First of all, this card I am sharing with you today is a beautiful frosted shimmer. The shimmer does not show through pictures. It features the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is part of the Frosted Floral Suite in the Holiday Catalog. The card is also one of the samples that attendees made at this month’s card class. Furthermore, the paper is “Shimmery” and while you really cannot appreciate it in the photograph, it’s amazing. Seriously, the photos really do not do it justice and all of the paper in the package is simply gorgeous.
So do you see the frosted shimmer? Because of the glare, It may be a bit difficult to see. Create the card using The First Frost Stamp set and Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. Both are offered in the First Frost Bundle while saving you 10%. Do you notice the Soft Suede frame is askew? Frame is cut using the Frosted Bouquet dies and attached to sentiment layer using dots of multipurpose liquid glue. It also adds an unexpected dimension to the card. Remember, all project materials can be found under Project Materials at the end of the post.
Also, you will have the opportunity to see so many more samples like this in my 12 Weeks of Christmas holiday promotion.

The Merry Christmas to All bundle is definitely a favorite. Just watch how quickly this little tag (or card front) comes together and think about how fast you can create a bunch.
The Falling for Leaves bundle makes me want to get out that warm winter quilt and sip some hot chocolate next to the fire while working.
All these bundles, along with many others from the Holiday Catalog are available in my online store here. If you are still in need of a catalog, contact me and we can get one sent out to you.

The holiday madness begins with the release of the Holiday catalog today. Yes, today is the day it goes live. I know you are as excited as I am and can’t wait to create your wishlist. It’s probably my second favorite time of year. While there is nothing wrong with another day to celebrate, I really enjoy the brisk weather and beautiful colors the Fall has to offer. First of all, there are so many new stamp sets, papers, accessories and embellishments to check out, it may take you a while to absorb it all and appreciate everything that is in this catalog. Due to the volume of products, it may take you a little longer than you think.
Holiday Madness Begins Today
Yes, it is time for that crazy time of year. No, not back to school shopping but another obession in the form of my to do list of holiday events. It’s not just about presents and days off. For me it’s also about cards and projects and decorating. Everything also has a deadline and it’s almost easy to fall behind if you don’t plan ahead and early. As a result, you certainly won’t get it all done without a plan. It’s a good thing kids go back to school, we need that time to prepare for the weeks and months ahead. I think I’m planning even more projects than I did last year. It’s easy with a catalog like this one because there are more suites and kits that all coordinate together. I love almost all the new products.
Furthermore, if you did not receive a catalog in the mail and would like one, please contact me to arrange getting a catalog sent to you. You can also visit my online store to see all the new products.
Happy Monday and it’s time for another CASE the Catalog. This week, in anticipation of the launch of the 12 Weeks of Christmas that starts later next month, I decided to create my version of the Christmas Pines sample on page 97 of the Annual Catalog. Also, keep in mind that the next few weeks will be consumed with holiday cards and projects. Our new Holiday Catalog is amazing. Lots of fun samples are coming. This sample is from the Annual Catalog because, well the Holiday Catalog doesn’t come out until September 5th. Enjoy
The Sheet Music stamp was used to create a custom background when inked with Crumb Cake and stamped onto a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Finally, using the pine needles stamp from the Christmas Pines stamp set and Old Olive ink, stamp the upper left corner of the page. Furthermore, you can add color variation by stamping twice before re-inking the stamp.
CASE The Catalog
Here is “my version” – to create the look of an old piece of sheet music, tear small strip from all sides of the paper and lightly sponge the edges plus the lower portion of the page. Similarly to the catalog sample, I curled the edges slightly and adhered the page to the Crumb Cake cardstock base. Use Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies to cut the pine cones from Early Espresso cardstock and the leaves from Gold Foil. A bow of 1/4″ Copper Trim finished the look. Use the sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set and stamp using Mossy Meadow on Whisper White and cut using the Everyday Punch. A folded strip of 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon was placed under the sentiment to complete the card.
