All About Birthdays – Series 1

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since my last post!  Hope your holidays were wonderful and that the new year is off to a good start.  Our holiday was wonderful.  My “battery” is recharged and though I took a break from my blog, I have prepared some great projects that I will be sharing with you so get ready to have some fun!
The first classes of the year were “All About Birthdays” enabling attendees to have cards available when it’s time to celebrate family and friends’ special days.  The first series of cards were easy to make and we even added “a slice of cake” to go with our cards!

Just a friendly reminder… Stampin’ Up! is holding the best promotion of the year: Sale-A-Bration. It’s a great opportunity to earn free products.  You don’t want to miss out, the promotion ends March 31. It’s also the best time of year to join Stampin’ Up!  For $99 you can choose $155 worth of products plus the kit ships for free!  What I like best (and you will too!) are the ongoing discounts on personal purchases, it is a great savings.  If you have questions and would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact me (margkni@gmail.com).  I would love to have you join my team!

Thanks for stopping by and don’t hesitate to contact me with your questions.

Holiday Gift Tags

It’s been an extremely busy month so I’ve not been able to share projects and now the Christmas countdown has started!  I’m finally taking a few moments to share a project from last month.  I had the opportunity to teach a “Holiday Bags & Tags” class at our local arts center and these tags were popular with attendees. The Whisper White card stock tags, cut using the Scallop Tag Topper punch, were quick to assemble.  Designer Series Paper was attached and the tags were further embellished using the Peaceful Pines stamp set and a variety of sentiments.  It was fun working with the group and sharing project ideas. Based upon feedback, next year I’ll host a “gift tags only” class!

This will be my last post for 2015 as I celebrate the holidays with my family but
be sure to check back the first week of January as I will resume adding new projects!
Have a Merry Christmas!
see you in the New Year…

Quick & Easy Christmas Stocking Stuffer!

Before the throes of Thanksgiving preparations begin, I wanted to share a quick and easy “stocking stuffer” – pencil tubes.  I made these for the recent craft sale and made extras to put into my grandson’s Christmas stocking.  Seasonal pencils were put into 1″ x 8″ cellophane bags and embellished with a tag.  The pencils have snowflakes which coordinate perfectly with the Flurry of Wishes stamp set.  The Snow Flurry punch was used to cut the stamped snowflakes and the 1 3/4″ circle punch was used for the background base.  Even better, the color of the pencils coordinated perfectly with Pacific Point card stock and ink.  What can be easier than to stamp, punch and quickly assemble!  A final touch was the addition of the Iced Rhinestone Embellishment and the “Let It Snow” banner.  Note: the banner sentiment used is from a discontinued stamp set…but not a problem, there are numerous stamps from the Holiday Catalog with sentiments that would work wonderfully.  P.S. check your discount stores for pencils, Dollar Tree has a great selection of themed pencils!
