This month, I am the guest stamper for the Luv 2 Stampin GA team. So, I’ve been having fun with the Field Journal Stamp Set. As a guest stamper, we select a stamp set and present a project each week to showcase ideas for using the set. This is a great way to expand creativity. I had so much fun using the duck stamp from Field Journal, that I created not one, but two different cards!
Card Tips:
- For the card on the left, stamp the duck onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using Stazon Jet Black ink. Color using watercolor pencils. Note, the watercolor pencils are used dry with no water. After stamping and coloring the image, cut using the large circle Stitched Shapes Dies. The card base uses Early Espresso. A Crumb Cake cardstock layer is topped with a layer of Garden Green Designer Series Paper from the 6″x6″ Regals Designer Series Paper Assortment. Before attaching the layers to the card base, wrap a piece of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim around the card and tie into a knot. Then, add to the card base using Stampin’ Seal+. Adhere the stamped duck to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped using Early Espresso Classic Ink and cut with paper snips.
- The card on the right is a fun fold card featuring the Corner Fold. I followed directions and dimensions from a post by Cindee Wilkinson at Just Sponge It. For the card base, use Pretty Peacock cardstock and layer with Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. In addition, use a coordinating square of the paper below the duck layer. For the duck on this card, stamp the image onto Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set.

Looking for a fun, whimsical bundle?! Look no more – the Snailed It Suite provides lots of playful, whimsical fun. Today’s Happy Mail card uses the Snailed It Bundle. The bundle includes the Snailed It Stamp Set and coordinating Snail Dies. And using with the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper makes it easy to create a bright, cheerful card. Best of all, the Snail Dies coordinate with some of the images in the designer series paper. See the snail on the Happy Mail card? It’s cut from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper with a coordinating die. Easy -peasy! Stamp the envelope with Happy Mail enclosed and the card is set to mail. This card definitely is #simple stamping!
Details:
Create the card base using Daffodil Delight cardstock (8-1/2″ x 11″, score and fold at 4-1/4″). Attach a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of the Bermuda Bay designer series paper from the Snail Mail DSP pack onto the card base. Cut a 1″ x 4″ strip of the mini hearts designer series paper and attach to the card – referring to photo for placement. Using the Snail Dies, cut the following: a large snail from the designer series paper; one large and two small mushrooms from a scrap of Real Red cardstock, the inside note from a scrap of Basic White cardstock and the envelope from a 3″ x 3″ square of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
Stamp “hello” onto the Basic White note using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink Pad and embellish with the Resin Hearts. Fold the envelope flaps leaving the top flap open. Glue Dots hold the flaps closed. Slide the note into the envelope, attach with glue dots to secure and use Stampin’ Seal+ to add to the card front. Finish the card by adding mushrooms to the card front and layering the large snail using Stampin’ Dimensionals. And don’t forget – stamp Happy Mail enclosed onto the envelope using Real Red Classic Ink Pad.
Youngsters and young at heart will enjoy receiving Happy Mail!

Where did the time go? Wednesday sped by and I’m late on my weekly Wednesday post! Hey, better late than never. No worries though, today I am sharing not one but three cards showcasing Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. So, it’s worth the wait (LOL).
The paper is gorgeous and provides a beautiful background for cards. With it’s beauty, you can make gorgeous cards easily. Since I am in need of Thank You cards, I am using the same sentiment from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set on all three of the cards. For all the cards, the same basic cardstock colors are used. But on two of the cards, I have “stepped up” the designs using the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate on one and Gilded Leafing Embellishment on another.
Details:
- The sentiment for all 3 of the cards is stamped onto Basic White cardstock and cut using a die from the Hippo & Friends Dies. Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots are added for extra embellishment.
- The base for card one is So Saffron cardstock with a layer of Terracotta Tile cardstock. For cards two and three, Terracotta Tile cardstock creates the base and a second layer of So Saffron cardstock is added.
- Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) creates the top layer on each card.
- For card one, the designer series paper is adhered to the Terracotta Tile cardstock layer before the cardstock layer is added to the card base. Wrap a piece of Terracotta Tile Ribbon (from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack) around the layer then adhere to the card base.
- On card two, the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate is layered atop the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. Since the specialty acetate matches the designer series paper, it adds beautiful gold outlining to the print.
- And lastly, to step up card three, the coordinating Art Gallery Stamp Set is used to stamp 3 small flowers and Gilded Leaf Embellishment highlights the center of each. Two of the flowers are stamped using Terracotta Tile (stamp off onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto Basic White piece) and one flower stamped using So Saffron. After stamping the main piece with the inks, the inner piece is stamped with Versamark, Heat & Stick Powder is applied then activated with the Heat Tool. Once activated, the Gilded Leaf Embellishment is added and rubbed on each flower. Easy-peasy!
