Sep 5, 2018 | 2018 Holiday Catalog, Cards, Christmas, Designer Series Paper |
The holiday madness begins with the release of the Holiday catalog today. Yes, today is the day it goes live. I know you are as excited as I am and can’t wait to create your wishlist. It’s probably my second favorite time of year. While there is nothing wrong with another day to celebrate, I really enjoy the brisk weather and beautiful colors the Fall has to offer. First of all, there are so many new stamp sets, papers, accessories and embellishments to check out, it may take you a while to absorb it all and appreciate everything that is in this catalog. Due to the volume of products, it may take you a little longer than you think.

Holiday Madness Begins Today
Yes, it is time for that crazy time of year. No, not back to school shopping but another obession in the form of my to do list of holiday events. It’s not just about presents and days off. For me it’s also about cards and projects and decorating. Everything also has a deadline and it’s almost easy to fall behind if you don’t plan ahead and early. As a result, you certainly won’t get it all done without a plan. It’s a good thing kids go back to school, we need that time to prepare for the weeks and months ahead. I think I’m planning even more projects than I did last year. It’s easy with a catalog like this one because there are more suites and kits that all coordinate together. I love almost all the new products.
Furthermore, if you did not receive a catalog in the mail and would like one, please contact me to arrange getting a catalog sent to you. You can also visit my online store to see all the new products.

Sep 3, 2018 | CASE The Catalog, Stampin' Blends, Uncategorized, Watercolor Pencils |
Happy Labor Day! It’s time again for CASE the Catalog Monday.
This week two unused stamp sets on my craft room shelf were used to recreate the card on page 31 in the Annual Catalog. The card features Bella & Friends and the Pretty Kitty stamp sets on page 30. These two stamp sets contain some great sentiments and have perfect images to create cards for all ages – especially for animal lovers too! Check out the details below on how to recreate this card.

Talk about loads of fun…first stamp images with StazOn ink onto Whisper White cardstock (4 -1/4″ x 3″). To color the images, use watercolor pencils and blender pens. The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock and a top piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP Collection (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″). Highlight the stamped and colored image layer by adding a layer of Coastal Cabana cardstock (4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″) . After stamping the sentiment, embellish with a heart from the Frame Elements and a bow of White Baker’s Twine.
Since it was such enjoyment coloring the card, I decided to use another of the images from the Pretty Kitten stamp set. The following card is ready to send to a friend.

First stamp the “peeking in” image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. Colors are Granny Apple Green, Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie. Basic Black cardstock creates the card base and the Share What You Love DSP layer pulls the card together. Using Layering Circles Thinlits, cut the image piece and the layering Basic Black cardstock pieces. Finally, attach to upper portion of card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie 1/2″ Black Satin Ribbon around card at seam of DSP to complete the card.
My Challenge to You:
Pull out an unused stamp set and recreate the item that first inspired you to make purchase the set!

In a time crunch and need to make a card quickly? This quick and easy card featuring In Color Call Me Clover will solve your dilemma! The simplicity of the image from the Accented Blooms stamp set will help create a stunning card. Stay with one color scheme, in this case, Call Me Clover green. Using the cardstock, the coordinating Designer Series Paper from the In Color 6″ x 6″ paper package and the Call Me Clover Classic Stampin’ Pad, you can create a beautiful card in just a few minutes. I love the brightness of this new in color green offered by Stampin’ Up! and will be using it in many more projects.

A tutorial for recreating this card can be found under the Tutorial tab. A list of project materials is with the tutorial. Have fun making this card using all of the 2018-2020 In Colors! And remember this is a quick and easy card to create!
