Happy New Year! Hope that you enjoyed the holidays and that 2018 is off to a good start. We had a wonderful holiday with both sons and their families arriving on Christmas Eve for the night. It was lots of fun watching Alex, who is 8, teach Brooklynn (9 months) the tricks to unwrapping gifts. Naturally, she was more interested in pulling the wrapping paper out of the trash bag! Oh, what fun!
The world celebrates the New Year and Stampin’ Up! kicks off Sale-A-Bration starting tomorrow so I decided to share a mini-treat bag that can be used for all sorts of celebrations. The Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (DSP) was used for constructing the bag. The Birthday Friends Framelits Dies made decorating the bag quick and easy using the DSP! The “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment is from the Birthday Delivery Stamp Set and a mask was used when stamping to block the “your day!” on the stamp. The Birthday Delivery Bundle includes all of these items offering a 10% savings. I finished off the bag by scattering a few rhinestones on the bag.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back this week for Sale-a-bration details. The new Occasions catalog also goes “live” tomorrow, January 3!
While wrapping the last of the Christmas gifts today, I had a couple small gifts needing packaging. Off to my craft room to find something that would work…the Mini Pizza Boxes were perfect and by using a few other items in my craft room, the wrapping was done in record time. Now all gifts are wrapped and stashed under the Christmas tree!
Quick Christmas Gift Packaging using Stampin’ Up! Mini Pizza Boxes
After assembling the pizza boxes and adding the gift, Stampin’ Up! Baker’s Twine was used to wrap around three of the boxes. The center two boxes were wrapped multiple times with the Baker’s Twine, taped on the back and then the strands were separated on the front to appear like a tree. Each was embellished with a tree topper! The other was wrapped on all sides with the Baker’s Twine and then a Stitched Felt Embellishment was added. On another of the boxes, two of the Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments were unwound and then rewrapped to create one larger wreath for adding to the Mini Pizza Box. Baker’s Twine was used to mimic a hanger and a Season of Gifts Mini Gift Bow was added to add a bit of color to the wreath. So if you have some last minute gifts needing special wrapping, be sure to look through your Stampin’ Up! supplies.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I’m expecting family to start arriving mid-day so my next posting is planned for later in the week. In the meantime…
Hi all…this final week before Christmas and it’s time to get those last minute cards prepared. I hope I’m not the only one rushing to finish cards! This is one that you’ll be able to make quickly and mail or add to a package.
Season’s Greetings using Stampin’ Up! Merry Music Designer Series Paper and Cheers to the Year Stamp Set
The Merry Music Designer Series Paper (DSP) was cut at 3 3/4″” x 5″ and then on the 5″ side, cut at 1 3/4″. Since the paper is double sided, you can flip to use the alternate design or use a piece from another coordinating design in the paper package. The DSP was layered onto Real Red Cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″. Real Red Ribbon was wrapped across the “seam” where the two pieces of DSP meet and then attached to the card base of Thick Whisper White cardstock. The greeting from the Cheers to the Year Stamp Set was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Real Red ink and cut using the Stitched Shaped Framelits and layered onto a piece of Real Red cardstock cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. Several of the black rhinestones were added to finish the card. NOTE: The majority of Holiday Products used are being retired so check out the Year-End Sale (Shop Now) and order them before they are no longer available (before January 3, 2018 or while supplies last).
Just a reminder – Check out the Clearance Rack! Stampin’ Up! has added new products and some of the favorites are selling quickly!
Thanks for stopping by and check back later this week for one final post before Christmas!
This will be the final post of the week containing projects from the recent Holiday Bazaar – acetate treat boxes and rosette ornaments from the Be Merry Project Kit. The acetate treat boxes being shared are another design courtesy of Connie Stewart on her blog. Not only are the treat boxes simple to make, they are super cute! I’m loving the acetate boxes offered by Stampin’ Up! as they are very versatile and make great packing for more than cards. For this project, just cut a box in half and used designer series paper (DSP) to create a closure for the box. The 3″ x 4 1/2″ box size is perfect to holding fun size candy bars but can also accommodate non-candy items.
Stampin’ Up! Acetate Treat Boxes embellished with Seasonal Chums Stamp Set Bundle and Rosette Ornaments from the Be Merry Project Kit
The Be Merry Project Kit requires no stamping and comes together quickly. To speed production for the Holiday Bazaar, I separated the kit and set up an assembly line. Using a hot glue gun, I was able to complete two kits (24 rosette ornaments) in less than an hour. Many of the ornaments sold and the remaining ones are being used on some of my holiday packages as gift tags.
Be sure to check out the retiring list to order some of your seasonal favorites before January 2nd.
Thanks for stopping by and check back on Monday for a new project idea!
