For a recent birthday card, the Beautiful You stamp set was selected for the design. The Live, Laugh, Love phrase and the carefree lady dancing is perfect for my friend. She is the embodiment of the Live with passion, Laugh out loud and Love deeply. Do you have such a friend? I can truly say my friend enjoys life to the fullest and her enthusiasm for life is contagious. When times are hectic, I like to think of her and smile.
Card Details:
The card base is Balmy Blue cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″, score at 4-1/4″ for standard card size). See the coordinating ribbon? Create is by using Balmy Blue Ink Refill to color the Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Ribbon. It’s easy – add a couple of drops of the ink refill to a plastic bag, insert the ribbon and massage the bag to color the ribbon. Remove and allow to dry before using. In a hurry, use your heat tool on low to dry the ribbon. To test that the ribbon is dry, I pull it through a folded piece of paper towel. This also helps dry the ribbon and evenly disperse the ink.
The Designer Series Paper layer is retiring. Yes, of course, I am still trying to use up as much retiring paper as possible! The paper is the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. It is cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″.
With the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the lady using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. With the Stamparatus, align the sentiment phrase in upper right corner of the card layer and stamp using the black ink. To color the lady, a selection of Stampin’ Blends were chosen. For the dress, use Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends with highlights of Light Daffodil Delight. The hat color is Daffodil Delight. For skin color, use the Ivory Stampin’ Blends and the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends color the water puddle. Attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The 2019-2020 Annual Catalog launches on June 4. So, I am sharing a peek at the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. The Magnolia Lane Designer Series paper is stunning and is as beautiful as blooming Magnolia trees. I am participating in a designer series paper swap with several other demonstrators. Today’s card is the card prepared for the swap. It features three of the paper’s coordinating designs. Additionally, the sentiment is one of the stamps in the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. Do you notice the magnolia bud by the sentiment? The coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies cut the bud from one of the designer series papers perfectly. Be sure to add this bundle to your Shopping List.
Card Details:
- The card base (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score & fold at 4-1/4″) and the oval for the sentiment are Petal Pink cardstock.
- Cut a piece of the floral pattern of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper to 5-1/4″ x 4″.
- For the next layer, cut Mossy Meadow cardstock to a size of 4-1/4″ x 3″.
- The stripe layer of designer series paper is 4″ x 2-3/4″. Attach to the Mossy Meadow cardstock layer.
- Use the Magnolia Memories die to cut a magnolia bud from the designer series paper.
- With the smaller open cut leaf, cut three leaves from Vellum cardstock. Layer the 3 leaves behind the bud as shown in the photo.
- Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Cut using an oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Layer onto the Petal Pink cardstock oval cut using the Layering Ovals Dies.
- Attach the sentiment piece to the striped designer series paper layer using stampin’ dimensionals.
- Embellish with a bow tied using the Mossy Meadow twine in the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.
- The final embellishment is a scattering of three Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins in Sahara Sand color.

A few weeks ago, I shared a Beauty Abounds card. Afterwards, I decided to create additional cards with the stamp set. Today’s Beauty Abounds Hello with it’s cheerful colors reminds me of summer. Mango Melody, Lemon Lime Twist and Highland Heather coordinate perfectly. I especially like that the background stamps from the set and my favorite are the “bubbles.” The card greeting from the Floral Frames stamp set is perfect to use on cards when you just want to send a note for no particular reason other than to say “hello.” Do you enjoy receiving handwritten notes? In this world full of electronic communication, I still like to occasionally receive handwritten notes and this Beauty Abounds Hello would be a lovely card to receive.
Card Details:
- Card base is Mango Melody cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score and fold at 4-1/4″)
- Second layer is a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
- Next, stamp the floral stem from the Beauty Abounds stamp set onto a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Refer to photo of card for placement.
- Use Highland Heather to stamp the large bubbles two times across the floral stem.
- Stamp the small bubbles three times on the stem using Mango Melody Classic Stampin’ Ink Pad. NOTE: Stamp off onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto the card.
- Randomly stamp “splatters” using Lemon Lime Twist Classic Stampin’ Ink Pad.
- On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Hello from the Floral Frames Stamp Set. Cut using the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. Layer onto a 2″ Circle of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Attach to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- With the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp a small and a large butterfly onto card. Color using Light Highland Heather and Light Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends.
- Use the Butterfly Beauty Dies to cut a small butterfly from Mango Melody cardstock to attach to sentiment piece. Embellish butterfly with a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
- Complete embellishing the sentiment with the green Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins.
Please take note that the Lemon Lime Twist color is retiring on June 3 and supplies of cardstock have been depleted. Granny Apple Green works with the other colors too. Additionally, the Floral Frames Stamp Set is retiring. Stamp set availability is guaranteed until May 24, with the last day to purchase as June 3 (or while supplies last.) Also note that after June 3, the item numbers for the non-retiring products may be changing so be sure to search the name in the new catalog.

One of the stamp sets in the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog is the New Wonders Distinktive Stamp Set. This stamp set is available for Hosts to purchase. When I saw the set in the catalog, I knew it was one to add to my collection. It has three fairies (at least, that’s what I’m calling them) and some great sentiments. The Distinktive Stamps add dimension and photo quality to the fairy images. Fortunately, I was able to pre-order the stamp set. You can order from the catalog starting on June 4. Since this set is exclusive for hosting a party, gather your friends and schedule an online stamp party with me. With qualifying sales, you can purchase the set plus earn Stampin’ Rewards to spend on other products.
Today, I have note card with a sneak peak of a couple of the stamps from the New Wonders set. Since I am trying to deplete my stash of retiring designer series paper, I am using the 6″ x 6″ Subtles Designer Series Paper pack. Since the Designer Series Paper pack is retiring, order it now while it’s still available. The note card’s base color is Soft Sea Foam. For the note card below, I am using the fairy with the ink pen and the “Just popping in to say…Hi” sentiments. The sentiments are actually two different stamps with the Hi as a separate stamp. The stamp set contains are other sentiments to complete the phrase. A variety of Stampin’ Blends colors bring the fairy to life!
Card Details:
- Attach a piece of 4-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ Soft Sea Foam Designer Series Paper to a Whisper White Note Card using Snail Adhesive.
- Use largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.
- Stamp fairy image onto a 3-1/4″ square of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The following Stamping Blends are used: Dress – Light & Dark Soft Sea Foam, Light & Dark Highland Heather; Hair – Light Soft Suede, Light & Dark Daffodil Delight; Face/Hands/Feet – Ivory; Ink Pen – Light & Dark Smoky Slate; Hearts – Light Real Red. Use the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter to add highlights. Or select your favorite Stampin’ Blend colors!
- To highlight the wings on the fairy, color them with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.
- Cut using the Layering Circles Dies. After cutting, adhere to the Soft Seafoam stitched circle with adhesive.
- Adhere to front of card with adhesive.
- Stamp sentiments onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Note: use the Stamparatus for ease in placement and stamping of the phrase. Cut the sentiment with the label die from the Perfect Parcel Dies (this is also in the 2019-2020 Catalog).
- Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card.
- Color a strip of 1/8″ Whisper White Sheer Ribbon using the Dark Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. Let dry for a few minutes before tying into a bow. Attach bow to card using mini glue dots.
