It’s time to set sail! One of the samples displayed at the Open House features the Sailing Home bundle which includes the Sailing Home Stamp Set and matching Smooth Sailing Dies. In addition, the coordinating Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and Sail Away Trinkets complete the card. One of my favorite sayings in the stamp set is highlighted on the card sample. The sentiment is perfect for a recent graduate or for anyone starting an new adventure. The saying is a reminder that it is time to set sail and follow your dreams! Also,The Sailing Home Bundle is a perfect for creating masculine themed cards.

One of the stamp sets highlighted at the Open House was the Free As A Bird stamp set. If you’re a bird lover, this is the set for you. The sample showcasing the stamp set and the coordinating Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper is a make ‘n take from the April Stampin’ Up! OnStage event. As I enjoy bird watching and have bird pictures throughout my house, naturally I gravitated toward the Free As A Bird stamp set. It was the first set on my order. And of course, the beautiful Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper. The paper is gorgeous with it’s vibrant colors and helps to create a stunning card. So, today I’m sharing with you the sample that I made at the event. Also, below the photo is a short video that Stampin’ Up! prepared showing how to make the card.
Did you enjoy the video? Now, after seeing the card and how simple it is to make, don’t you just have to have the products?

Yes, in the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, we have cows! The Over the Moon stamp set will have you smiling. The set is so darn cute, you can’t help but be happy. I have had lots of fun using the set. For the open house, I made a couple of cards and a tag to attach to a mini-milk carton filled with milk duds.
Card #1 Details:
In addition to highlighting the Over the Moon stamp set on this first card, it also features the new In-Color Terracotta Tile. The card base is Terracotta Tile cardstock with a layer of Whisper White cardstock. The top layer is the coordinating gingham check from the 2019-2021 In-Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Pack. A strip of coordinating Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon tucked below the cow layer adds that “little extra something”. Stamp the cow onto Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. The colors on the cow’s spots below are Smoky Slate Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends with a touch of Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. To create the shadow effect, use the light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The Ivory Stampin’ Blend highlights the nostrils of the cow. Stamp the sentiment with the Terracotta Tile Classic Stampin’ Ink Pad. Lastly, cut the shape using the large circle Stitched Shapes Die. Doesn’t this cow make you smile?
Card #2 Details:
For the second card, one of the new Scalloped Note Cards creates the card base along with another of the Over the Moon stamps. The Scalloped Note Cards and coordinating envelopes help simplify card making. The set contains 5 each of four colors: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Light Pink and Terracotta Tile. To recreate the card below, stamp the cow onto Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Color using the cow spots using the Light and Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. Complete the coloring using Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends for the boots, Old Olive for the leaves and Daffodil Delight for the daisy center. Oh don’t forget, color the cow’s horns and nostrils using the Ivory Stampin’ Blends. Cut using the Layering Ovals Dies. Finish by stamping the sentiment onto a strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock and tying a bow with Whisper White Baker’s Twine.
Last but not least…
are the milk cartons with the cow tag. Talk about a fun project! Several of the items for this project are retired product but the cows just scream to be added to a milk carton! The milk cartons are cut using a retired Milk Carton die but you can find ready cut milk cartons available on Amazon. The clothes pins to hold the tag are also retired but the new Mini Library Clips would work wonderfully. Of course, I forgot to add them to my order! The Love What You Do stamp set has the perfect stamps to create the “cow spots” on the milk carton! The cow was colored as in card #2 and cut using the 2″ circle punch. The Starburst Punch creates the base of either Terracotta Tile or Pretty Peacock cardstock which showcases the cow. All attendees at the Open House were able to take a milk carton home with them.
I hope these cows make you smile too! Be sure to order the Over the Moon stamp set and have fun creating a variety of projects. Contact me (CreativestampingwithMargaret@gmail.com) if you need assistance placing your order.
