Sep 24, 2018 | 2018 Holiday Catalog, Cards, CASE The Catalog, Christmas, Memories and More |
This week’s CASE the Catalog features the Signs of Santa stamp set and the Santa’s Signpost Framelits Dies. The card is on page 18 in the Holiday Catalog. Though we are still having summer temperatures here in Georgia and the calendar says it’s Fall, I am busy prepping for the upcoming holidays including Christmas. Yes, I know it’s not even Halloween yet but I promise additional Halloween projects will be posted soon. Now on to today’s feature card…the base uses the 4″ x 6″ large note card from the Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Cards & Envelopes as shown on page 21 in the Holiday Catalog. Not only is it nice to have a large card but the cut and scored cards are a great time saver. Check out Santa – he’s cut from the Santa’s Workshop Designer Series Paper (DSP) using the coordinating Santa’s Signpost framelit. Card making just got easier!

Materials:
- Signs of Santa stamp set and Santa’s Signpost Framelits
- Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Cards & Envelopes
- Santa’s Workshop Designer Series Paper (red dotted DSP 4-3/4″ x 3″, green & white DSP 3″ x 1-1/2″)
- Whisper White Card Stock (2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″)
- Garden Green Classic Stampin’ Pad and Poppy Parade Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Stitched Shape Dies
- Poppy Parade Textured Ribbon (approx. 8″)
- Snail Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals
CASE the Catalog Steps:
- Use the Santa die from Santa’s Signpost Framelits to cut Santa from the Santa’s Workshop DSP. (or on Shimmery White CS stamp Santa with black Stazon Ink and use Aqua painter to color Santa using Real Red, Balmy Blue and Mango Melody inks.)
- Use the large square Stitched Shape Die to cut the Whisper White CS. Stamp the sentiment in the upper right corner using Garden Green ink and attach Santa using Stampin’ dimensionals.
- To cut the tail in the red polka dot DSP, on the reverse side of the paper use a pencil to lightly draw a line 3/4″ long at the center of the 3″ side. Use scissors to cut from each edge to the center point. This will create a perfect inverted “v” tail. Attach to the card front using snail adhesive.
- Use snail adhesive to add the green DSP layer.
- Fold the Poppy Parade Texture Ribbon keeping the bottom portion approximately 1″ longer than the top. Adhere in the center of the green DSP layer.
- Use dimensionals to attach the Whisper White layer over the layers to complete the card front.
- To finish card interior, use Garden Green ink and the “and more!” stamp to complete the phrase.
- The envelope flap was stamped using Poppy Parade ink to stamp the North Pole seal.
Happy Stamping!

Sep 21, 2018 | 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, Cards |
In this month’s class, the Painted Harvest and Buffalo Check stamps combine to create the cheerful card shown below. The classic “go together colors of yellow (So Saffron) and blue (Night of Navy) unite to create a beautiful color palette.

Stamp the So Saffron card base with the splotch stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set using the matching ink. It creates an interesting background texture for the Night of Navy Buffalo Check. Use Daffodil Classic Ink Pad to stamp the largest layer twice – re-ink and rotate the stamp each time. Ink the smaller sunflower stamp with Soft Saffron Classic Ink Pad to add color depth to the flower image. Stamp off the Night of Navy center before stamping the inside of the flower. Stamp and punch three sets of leaves from Pear Pizzazz. For additional interest, use the Sprig Punch (offered in the Holiday Catalog) to cut the vellum paper background pieces. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. Finish the creation with a Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon bow.
TIP: The Buffalo Check stamp set is a large background stamp so I recommend using the Stamparatus when stamping to ensure even coverage of ink.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back on Monday for the weekly CASE the Catalog project!

First of all, this card I am sharing with you today is a beautiful frosted shimmer. The shimmer does not show through pictures. It features the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is part of the Frosted Floral Suite in the Holiday Catalog. The card is also one of the samples that attendees made at this month’s card class. Furthermore, the paper is “Shimmery” and while you really cannot appreciate it in the photograph, it’s amazing. Seriously, the photos really do not do it justice and all of the paper in the package is simply gorgeous.

So do you see the frosted shimmer? Because of the glare, It may be a bit difficult to see. Create the card using The First Frost Stamp set and Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. Both are offered in the First Frost Bundle while saving you 10%. Do you notice the Soft Suede frame is askew? Frame is cut using the Frosted Bouquet dies and attached to sentiment layer using dots of multipurpose liquid glue. It also adds an unexpected dimension to the card. Remember, all project materials can be found under Project Materials at the end of the post.
Also, you will have the opportunity to see so many more samples like this in my 12 Weeks of Christmas holiday promotion.
