It’s time for CASE the Catalog!! As you may remember, last week I announced my new weekly segment. This week I have a few different cards from the Notes of Kindness card kit. I hope you enjoy them all.
The cards below are various cards from the Notes of Kindness card kit. It’s a wonderful kit and I have a picture of the contents below. Remember, our kits come with refills as well. The coordinating colors are Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Soft Sea Foam.
Notes of Kindness Catalog Casing
The first card samples have two different sentiments. Both are large and to the point. I love the flowers. In each case, the flower is the focal point but the sentiments also make the cards.
So these next cards are a little more different. One has a large sentiment in the center which is the card from the kit. The second card has the larger image and the sentiment smaller with less focus. A great alternate.
Additionally, I wanted to give you two samples with the same image and sentiment but the placing is a bit different. One card is landscape oriented while the other is portrait. Same images, style and sentiment with just a turn of the cardstock.
Finally, I have two cards with the same style. The difference is in the actual sentiment rather than the style. There was also the addition of Twine on one card and Pearls on the other.
As a result, CASE the catalog is also becoming my favorite segment each week. I greatly enjoy bringing you new ideas and inspiration. Additionally, once the Holiday catalog is released, I will CASE from that catalog as well. Therefore, you have so much to look forward to over the next several week. Enjoy!
I love to share cards with you created using new stamp sets. The Lilypad Lake stamp set is a new favorite. The images make it so easy to create cards with a beautiful backdrop. I have a card below and even added the lily pad to the envelope to help for effect. Your friends and family will love what you do with this stamp set any time of year. It has some beautiful sentiments as well to go with it.
Here is my Beautiful Backdrop Card
The card is easy to put together. I used the Lilypad Lake stamp set. In addition to the Whisper White Thick card stock, I used the new Balmy Blue card stock. Additionally, you need the Tuxedo Black memento ink for stamping the images. Also, the Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Stampin blends for coloring lily pads on the card and the envelope front.
Here is a tip: Insert a scrap of paper inside of the envelope when coloring with Stampin’ Blends. This will help to prevent ink from bleeding through to back of the envelope because the Stampin’ Blends are so vibrant.
If you are lucky to have a friend that means the world to you, then you will definitely enjoy this card. While it was created using the “Share What You Love” Designer Series Paper, I also used the Layered Leaves Texture Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) and Petal Pink card stock. Changing up the TIEF is always an option.
We’re All Lucky to Have a Friend
It’s such a great card that is quick & easy, hence, you can create a number of them to have on hand for friends and family for when the situation presents itself. There are a number of other colors you could use for the card stock on the top of the card. That is just one way you can change up the card. Other sentiments would probably work as well too. Another great idea is to keep the template or parts of the card cut in different colors. Therefore, just grab and go when you are in need of a card with any of the sentiments you pre-designed. You’ll find instructions for this card in the Tutorial page.
Friend Like You Card
The paper is one of my favorites with it’s soft colors. Remember, while this is a beautiful choice, there are also even more designs to choose from in the Designer Series Paper pack. Not all of the choices in the pack are floral so it gives you some other color options. Seems like everyone should be lucky to have a friend in their life and so it should be celebrated. Above all, cherish the ones we love. It fills me with joy to create cards for my friends and family to spread joy with what I love to do. You can pick up the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper from my online store.
It seems like creating fun treats for kids is not only fun but so rewarding. Seeing the little smile on the face of a child can almost melt your heart and probably make your day. Just remember that if you have children or grandchildren still in school, they will always have a reason to bring in treats maybe three times a year. I have probably done dozens over the years because I love hand made gifts. Therefore, it’s certainly nice to have a plan so you are ready.
Everyone Can Help When Creating Fun Treats
Above all, get the kids involved rather than doing it for them. That’s when using fun products is certainly essential. Get them excited about what you are making because when they help, the pride they have is even more rewarding. For that reason alone, the Animal Outing stamp set is the perfect stamp set for such an event. So, I have a special project to share with you using this stamp set. What do you think of the adorable giraffe below? The treat box is perfect to give to a teacher, counselor or adult figure. Another great idea is a party favor due to the amount of parties you could potentially be involved in each year when you have children. It honestly seems like there are even more animal themed parties popping up now more than ever.
Fill with fun treats for the kids
Rather than just post the picture, I also have the ingredients and directions to create the treat box so you can see the steps.
Supplies:
Stamps: • Animal Outing Stamp Set Cardstock: • Lemon Lime Twist • Whisper White • Shaded Spruce Inks: • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink • Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends • Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Punches & Dies: • 2 ½” Circle Punch • Leaf Punch • Layering Circles Framelits (use the 2nd largest Scalloped Circle) Other: • 5/8” Burlap Ribbon • Kraft Pillow Boxes
Directions for Project
1. Due to the coloring involved use Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp giraffe onto Whisper White Cardstock and color using the Stampin’ Blends. Also, cut using the 2 ½” circle punch. 2. Cut the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock using the scalloped circle thinlit and punch leaves from Shaded Spruce Cardstock. 3. Assemble the Kraft Pillow Box. 4. Cut a 6” strip of Burlap Ribbon and cut between each of the strands approximately 2” on each end. Separate strands. Attach to top of box with adhesive. 5. Using desired adhesive, attach leaves to back of stamped giraffe circle and layer onto the Lemon Lime Twist scalloped circle. 6. Finally, attach assembled tag to pillow box overlapping the burlap strip. Enjoy creating fun treats of your own!
Have you seen the Bouquet Blooms Bundle? I usually take advantage of the bundles for the 10% Off as well as the ease of coordination. I also enjoy using the Big Shot, which is one of my favorite tools. Mostly because it can do so much. Whenever there are Big Shot accessories involved, I’m all in.
The video below showcases one of our new bundles and a pretty cute idea for a card. Take a look at the Bouquet Blooms bundle and all that you can do with these products. You can bet I will be using that flower die to add flowers to many of my projects.
Can you just think of so many people to create these little note cards for? The bundle makes it so easy to coordinate your projects. There are a variety of bundle options in my online store.
Let me know if you have any questions about our bundles or how to use them.
