Hope you’re having a great week! As mentioned in my last post, the upcoming class at the local arts center is going to use “A Nice Cuppa” stamp set with the matching Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies. Below is another sample card for the class:

The card is even more stunning than in the photo! The flowers were stamped and punched using the Petite Petals stamp set with the matching punch. The leaves were cut using the Botanical Builders Framelits Dies. The sentiment is from the Circle of Spring stamp set but can be tailored with any sentiment (or leave teacup blank). Quick reminder: look through your inventory of supplies and mix/match dies, stamps and punches.
P.S. Note to my mom – this is not the card you’ll be receiving but it will be just as stunning!
Another reminder: be sure to check out the
Retiring List from Stampin’ Up! to get your favorites before they’re gone! psst – the “A Nice Cuppa” and “Cups & Kettles Framelits Dies” are on the list.

Today’s card is a sample prepared for an upcoming class at the local arts center. The class focus is using the “A Nice Cuppa” stamp and the Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies. The framelits set is great! Not only does it contain dies to cut matching stamps but there are extra dies to cut additional cup styles, a tea kettle, spoon, knife and fork. So many possibilities!!! This card is one of the simpler designs for the class. A card base in Basic Gray card stock is layered with a Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper from the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack and the mug was cut from Bermuda Bay card stock. The sentiment used comes from the Balloon Celebration photopolymer stamp set. Since a coffee mug was used, the invite to have coffee and eat cake seemed perfect. I’m having a lot of fun using this set and more samples will be shared in the coming weeks.

Recently a friend had surgery and I decided to use the Botanical Gardens Bundle to create a card sending her thoughts as she recovered. One of my favorite color combinations is Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride so I decided to use the two colors to create a floral bouquet on the card. The touch of black and the rhinestone centers for the stamens provided an extra “pop”. The leaves were cut and stamped using Old Olive card stock and ink. To create definition, the the flowers cut edges were sponged with the matching ink color of the flower. The sentiment is found in the hostess set, “Best Thoughts” and was perfect for the card.
