Jar of Love Floral Bouquet

Have you ever gone on vacation and returned to find it hard to get back on track?   Currently, that’s what I’m trying to do!  My husband and I went on one of our bucket list trips, a Baltic Cruise, so I’m a bit behind but the trip was so worth putting things aside for a few weeks.  Another great thing – the day I returned home, my Stampin’ Up!  Holiday Catalog preorder arrived and I am planning projects to share with you soon.
The project today utilizes the Jar of Love Stamp Set and the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits Dies.  I’m loving this set!  This set offers lot of versatility and just a note – the Holiday Catalog has several stamp sets that also coordinate with the Everyday Jars Framelits so you’ll want to add them to your “must have” list.  Remember that if you purchase the bundle, you’ll save 10%.

The card base is Sweet Sugar Plum cardstock topped with a layer of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  The larger flowers were stamped with the coordinating stamping ink pads…the Sweet Sugarplum was stamped off first onto a scrap of paper to produce a lighter color intensity.  The smaller flowers were stamped using Daffodil Delight as the base and Crushed Curry for the second stamped layer.  A strip of Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper (DSP) was added to help balance the look.  Soft Suede was used to stamp the jar and sentiment on the tag.

Project Materials:

Bright & Cheery!

In a recent class, the Fruit Stand Suite was used to create a variety of cards.  One of the cards uses the floral paper included in the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It includes several of the new 2016-2017 colors enabling one to create a “bright and cheery” card. Note the use of the new ruched ribbon on the card – the ruched ribbon has become a favorite of mine!

More…New Catalog Open House

Last month’s New Catalog Open House was a lot of fun and as noted in my last post, attendees had much to do and see.  I wanted to share a few more photos of the event that was enjoyed that afternoon…

Lastly but most importantly thank you to Andrea (“Andy”) for taking photos of the event.  I neglected to get a photo of her when she was working on her make & takes…shame on me!
