As mentioned in earlier posts, the Stampin’ Up! Convention is this month so I’m in the midst of completing cards to use in various organized swaps. One is a “Thank You” card swap and below is a card made using the reverse masking technique.

Supplies Used:
Daffodil Delight Card Stock
Very Vanilla Card Stock
Mixed Bunch Stamp Set
Flower Shop Stamp Set
Sassy Salutations Stamp Set
Everythink Eleanor Stamp Set
Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin’ Pad
Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad
Pear Piazzazz Classic Stampin’ Pad
Blossom Punch
Pansy Punch
In my last blog post, a Get Well card was shared. Using the same materials, I prepared cards for a “WOW” swap that requires using a new stamp set from the 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! catalog. As you’ll notice in the card below, I have added “WOW” to the card by heat embossing the center flower and adding embellishments (flower center using the Simply Pressed Clay Molds and of course, rhinestones!) What do you think?

A final card for sharing this week is not a swap but just my “10 minute” challenge! Deciding the color scheme actually took longer than preparing the card. The result – a cheerful card that was “quick and simple” to make.

Whew, I can’t believe that two weeks have passed since my last post. In addition to crafting cards and other creations to swap at the upcoming Stampin’ Up! convention, summer activities have kept me busy. The convention is just three short weeks away and the closer it gets, the more the excitement builds! It’s sure to be lots of fun as Stampin’ Up! celebrates their 25th Anniversary.
The card highlighted below was prepared for a friend but it’s similar to a card that I’ve prepared to swap at the convention. A photo of the swap will be shared in the next blog post. The new 2013-2015 In Colors were used. I just love the look of the Crisp Canteloupe against the Baked Brown Sugar. Hope this card helps to cheer up my friend!

As promised in my last post, I will be providing you with a “peek” of cards prepared to swap at convention. The first share is of card candy that were made for my sister to use in a Card Candy Swap. You may ask, why show her card candy…well, since I registered her for the swap and forgot to tell her, I thought I’d be a nice sister and relieve her the added stress! Therefore, I prepared the swaps and mailed them to her so she could add a few flourishes of her own. A total of six were made so look for more photos in an upcoming blog post. The theme of the Candy Card that I selected for Sharon was “Papillon Potpourri” 🙂 The great thing about card candy is the ability to use leftover scraps of card stock and designer series paper. The embellishment on the layered butterfly is a Candy Dot introduced in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog.

Hi all! Hope you’re having a good week. It’s been a busy week for me. The monthly card class was held on Monday and other commitments have kept me on the go. Last night and this morning, I was finally able to spend time crafting cards and card candy that I’ll use for convention swaps. Next week, I will share a “peek” at some of the swaps.
The card class was themed “All Occasion Cards” and participants were able to make a variety of cards to suit different occasions. One of the cards demonstrated and made was a “triple layer card” as shown below.
