Box making using the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper was one of the technique projects from this week’s meeting. Basic Black Cardstock (discontinued): 12″ x 12″; cut a sliver of cardstock (approx. 1/16″) from two adjoining sides of the cardstock. Next score at 2-1/2″ on all sides. NOTE: Since the Basic Black Cardstock is no longer available in a 12″ x 12″ size, I recommend substituting with colors from the 2021-2023 In Color 12″ x 12″ pack (either the Fresh Freesia or Evening Evergreen) or Regals 12″ x 12″ Cardstock (Old Olive).

You’ll be ready for Valentine’s Day with this Country Floral Lane card. The beautiful Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper provides the perfect background for the hearts and sentiment. And those hearts! Well, they are also from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. Just use the coordinating Country Bouquet Punch to cut the hearts and leaves at the same time. It can’t get much simpler. The products used for the card are part of the beautiful Country Floral Lane Suite in the Stampin’ Up! January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. The Country Bouquet stamp set provides the Happy Valentine’s greeting along with other sentiments and special greetings to use year round. Today the Kind & Sincere Stamp Set with the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper creates a simple gratuity card. The Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper is a FREE Sale-A-Bration selection and is gorgeous! The brochure does not do it justice. Following the holidays, I send notes of gratuity to family and friends for gifts. The new Kind & Sincere Stamp in the January-April Mini Catalog contains words and phrases perfect for expressing a variety of sentiments. Combining the stamp set, the designer series paper and using an embossing folder, a beautiful card is created!
How to create the Kind & Sincere meets Favored Flowers card…
Begin with a card base of Thick Basic White Cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score/fold at 4-1/4″.) On a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the word “Thanks” onto the lower right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Texture emboss using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. After embossing, add to the card base with adhesive. Select a large flower image from the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper and fussy cut. If desired, attach a loop of ribbon to the card where you plan to position the flower so that it will peek from beneath the image. Complete the card front by adding the fussy cut flower to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Holidays! I hope your Christmas or Hannukah celebrations were memorable and shared with those you love. We celebrated Christmas with our sons and their families. We feel blessed and fortunate to have been able to enjoy the holiday with them.
And yes, Christmas has already come but I’m sharing a holiday card (was just too busy with holiday tasks to spend time blogging!). However, I thought you would enjoy the technique on this card. It’s a floating panel card and is easily adapted by changing the papers and sentiment. The floating panel technique makes the card unique. Plus you can use all those strips of paper you’ve been saving!

Today’s project features a Christmas Banner holiday card that is easy for mass production. There’s little stamping and the use of designer series paper layered onto cardstock completes the look. While I am using non-traditional colors, it’s easy to swap out the colors and use a designer series paper with a traditional holiday color scheme. Watch the video below to see how simple it is to make the Christmas Banner card. NOTE: The Christmas Banner Bundle is retiring soon!
