Did you notice the festive photography of the All is Bright DSP? The vibrancy and detail are almost so life like, you just want to touch it. The Christmas balls are so elegant and detailed. Similarly with the Santa’s Workshop DSP. I just love those little people. It’s almost like you have to smile and sing when you are crafting.

The holiday madness begins with the release of the Holiday catalog today. Yes, today is the day it goes live. I know you are as excited as I am and can’t wait to create your wishlist. It’s probably my second favorite time of year. While there is nothing wrong with another day to celebrate, I really enjoy the brisk weather and beautiful colors the Fall has to offer. First of all, there are so many new stamp sets, papers, accessories and embellishments to check out, it may take you a while to absorb it all and appreciate everything that is in this catalog. Yes, it is time for that crazy time of year. No, not back to school shopping but another obession in the form of my to do list of holiday events. It’s not just about presents and days off. For me it’s also about cards and projects and decorating. Everything also has a deadline and it’s almost easy to fall behind if you don’t plan ahead and early. As a result, you certainly won’t get it all done without a plan. It’s a good thing kids go back to school, we need that time to prepare for the weeks and months ahead. I think I’m planning even more projects than I did last year. It’s easy with a catalog like this one because there are more suites and kits that all coordinate together. I love almost all the new products.

I am also sharing another method for cutting the ovals versus the method demonstrated via the Facebook Live presentation. Both methods work equally well.
Embellished Mini Gable Box
A favorite project from the Facebook Live presentation is stamping an image from the Country Home Stamp set onto a Lustrous White Mini Gable Box (it’s also a funny portion of the presentation as I drew a blank on the name of the box!) Yes, we must laugh at ourselves! On to the project details, using Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad stamp the desired image onto the side of the box. Next, sponge Balmy Blue Classic Ink around the floral bouquet image prior to coloring with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. Stamp a tag with Blackberry Bliss and cut using the 1″ circle punch. Use the 1-1/4″ circle punch to cut a scrap of Crumb Cake for the tag base. Further embellish with a folded strip of 1/4″ Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon.
