Jack-o-Lantern Spinner Card

In the last card class, I decided to introduce the technique of making a spinner card and the Seasonal Chums Bundle made the process easy.  Since Halloween is approaching, the jack-o-lantern from the set was selected for the card design. Stampin’ Write Markers were used to color the leaves and jack-o-lantern features but the Watercolor Pencils would work too.  Notice that the inside of the card is backed with a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Spooky Night DSP package and a small strip of Very Vanilla is stamped with the Happy Halloween greeting from the Spooky Cat stamp set is peeking through the opening.

While it may seem intimidating the spinner card is not extremely difficult so be sure to give the technique a try!

Honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month

For the card class this past Monday, I thought it appropriate to include a Pink Ribbon card using the Ribbon of Courage stamp set bundle in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Powder Pink cardstock and ink, as well as, the same color in the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack were used for creating the card.  The sentiment was stamped in Smoky Slate on the Whisper White cardstock oval.  It is a simple card to make but conveys a wonderful message.

Halloween Treat Bag

I must admit that I am not a cat person but when I saw the cat punch in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog, I knew it had to go onto my must have list.  Since several friends have cats, the punch will get lots of use.  What is great is that the punch coordinates not only with the Spooky Cat stamp set but also the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (DSP).  For the treat bag below, I used the cat punch to cut the black cat from the DSP. The witches hat was fussy cut for the DSP also.  The cutting instructions for the treat bag are from Angie Juda.
