Happy Friday! For this week’s post, I am featuring the Beauty of the Earth Suite. The Beauty of the Earth Suite includes the Beauty of Friendship Bundle, the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper and the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Today’s cards are two of the designs from Playtime with Paper team member and Peach State Stamper, Linda Edwards. Each card showcases the aptly named Beauty of the Earth Suite. I’m calling the first card a “panel card” and the second card a “thinking of you card”. Below each card, I’ll share a few details for creating each.
Tips for creating the Beauty of the Earth “Panel” Card:
Select the desired Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper that you wish to use as the long panel and cut a panel 1″ x 4-1/4″. Using the designer series paper as your guide, select a coordinating color for your card base and the layer for adhering the panels. For this sample, Misty Moonlight cardstock has been selected. Cut card base (5-1/2″ x 11″, score & fold at 4-1/4″) and panel layer 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″.
Using Basic White Cardstock (CS), cut the following pieces: 5-1/4″ x 4″; 3″ x 2-1/8″; 1-1/2″ x 2-1/8″.
To add texture to the large piece of Basic White cardstock, texture emboss using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Next, attach to the card base using a strong adhesive.
Next, stamp the sentiment and the tree onto the remaining Basic White CS panels.
Attach the Beauty of the Earth DSP panel and the stamped panels to the base color cardstock layer.
Wrap Linen Thread around the DSP panel three (3) times and attach to the back of the cardstock. Tie a small bow with the Linen Thread & attach to the wrapped threads using a glue dot. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add layer to the card base atop the bark embossed layer.
Complete the card front by die cutting a bird using the Beautiful Trees Dies. Add to the card front using a glue dot.
Now for the Beauty of Earth “Thinking of You” card:
Tips for creating:
Create the card base using Thick Basic White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 11″, score & fold at 4-1/4″).
Cut Bumblebee cardstock(CS) panel 5-1/4″ x 4″. Using the splotch stamp from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set & Bumblebee Ink Pad, stamp on the upper right & lower left corners. Attach to the card base.
A panel of Early Espresso is cut 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ and texture embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (or use the Bark 3D Embossing Folder)
The background panel (4″ x 3″) for the tree is cut from the Beauty of the Earth DSP. For the grass, use a Blender Brush to apply Old Olive ink to the lower portion of the panel. Stamp the ground area using Early Espresso. Layer the panels onto the card – refer to the card photo to note how to place the panels.
Using the Beautiful Tree Dies, cut the tree base & leaves from the Beauty of the Early DSP. With adhesive, add the tree base to the background DSP layer. Next, add the leaves panel to the tree base using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish the card by die cutting two birds from a scrap of Bumblebee cardstock and attach to the tree with glue dots.
Finish by stamping the Thinking of You sentiment from the stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White CS and cut with the coordinating die. Place it atop a strip of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim and attach to the card front.
After seeing these two cards, don’t you want to add the Beauty of the Earth Suite to your “must have” list? I know I did!!! Thank you Linda for these gorgeous card designs featuring the Beauty of the Earth Suite. You can see more of Linda’s creativity at Crafty Heron Designs.

As promised, this week’s card is a new theme and features the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. The beauty of the stamp set is the Distinktive design which provides a dimensional effect. Additionally, the stamps do not completely fill the line image stamp thus leaving unstamped background areas. This provides additional dimension and interest to the images. So if you’re stamping and think you’ve made a mistake, you haven’t. The images are supposed to be “imperfect”. Today’s thanks card is featuring the Hand-Penned Petals large floral spray and the new In-Colors. I love how the In-Colors coordinate together on projects. Details for creating the card are below.
Hand-Penned Petals Thanks Card Details:
Create card base using Thick Basic White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score & fold at 4-1/4″).
Layer one is a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Polished Pink cardstock.
The next layer is a Fresh Freesia Gingham print from the Pansy Petal Designer Series Paper (5″ x 3-3/4″).
On Basic White cardstock, stamp the large floral spray from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set two (2) times using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Use the following Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads to stamp the flowers and leaves: Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink (stamp off once before stamping pink flowers) and Soft Succulent.
Cut each of the floral sprays using the coordinating die from the Penned Flowers Dies.
Add the floral sprays to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Position so that the floral sprays slightly overlap to create one large floral spray.
For the sentiment, “thanks” is heat embossed using Versamark and White Embossing Powder. After embossing and allowing to cool slightly, fussy cut around the word. Attach to the lower corner of the card.
Complete card by embellishing with Genial Gems.
If you’re like me and a lover of floral stamps, you’ll want to add this set to your stamp collection.

Yes, it’s another peach themed card! I warned you in an earlier post that I was having fun creating projects using the Sweet As A Peach bundle and the coordinating You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper. The designer series paper makes it easy to create a variety of cards differing in color and design yet keeping with the peach theme. The vibrant colors and peach images on today’s card are perfect for birthday wishes. Participants in last month’s class, received the materials for creating this card in their kits. Keep reading for additional card details below the card photos.
Card Details:
For the card base, use the largest card size in the Assorted Memories & More Card Pack.
Cut 3 panels of Pear Pizzazz cardstock 3-7/8″ x 1-7/8″.
Next, cut the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper creating 3 panels 3-3/4″ x 1-3/4″. Attach the designer series paper panels to the Pear Pizzazz cardstock panels with adhesive.
To add the panels, space evenly on the card base front and adhere using a strong adhesive such as Stampin’ Seal+ or Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin’ Pad. Cut the label shape using the Tasteful Labels Dies. Add to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with a Bumblebee Embellishment and a small bow tied using the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon. Attach the embellishments using glue dots.
And don’t forget the card interior…
For the greeting, stamp using Calypso Coral Classic Ink Pad (or use Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad). For the peach, ink the stamp with Pale Papaya Classic Ink and then lightly sponge Calypso Coral ink along one side to create color variation before stamping onto the card. Finish by stamping the stem/leaves using the Pear Pizzazz ink.
There are still peach theme cards for me to share but I’ll take a break and share other creations with you in my next post! But, I hope you’re inspired to add the Sweet As A Peach Bundle and the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper to your wish list.
Time is running out on the Connect, Craft & Collect Promotion. For orders of $250 or more, you’ll receive an additional $25 in rewards. But hurry, the promotion ends on June 14, 2021.

Wow! I can’t believe a month has passed and I haven’t updated this blog. Obviously, I’ve been busy but I didn’t realize so much time has passed. The great thing is I have lots of projects to share with you over the next few weeks. So many, that I’ll be adding some additional posts for the next few weeks. One group of projects will feature the Sweet As A Peach Bundle. When I first saw the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, I was immediately drawn to the Sweet As A Peach bundle and the coordinating You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper. So today, I am sharing a project from the May card class featuring the bundle.
Card Details:
Create a card base using Basic White Thick cardstock (4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold).
Cut the following from the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper (DSP): 5-1/2″ x 4″ and a coordinating piece 4-1/4″ x 2-1/2″.
Attach the larger piece of the DSP of the front of the card base using your favorite adhesive.
Next, cut a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock (2-7/8″ x 4-1/4″). Center and mount the coordinating DSP to the Calypso Coral cardstock. Wrap a strip of the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon around the piece (refer to card photo – note: we’ll tie bow and add it after attaching the sentiment). Use a strong adhesive to add the layered piece to the card front.
On a 2-1/4″ square of Basic White cardstock, stamp the sentiment using Calypso Coral Classic Ink Pad. Note: I found it easiest to stamp the largest part of the sentiment first and then to add the “you’re as” smaller stamp sentiment last. After stamping, cut the label shape using the Tasteful Labels Dies (or your favorite die shape).
Stamp the small leaves using Pear Pizzazz on each side of the sentiment leaving room for adding the Loose Flower Flourishes embellishments. Add the embellishments using glue dots.
Add to the sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete the card by tying a bow using the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and attaching the bow using glue dots.
Look for a variety of other projects featuring this bundle!

In my last post, I shared with you “the must have stamp bundle”. As promised, in this post, I am sharing four cards using the Many Messages bundle. You’ll notice from the cards that one uses designer series paper that is no longer available. How many times have you started a card design only to set it aside to complete later? That’s the case with the card with the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper. But that’s what’s wonderful about the Many Messages bundle! You can design card fronts, set them aside and then add a sentiment from Many Messages at a later time. Actually, all of the cards that I’m sharing are designs that were prepared without a specific sentiment planned. I assembled the fronts, set aside the embellishment pieces and later completed the cards by selecting precut Many Messages sentiments. Remember, there are 17 different sentiments that you can use…I’m only showing four!
Great news! The Many Messages bundle is in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog so it’ll be around for awhile. Even better, there’s another stamp of sentiments that coordinates with the same die in the new catalog. Mark your calendar, ordering from the new catalog begins on May 4, 2021!
JUST A REMINDER…
The current catalog is retiring on May 3, 2021 (next week!) so that means the final days of the Last-Chance Products Sale is winding down. You’ll want to nab items that will retire before they are no longer available. Check out the Last-Chance Products Sale items here. Several bundles are retiring but will be available individually without the additional bundle savings in the catalog. To view a PDF list of the Last-Chance Product Sale items, you can download it here: Last-Chance Products 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.
