Circle Sayings Thank You Card

Today’s card has a “beachy vibe” using the Circle Sayings Bundle to create a thank you card.  The card is one that was featured in last month’s class featuring the Circle Sayings Bundle.  I had lots of fun creating different cards using the bundle but I think this card is one of my favorites.  It’s also a great card design to use for creating multiples.  Just stamp the design multiple times and color with the Stampin’ Blends.  I like to stamp multiple images to have ready for coloring when watching tv or when I have a few minutes to spare.  It helps avoid feeling rushed to finish a card.  By having components prepped, components can be pulled together for finishing the card at a later date.  Give my method a try!

Cut Dimensions:
  • Pebbled Path Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 11″, score/fold at 4-1/4″ for card base
  • 3″ x 3″ die cut Basic White Cardstock: (2) 4″ x 5-1/4″; 2-3-4″ x 2-3/4″
  • 2023-2025 In Color Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 2-1/2″

Petal Park Thank You Card

Today’s card is from the recent class featuring products from the Regency Park Suite Collection. The Petal Park Bundle is used to create the focal point on the front of the thank you card. In addition, the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder adds textural interest. Do you notice the card size? It’s not the typical 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ card. The card is the 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″size in the Memories & More Cards and Envelopes Packs. It’s a nice alternate size to use especially when creating specialty cards. You’ll find the card materials and an assembly video below.

Hand-Penned Petals Thanks

As promised, this week’s card is a new theme and features the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle.  The beauty of the stamp set is the Distinktive design which provides a dimensional effect.  Additionally, the stamps do not completely fill the line image stamp thus leaving unstamped background areas.  This provides additional dimension and interest to the images.  So if you’re stamping and think you’ve made a mistake, you haven’t.  The images are supposed to be “imperfect”. Today’s thanks card is featuring the Hand-Penned Petals large floral spray and the new In-Colors.  I love how the In-Colors coordinate together on projects.  Details for creating the card are below.

Hand-Penned Petals Thanks Card Details:
  • Create card base using Thick Basic White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score & fold at 4-1/4″).
  • Layer one is a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Polished Pink cardstock.
  • The next layer is a Fresh Freesia Gingham print from the Pansy Petal Designer Series Paper (5″ x 3-3/4″).
  • On Basic White cardstock, stamp the large floral spray from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set two (2) times using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
  • Use the following Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads to stamp the flowers and leaves: Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink (stamp off once before stamping pink flowers) and Soft Succulent.
  • Cut each of the floral sprays using the coordinating die from the Penned Flowers Dies.
  • Add the floral sprays to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Position so that the floral sprays slightly overlap to create one large floral spray.
  • For the sentiment, “thanks” is heat embossed using Versamark and White Embossing Powder.  After embossing and allowing to cool slightly, fussy cut around the word.  Attach to the lower corner of the card.
  • Complete card by embellishing with Genial Gems.

If you’re like me and a lover of floral stamps, you’ll want to add this set to your stamp collection.

Easy but Elegant!

If you have not had the opportunity to look closely through the Occasions Catalog, be sure to set aside enough time to check out each page.  You’ll find all sorts of hidden gems!  One is the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).  You can see snippets of the paper on pages 10-13 but you must really each of the pages to appreciate the beauty of the paper.  I love that there is silver foil one of the sides of each page which makes any project look elegant.  The Thank You card below highlights the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP and though simple, it is still elegant.

Petal Palette meets Brusho Crystal Color

As promised in my last post, I am sharing the card designed using the Brusho Crystal Color applied to the stamped image from the Petal Palette stamp set.  The color was applied using an aqua painter. Brilliant Red was used to color the flower and the leaves were first colored with Moss Green but I desired a brighter green color so mixed some of the Prussian Blue and Yellow Brusho to achieve a bluish green and applied it over the Moss Green layer.  Which leaf color do you prefer?
