Hi all! It’s that time of year that is busy for many of us, and I don’t know about your calendar, but mine is full. Of course, I love every minute of it!!!
Yesterday was a much needed rainy day in Georgia. It was the perfect day to put on holiday music, get cookies baking and work on gift tags. If you follow me on Instagram, you got a peek of the gift tags. The tags are simple and come together quickly.

For the 3″ x 3″ gift tag, the moose stamped image required “fussy cutting” which took a little extra time but the remainder of the tag was very easy. The Candy Cane Lane washi tape was stacked on the front of the card and the “Merry Christmas” sentiment is from the Star of Light photopolymer stamp set. Note: When adding the washi tape to the card, I use the Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper to ensure that the tape is straight. Position your card so that it’s straight, select the washi tape you wish to start with and add it across the card front using the grid lines to ensure it is straight. I overlap the card with the washi tape and after all layers of washi tape are added, remove from grid paper and trim washi tape along sides of card. It couldn’t be easier!
The reindeer gift tag was very quick…just a little stamping, punching and layering. Of course, I committed the cardinal sin and didn’t check my fingers after stamping and messed up three of the tags with inky fingers which required a redo. Lesson learned!
Note – many of the stamps and materials used for these tags are part of the current Year-End Closeout sale. You’ll find a majority of the items discounted so head over to my store and order so you don’t miss out.
Be sure to check back later this week for another project…

Last month’s card class focused on preparing Christmas cards. One of the cards made used the Pretty Pines Thinlits in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. The catalog is full of bundles to prepare holiday cards and I have had a difficult time deciding on which is my favorite, but I can say that Christmas Pines Bundle with the Pretty Pines Thinlits is competing for the top spot!

| “Merry Christmas” using Pretty Pines Thinlits & Pine Bought TIEF from Stampin’ Up! |
Base: Cherry Cobbler cardstock 5 1/2″ X 11″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold to form card base
Embossed Layer: Whisper White 5″ x 3 3/4″
Scraps of Old Olive cardstock, Garden Green Cardstock, Early Espresso Cardstock, Soft Suede cardstock
Use the Pine Bough Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) to emboss the Whisper White cardstock. Highlight the embossed areas using Clear Wink of Stella. Using the Pretty Pines Thinlits, cut a solid pine cone from a scrap piece of Early Espresso cardstock and an open pine cone from the Soft Suede cardstock. With the Early Espresso ink sponge the edges of the open cut pine cone and layer onto the solid pine cone using glue dots to adhere at the top of the pine cone. Cut 1 large and 2 small pine needles from the scraps of green cardstock using the thinlits. Assemble as shown in photo of finished card. Stamp sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink (note: sentiment is from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set) and top with bow made using Cherry Cobbler Thick Baker’s Twine.

It’s been a busy few weeks and during that time, I attended a birthday celebration for a friend’s mother. Birthdays are wonderful to celebrate and this was special as Ms. Lorraine celebrated her 97th birthday. To commemorate, I made a special card using the Number of Years stamp set bundle with touches of embellishment from the Jar of Love stamp set. The color scheme uses Watermelon Wonder.

You would never know that Ms. Lorraine is 97 years old and I am sure that I’ll be changing the number for several years ahead!
