the spike to a scrap of whisper white cardstock and then cut it with the spike die. This will provide you with enough paper to attach to the dinosaur.
