A Variety of Coloring Tools

Stampin’ Up! offers an array of coloring tools designed to help color all your paper crafting projects.  I thought I would take a minute and outline some of the different options and how they work.  I know you may think coloring is coloring, but that’s simply not the case.  It really does make a difference because color technique can change the look of a project. Take a look below at some of Stampin’ Up!’s coloring options and the specific purposes they have.

Coloring Tools Make a Difference

First up are the Aqua Painters.  They are a watercoloring tool that allows you to use water without dipping.  The Aqua Painter is designed to hold liquid in the tube base to make watercoloring easy.  Give it a squeeze and the water is released.  Add color with our Watercolor Pencils or any Stampin’ Up! Classic pads.  Touch the brush to the ink and then transfer the ink to your image on the paper. It’s advised to use watercolor paper for your project.

Watercolor Pencils are high-quality, smooth color pencils. Perfect for watercoloring. You can use these alone, with our Blender Pens or the Aqua Painter.  All you have to do is color your image and then bring in the Aqua Painter or Blender Pen if you are going for a watercolor look.  There are 13 pencils in various Stampin’ Up! colors

Blender Pens combine the flexibility of watercolors with the convenience of markers. Also, they are dual-tipped pens filled with specialized solution to blend ink easily. It is recommended to use Watercolor Paper.  Remember to clean off the tip after each use.  Finish using the color and simply stroke the tip on scrap paper to remove color and move on to the next color without worry.  They give a different look to the finished product than Aqua Painters.

Our Stampin’ Write Markers allow you to expand your ink selection.  These artist-quality markers come in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors to take the guesswork out of product coordination. Flexible brush tip and fine tip in one marker. Color on paper, or color directly on a stamp for a multicolor effect.   They are fast drying, dye-based ink and coordinate with Stampin’ Up! cardstock, ink and embellishments. Coloring is smooth and bold with these markers.

Lastly, we have our Stampin’ Blends.  Our newest to the coloring tools, the Stampin’ Blends are high-quality, alcohol-based, dual-tip markers.  Each color comes in one dark and one light sets to give you the best blending experience.  Controlling the color is easy when using either the brush tip or the fine-point.   Purchase by individual colors or combo packs.  The Blends are not refillable, however, you can purchase the individual color when you need to replace them in your collection.

Variety of Embellishments

In addition, you can combine any of the above tools with a number of our embellishments.  As a result, you can have Glitter, Embossing Powder, Wink of Stella, Embossing Paste, Sponge Daubers and even Brayer to help you further enhance your projects.  Furthermore, once you add color to any of those options, the possibilities are endless.  Hence, I encourage you to give some of them a try and see what you can create.   While I know it’s a lot to absorb, I hope you have learned a little more about some of our coloring options.  Most of all, you get to see what benefits each tool has.  Please contact me with any questions on these or any of our Stampin’ Up! products.
