And those hearts! Well, they are also from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. Just use the coordinating Country Bouquet Punch to cut the hearts and leaves at the same time. It can’t get much simpler. The products used for the card are part of the beautiful Country Floral Lane Suite in the Stampin’ Up! January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. The Country Bouquet stamp set provides the Happy Valentine’s greeting along with other sentiments and special greetings to use year round. Happy Holidays! I hope your Christmas or Hannukah celebrations were memorable and shared with those you love. We celebrated Christmas with our sons and their families. We feel blessed and fortunate to have been able to enjoy the holiday with them.
And yes, Christmas has already come but I’m sharing a holiday card (was just too busy with holiday tasks to spend time blogging!). However, I thought you would enjoy the technique on this card. It’s a floating panel card and is easily adapted by changing the papers and sentiment. The floating panel technique makes the card unique. Plus you can use all those strips of paper you’ve been saving!

Today’s project features a Christmas Banner holiday card that is easy for mass production. There’s little stamping and the use of designer series paper layered onto cardstock completes the look. While I am using non-traditional colors, it’s easy to swap out the colors and use a designer series paper with a traditional holiday color scheme. Before I get into a brief description of today’s card, do you notice anything different on my blog? I have a new header! After 5+ years with my previous blog header, I decided it was time for an update. Leave a comment and let me know what you think of the new look.
Now on to today’s project…the Candy Cane holiday card is one of the feature projects from this month’s class. It is also a card featured in the monthly kit to-go. The Candy Cane Dies and the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper combine to create a beautiful card. Best of all, the dies coordinate to cut the candy canes from the designer series paper. Notice in the card photo below, the candy canes face opposite directions…yes, there are two candy cane dies to match! Plus if you purchase the Sweet Candy Cane Bundle which includes the stamp set and dies, there are candy canes stamps facing in opposite directions too. This offers great design flexibility. I have prepared a video with assembly directions and a tip on adding shine to the candy canes.

This month’s kit-to go features the Hello Harvest Bundle and the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper from the Stampin’ Up! July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. One of the cards is this Hello Harvest Fun Fold card. The fun fold is the book binding fold variation has been rotated so that it opens from bottom to top. Since I choose one of the black and white designer series papers as my base layer, I decided to keep the pumpkin white and bring in additional color by coloring the floral spray for the top of the pumpkin. I think it was a great choice! What do you think?

Today’s card features a fun fold. It’s a Dutch door birthday card featuring the Happiness Abounds Bundle and the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. The Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper is gorgeous! Best of all, focal flowers on the front panel are easily cut using the coordinating Blossoming Happiness dies. Participants in the recent Stamp-a-Stack had fun making three of these cards.
How do you create a Dutch door card? Start with your card base (4-1/4″ x 11″) and score at 5-1/2″. Next, cut the front panel in half at 2-1/8″ and then trim along the fold seam from the top to intersect and remove the top piece. In the photo below, you can see the decorated panel and card interior.
