Do you need to make a birthday card for a youngster? If so, the Bonanza Buddies Bundle is perfect for creating a fun, cheerful card. In addition to the bundle’s stamp set and coordinating dies, the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper features party animals and prints for celebrating. Even better, some of the images can be cut out using the Bonanza Dies. Note: the Birthday Bonanza Suite of products is retiring and only available through June 2 or while supplies last. I’ll be keeping this fun bundle and have ordered extra designer series paper to use on cards for youngsters in age and youngsters at heart!

This weekend we’re celebrating our granddaughter Brooklynn’s 3rd birthday. Of course, Brooklynn’s birthday card must be in her favorite color – purple. Therefore, I used several shades of purple on the card. The New Wonders Stamp Set is perfect creating a card for a 3 year old girl. She’s a fan of Frozen and though the girl in the stamp set isn’t Elsa or Anna, I don’t think Brooklynn will care. But, I know she will like the card!
Card Directions:
Create a card base using a 4-1/4″ x 11-1/2″ piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock. Score at 5-1/2″ and fold to use as a side opening card.
Add a layer of 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Highland Heather plaid designer series paper from the 6″ x 6″ Subtles Designer Series Paper package.
Refer to card photo for placement of stamping images and sentiment. Stamp the image from the New Wonders stamp set onto a 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock using Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad.
Use Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin’ Pad to stamp the sentiment on the card. The words Happy Birthday are from the Well Said Stamp Set and “3 rd” stamps are from the Make A Difference Stamp Set.
Use Stampin’ Blends in the following colors for the girl image: Ivory (face, hands and feet); Daffodil Delight Combo and Light Soft Suede (hair), Purple Posy Combo (for top) and Highland Heather Combo (for skirt), Light Seaside Spray (wings) and Smoky Slate Combo for the ink pen. When coloring, use the Color Lifter to help with shading. Light Real Red Stampin’ Blend colors the hearts. Add Clear Wink of Stella to the skirt for a touch of shimmer.
Cut the Whisper White with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Attach to the center of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete by tying a knotted bow using the Purple Tricolor Ribbon and adding to card front with a mini glue dot.
Oh, don’t forget to stamp the interior too…
I can’t wait to see Brooklynn’s face when she opens the card along with her gift. Purple is definitely the theme!
The New Wonders stamp set is available for order is you are host. Contact me for more details.

Today’s project is a feature card from this month’s class. It is a Tropical Birthday card featuring the Timeless Tropical Bundle and other elements from the Tropical Oasis Suite. Initially, this suite was not on the top of my purchase list but after seeing a few cards online, I made the purchase. WOW, am I glad that I did. The flowers in the stamp set are beautiful when stamped and colored. Of course, the coordinating dies eliminate the need to fussy cut. And, the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder adds wonderful texture to cardstock for layering. I have had lots of fun creating with this set so more tropical theme projects will be making an appearance.
Below are the Tropical Birthday Card Details:
Create a card base using Real Red cardstock. Cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″ and fold.
Add a layer of 5-1/4″ x 4″ Crumb Cake cardstock that has been texture embossed using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.
Using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp the hibiscus flower in the Timeless Tropical stamp set onto a 2-3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color the flower using the Light and Dark Petal Pink Blends. For additional color depth, use the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend. Use the Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend to color the flower’s stamen and then use Wink of Stella to highlight the stamen. Cut the flower using the coordinating die from the In The Tropics Dies.
Stamp 3 leaves using Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a scrap of Old Olive cardstock. Cut the leaves using the coordinating die.
Stamp the birthday sentiment and cut using the Timeless Label Punch.
Refer to card photo for placement of elements. Add leaves to back of the flower with mini glue dots. Before adding to the card, cut a 10″ piece of the Braided Burlap Trim. Separate and pull individual strings of the burlap. Attach loops of the burlap string to the card and with Stampin’ Dimensionals, add the hibiscus flower covering part of the loops.
With adhesive, attach the sentiment.
Complete by cutting approximately 1-inch of the Braided Burlap Trim, add a Tropical Oasis Trinket to the burlap trim and attach to the side of the sentiment.
Be sure to check out all of the products in the Tropical Oasis Suite. I have another completed project using additional elements from the Tropical Oasis Suite that I’ll be sharing next week.

Welcome to February! Today, the team is celebrating birthdays with a blog hop! In addition to the blog hop, the 3D Tutorial Bundle is available. We’re each sharing a project created using the same stamp set or bundle that has been used in our Tutorial Bundle Project. The theme for this month is celebrating birthdays.
The projects designed for the 3D tutorial bundle aren’t available elsewhere online. Therefore, you’ll receive EXCLUSIVE projects in the tutorial bundle. In addition, you’ll receive both Imperial and Metric project measurements.
Check out the amazing line up of project designers. Yes, they are pretty amazing and talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!
Now for a Sneak Peek of the projects…
Since we’re celebrating birthdays, a birthday card design to coordinate with my 3D project design is needed. The card uses the Peaceful Poppies Suite which includes the Painted Poppies Bundle and the Peaceful Moments Bundle. Also, featured is the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper. I choose to use a special fold by using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to create a closure flap.
Card Details:
Blackberry Bliss cardstock: card base 5-1/2″ x 7″ score at 4-1/4″; 5″ x 3″ for panel overlay; 2-1/4″ square for poppy
Whisper White cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″ for inside panel; 2-3/4″ x 4-1/2″ for panel overlay layer
Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper: 5-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ for front card panel; 5-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ for inside card panel; 2-1/4″ square for poppy
Attach Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to the card front and the card interior.
Stamp interior sentiment using Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Pad. Additionally, stamp a poppy with Blackberry Bliss and Memento Tuxedo Black ink to the interior panel.
With the 2nd largest Stitched Nested Labels Die, cut the Blackberry Bliss cardstock panel overlay. Score one side of the panel where the “flag” end starts. Adhere along the score line and fold flap to the interior Whisper White cardstock panel. (refer to photos below)
Using the 3rd largest Stitched Nested Labels Die, cut the Whisper White panel overlay layer. Cut and remove one “flag” end. Referring to the card photo for placement, stamp the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Pad. Attach to the Blackberry Bliss panel overlay. (refer to photos below)
Cut the poppy components from the Blackberry Bliss and the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper using the Peaceful Moments dies.
Cut two leaves from Old Olive cardstock and two leaves from Vellum cardstock using the Peaceful Moments Dies. Use a splatter stamp from the Painted Poppies Stamp set and Old Olive Stampin’ Pad to add dimension to the Old Olive leaves.
Layer leaves and Poppy on the Whisper White panel beside the sentiment.
Use Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend to color three Basic Rhinestone Jewels and a 6″ strip of Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. When dry, add rhinestones and a small bow to the card front.
