Need a quick and easy holiday card? The design on this Holly, Jolly & Bright card is your “go-to” card layout. The card design is one of my favorite to use year round but it is especially useful during the hectic holiday season. A combination of project suites from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog come together to create the card in the photo. The sentiment is found in the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set. While the Festive Farmhouse suite of products offers the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Cherry Cobbler Twine.
To take the card “up a notch” with more visual appeal, wrap the twine multiple times around the card. Then add extra bling by using the Sprig Punch to cut the Sparkle Glimmer paper.
Just a comment about the new Glimmer Paper – the glimmer stays on the paper so the glitter is not all over your craft room. There are four colors of Glimmer Paper in the Annual Catalog and additional colors in the Joyous Noel Suite in the Holiday Catalog.
Today’s card, Snowflakes are Falling, is one of the projects from the recent card class. Products featured are the Snow Is Glistening Stamp Set, Snowfall Thinlits Dies and the White Velvet Paper. All items are a Limited Time Offer for November or While Supplies Last and the White Velvet Paper supply is already Sold Out! You’re going to love this set and another benefit is the versatility if offers.
Steps to recreate this Snowflakes are Falling card:
Select three sizes of snowflakes and Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Pad to randomly stamp the 5″ x 3-3/4″ Night of Navy cardstock layer. Allow to dry for a few minutes and attach to the Foil-Edged card base. You’ll find that the Night of Navy layer fits perfectly to allow the foil to create a frame. Time Saving Tip: Use a block size D or larger so you can place all three snowflake stamps on the block for stamp the three sizes randomly at the same time.
For cutting the three different sizes of snowflakes, choose the dies from the Snowfall Thinlits and use Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp sentiment onto strip of 1/2″ x 3″ Whisper White cardstock using Night of Navy Stampin’ Pad and adhere to 3-1/4″ x 3/4″ Silver Foil strip. Add to card using dimensionals.
Adhere die cut snowflakes to the card using dots of Tombo multipurpose glue and to add additional dimension, just glue around the snowflake centers.
Finally, complete card by adding Basic Rhinestones to center of each Whisper White snowflake so it enhances the snowflakes.
Because this is a limited time only offer, make sure to place your order before the products are gone. Remember, the white paper is already sold out. The Snow is Glistening stamp set and Snowfall thinlits dies will provide you with unlimited winter craft creations. Also, the coordinating Happiness Surrounds Photopolymer Stamp Set works well with the products for more creative options.

First of all, it’s all about presents in this weeks CASE the catalog. The project features the Bring on the Presents stamp set and All the Presents Thinlits from page 16 of the Holiday Catalog. I’m very fond of these products and what cute projects you can create with them. All the projects on that page of the catalog are great. There was just something about this card that attracted me. Maybe it’s the non-traditional color, or probably the bows.
Either way, I’m all about presents and hope you are too!
I plan on creating another one and maybe even more to use right on my packages as a tag. The bows are also fun to color and when you raise them with the Dimensionals, they just sort of pop. This catalog is so wonderful and I enjoy all the projects. It’s been hard choosing one each week because I enjoy them so much.
The colors are: Mint Macaroon Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Mint Macaroon, Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink pads (the Cherry Cobbler is on the tag). The Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends are used to color the bows and the Gold Metallic Thread is used as well. Use Stampin Dimensionals and adhesive to adhere the bows. To ensure lines are straight, I recommend using the Stamparatus.
Finally, sometimes the non-traditional colors make cards that much more appealing. Taking a card up a notch and making it stand out can make people admire it that much more. Add some dazzle or some fancy accessories and give it character. Maybe even use another color. It’s all in your imagination.
I also hope you enjoyed this weeks CASE the Catalog.
