Time for CASE the catalog with some Halloween fun projects.

We are casing from the Holiday Catalog.  It’s almost time for Halloween so fresh and exciting projects are coming your way.  These Halloween treat holders are cased from page 48 and 51 of the Holiday Catalog.  Details are listed below to re-create these treat holders.

TIme for the Halloween Fun Projects Recipe

The orange treat box was created using Takeout Box Thinlits and the Big Shot.  Also, images are from the Takeout Treats Stamp Set.  Cardstock choices are Whisper White & Grapefruit Grove, and the Country Lane Designer Series Paper.  Stamp images all around on the box in Calypso Coral so they give it character and the sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.  Add White Baker’s Twine also around the box and attach sentiment tag using SNAIL adhesive.

The second project uses the Cauldron Framelit Dies for the stars.  The Tiny Treat Boxes are on page 193 of the annual catalog.  Cauldron Bubble sentiment stamped in Pumpkin Pie on Whisper White cardstock.  While the circle below the sentiement was done using the 1 ½” Circle Punch and Toil & Trouble DSP, the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon is layered in between the two and wrapped around the box. Various adhesives were also used due to having different needs.  Stampin’ Dimensionals were also used to raise the sentiments off the box.  Finally, Liquid Glue was used for adhering the ribbon and small stars cut out from the Cauldron Framelits Dies in Crushed Curry cardstock.  Furthermore, the new Take Your Pick tool will probably make is much easier to pick up the stars.

Country Lane Suite – coming soon!

Some of you joined me for a Facebook Live presentation last week showcasing the Country Lane Suite that is in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  While ordering is not available until next week, I am posting the information on the card materials and the Mini Gable Treat Box showcased during the presentation.

Stampin' Up! Country Lane Suite

Project materials are as follows:

  1. Card base – Crushed Curry Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ to create a top fold card base
  2. Country Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP): 5-1/4″ x 4″
  3. Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: cut 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″
  4. Whisper White Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 4″ (for inside of card, trim after completing card front and stamping the image to ensure you are able to center the image in the oval);  3-1/4″ x 3/4″ for sentiment
  5. Country Home Stamp Set,
  6. Layering Ovals Framelits
  7. Classic Stampin’ Ink: Mint Macaron,  Blackberry Bliss
  8. Stampin’ Blends: Light Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze Light & Dark, Dark Daffodil Delight, Old Olive Light & Dark, Blackberry Bliss Light & Dark
  9. 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim
  10. Adhesives: Snail, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
  11. Tools:  Big Shot, Paper Snips
  12. Other:  Cotton Swabs

I am also sharing another method for cutting the ovals versus the method demonstrated via the Facebook Live presentation.  Both methods work equally well.

Embellished Mini Gable Box

A favorite project from the Facebook Live presentation is stamping an image from the Country Home Stamp set onto a Lustrous White Mini Gable Box (it’s also a funny portion of the presentation as I drew a blank on the name of the box!)  Yes, we must laugh at ourselves!  On to the project details, using Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad stamp the desired image onto the side of the box.  Next, sponge Balmy Blue Classic Ink around the floral bouquet image prior to coloring with a variety of Stampin’ Blends.  Stamp a tag with Blackberry Bliss and cut using the 1″ circle punch.   Use the 1-1/4″ circle punch to cut a scrap of Crumb Cake for the tag base.  Further embellish with a folded strip of 1/4″ Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon.

Animal Outing Kraft Pillow Box Treat Holder

Last week  I posted a teaser photo of a project being made for my recent Open House.  As promised, I am sharing the outcome of the stamping and cutting!  Being made were embellishments to attach to the new Kraft Pillow Boxes found in the recently released Stampin’ Up! catalog and I used one of my favorite new stamp sets, Animal Outing, to create the tag.  It was fun stamping and coloring the giraffe with the Stampin’ Blends.  In just thirty minutes, I had stamped and colored twenty-five tags.

Giraffe “Thank You Big Time” Kraft Pillow Box

The Kraft Pillow Boxes are the perfect size for holding a variety of treats.  I added an individual size package of nut mix to each so there’s plenty of room for treats.  I know you would like details on making tags for your Kraft Pillow Boxes so I’ve added a list of the project materials used and instructions below:

  1. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp the giraffe onto the Whisper White Cardstock and color using the Stampin’ Blends.  Cut using the 2 ½” circle punch.
  2. Cut the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock using the scalloped circle thinlit (the 2nd largest) and punch two sets of leaves from the Shaded Spruce Cardstock.
  3. Assemble the Kraft Pillow Box.
  4. Cut a 6” strip of Burlap Ribbon and using paper snips, cut between each of the strands approximately 2” on each end. Separate the strands.  Attach to top of box with adhesive.
  5. Using desired adhesive, attach leaves to the back of the stamped giraffe circle and layer onto the Lemon Lime Twist scalloped circle.
  6. Attach assembled tag to the pillow box overlapping the burlap strip.

You can find all the products to make the the treat holders by clicking on the Shop Now tab.

Thanks for stopping by  and have fun creating tags for your Kraft Pillow Boxes!

Petal Palette meets Mini Pizza Box

While attending OnStage, I participated in a swap so I opted to use the mini pizza box and embellish it to create a WOW 3-d project. One of my favorite stamps in the Occasions Catalog is the Petal Passion Suite and it has become one of my “go to” bundles so naturally I reached for it to use for creating a topper for the box.  Using a strip of the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper (1 3/4″ in width), a belly band was made to wrap around the mini-pizza box.  Then using the large circle framelit from the Stitched Shaped Framelits and Whisper White cardstock, a base to was cut to use for adhering a layer of leaves, a loop of mini sequin trim and the large floral spray from the Petal Palette stamp set, The leaves were cut from Tranquil Tide card stock using a leaf framelit from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits set.  The floral spray was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink then sponge daubers were used to apply Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide inks.  The sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set and was stamped onto a strip of Berry Burst cardstock using the tuxedo black ink and cut using the Petals and More Thinlits Dies, which were also used for cutting the stamped floral spray.  Dimensionals and glue dots were used to hold the layers in place. The finishing touch was to add a double looped bow using solid Whisper White Baker’s Twine and adding a few “dew drops” from the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes.  Recipients could easily slide the belly band from the mini pizza box to see what goodies were inside for them to enjoy!

With the release of the retiring list, I was relieved to see that the Petal Palette bundle will not be retiring…Hooray!!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Check back again and in the meantime, happy stamping!

Altered Mini Pizza Box

This project has been on my desk since before the holidays waiting for me to photograph and share with you.  I was asked to prepare samples using the “A Little Wild” bundle for the Luv 2 Stampin GA team meeting and decided to make alter a mini pizza box to create a gift box.  You’ll notice that the box is a Bath & Body Hand Sanitizer that seemed designed especially to coordinate with the “A Little Wild” stamp set!

A window was cut in the mini pizza box using the Layering Circle Framelits.  Additionally, the framelits were used to cut the rim framing the window from Sky Blue cardstock.  The box top was lightly sponged with Sky Blue ink.  The bees were randomly stamped on the box top and also along the sides of the box using Archival Basic Black.  The body of the bees was colored using a Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.  The bear was stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock and colored using an aqua marker with Soft Suede ink.  Note the shading on the bear.  The hive was stamped using Soft Suede onto a scrap of Crushed Curry cardstock.
I was happy that the mini pizza boxes made it on the Carryover List from the Holiday Catalog as they are the perfect size when presenting someone with “a little something”.  More ideas using the boxes will be shared in upcoming posts.

Last Minute Gift Wrap Idea

While wrapping the last of the Christmas gifts today, I had a couple small gifts needing packaging.  Off to my craft room to find something that would work…the Mini Pizza Boxes were perfect and by using a few other items in my craft room, the wrapping was done in record time.  Now all gifts are wrapped and stashed under the Christmas tree!

Quick Christmas Gift Packaging using Stampin’ Up! Mini Pizza Boxes
After assembling the pizza boxes and adding the gift, Stampin’ Up! Baker’s Twine was used to wrap around three of the boxes.  The center two boxes were wrapped multiple times with the Baker’s Twine, taped on the back and then the strands were separated on the front to appear like a tree.  Each was embellished with a tree topper!  The other was wrapped on all sides with the Baker’s Twine and then a Stitched Felt Embellishment was added.  On another of the boxes, two of the Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments were unwound and then rewrapped to create one larger wreath for adding to the Mini Pizza Box.  Baker’s Twine was used to mimic a hanger and a Season of Gifts Mini Gift Bow was added to add a bit of color to the wreath.  So if you have some last minute gifts needing special wrapping, be sure to look through your Stampin’ Up! supplies.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I’m expecting family to start arriving mid-day so my next posting is planned for later in the week.  In the meantime…
Thanks for stopping by and check back next week.
