In today’s post, I am sharing a fun set of note cards highlighting the Dino Days Bundle. In addition, the Scalloped Note Cards are featured. Not only are the note cards lots of fun to create, they are fun and playful looking. The Dino Days Bundle includes the Dino Days Stamp Set and Dino Dies. The Dino Days Bundle is included in the Dinoroar Suite Bundle along with the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper, 3/8″ Denim Ribbon and Dinoroar Enamel Shapes. When starting to design the project, I first looked at the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper and used it as my color inspiration. It was then when I realized that the designer series paper would coordinate beautifully with the Scalloped Note Cards. If you’ve noticed in past posts, I am a huge fan of note cards. Now with the Scalloped Note Cards, I have more creation options.
Aren’t the dinosaurs cute? I’ll let you in on a secret! All of the dinosaurs used on the note cards were cut from the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. And no fussy cutting was required! The Dino Dies matches perfectly with dinosaur images on some of the designer series paper.
Here’s a tip for you when cutting the dinosaurs with spikes on their backs. There are two separate dies, one for the dinosaur body and one for the spikes. First cut the dinosaur body with the coordinating die. After cutting, you will notice that the spike will not have enough paper for you to attach it to the dinosaur. Therefore, adhere the spike to a scrap of whisper white cardstock and then cut it with the spike die. This will provide you with enough paper to attach to the dinosaur.

Today’s card features elements from the Follow Your Art Suite (page 53) in the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. It is a great suite featuring elements perfect for creating cards and projects to give to anyone that enjoys crafting. Card Details:
Layer the Coastal Cabana and the Follow Your Art designer series paper onto the card base. Place them askew as shown in the card photo.
Use the 2-1/2″ circle from the Layering Circles Dies to cut the 2-3/4″ piece of Coastal Cabana.
With Coastal Cabana ink pad, stamp the ink bottle from the It Starts with Art stamp set onto the square of Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment from the Crafting Forever stamp st using Basic Gray ink pad. Stamp it beside the ink bottle. Use the 2-1/4″ circle punch to cut after stamping and adhere to the Coastal Cabana circle.
Add the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with the following: a stitched felt arrow from the Follow Your Art Embellishment kit, a Whisper White Ribbon and several of the Adhesive Backed Sequins

As a youngster, I would never combine fussy patterns such as lace and polka dots, plaids and stripes, and so on. You know, it was “too busy!” Fast forward to today’s world and often it seems, the more patterns the better. Case in point, my two year old granddaughter stayed with us this weekend and one of her dresses had multiple patterns combined. I must admit it looked great. So for today’s card, I stepped outside the old way of thinking and combined lace and polka dots. The lace comes from the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards and Tin. So, be sure to check them out.
Confession time! For a couple of weeks, my craft table has held a laser-cut card with a cardstock lining while I was waiting for a design inspiration. I would pick it up, play with different elements but nothing seemed to wow me. It was during an online presentation this weekend by fellow demonstrator, Patty Bennett, that inspiration started. She presented a sample Bird Ballard Laser-cut card with a cardstock lining and discussed trying a patterned Designer Series Paper liner. But for her design, she thought a solid background was best. So, I started thinking…what if I use a small pattern as the panel behind the lace? So the answer became lace and polka dots. For my card, the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Card has a lining of the pink polka dot pattern from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Even better, the reverse side of the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper creates a beautiful interior panel on the card. To avoid too many patterns, the card front design remains very simple. Just a sentiment and a couple of elements fussy cut from the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper. More details follow below the card photo.
Materials:
Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin
Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP) – Pink Polka Dot Design (4-1/8″ x 5-1/2″)
Attach the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper panel to the lace panel card interior using small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. NOTE: Check that the reverse design is in the correct direction.
Select sentiment and use Stamparatus to stamp onto the piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. First, stamp the sentiment using Crumb Cake Stampin Pad. Do not remove stamp from Stamparatus but use the Simply Shammy to carefully wipe the ink from the stamp. Dust paper with the Embossing Buddy. Use Versamark to ink stamp and stamp the sentiment again. Carefully remove cardstock from the Stamparatus. Apply Clear Emboss Powder and set using the heat tool.
After the embossed sentiment is cool, cut using a Stitched Nested Labels Die.
With paper snips, fussy cut floral elements from the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper. To avoid too much visual overload, I opted to keep the same color tones as the polka dot designer series paper. Also, cut a bird from the paper. TIP: Select a partial bird from the edge of the DSP since you’ll be using just the bird’s head. Also, cut an extra set of leaves to tuck around bird’s head and flowers.
Position the bird head and flowers around the sentiment piece. Attach to the cardstock using snail and mini glue dots.
Cut 2 pieces of the Petal Pink Organdy Stripped Ribbon approximately 3 inches in length. Fold each in half and attach to the center of the laser cut panel at each side so that it will peek from behind the sentiment label.
Next, attach the sentiment label using Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the laser-cut card and over the ribbon.
Finish by adding small Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of the flowers.

With Snail Adhesive, add one stripe to the bottom interior edge of each of the Scalloped Note Cards.
Light Pink Note Card:
Stamp the sentiment from For the Love of Felt using Memento Black Ink Pad onto a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use Stitched Nested Label Die to cut the shape. Attach to the front center of the Scalloped Note Card with Snail Adhesive. Fussy cut a Magnolia Flower from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. Attach to the corner of the sentiment layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie a bow using Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon bow and use mini glue dot to add to the card.
Balmy Blue Note Card:
For added dimension, texture emboss the front of the note card with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. Use the 2-1/4″ punch to cut a circle of Mossy Meadow cardstock. With the 2″ circle punch, cut a circle from a small floral print in the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. Layer the floral print onto the Mossy Meadow cardstock circle. Then, attach to the front of the card using Snail adhesive. Stamp the sentiment from the A Little Lace stamp set onto a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White cardstock using Mossy Meadow Classic Ink Pad. With paper snips, cut a pennant tail on the right side of the strip. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach sentiment strip to the front of card. Finish by embellishing with a Mossy Meadow Linen Thread bow. TIP: tie a bow using two pieces of the string, creating a double thread bow.
Terracotta Tile Note Card:
Texture emboss the front of the note card using the Magnolia 3D embossing folder. Wrap a piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the card and tie into a bow. Stamp the sentiment, For You, from the Beautiful Bouquet Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Terracotta Tile. Cut tag using the die from the Bouquet Bunch Dies. Tie onto the polka dot bow using Whisper White Baker’s Twine. TIP: to hold tag in place, add a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of the tag.
Old Olive Note Card:
Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the sentiment onto a 4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Cut using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Attach to the front of the card with Snail adhesive. With the Magnolia Memories Dies, cut three of the coordinating magnolia blossoms from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. Add around the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie a bow using the Braided Linen Trim and with a mini-glue dot, add to the card. For an extra touch, brush Wink of Stella across the magnolia blossoms.
