Last week, I attended the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Live (i.e. convention) in Salt Lake City. It is a wonderful event and an opportunity to not only see new products, learn new techniques but also spend time with other demonstrators from across North America. Another highlight was the unveiling of the new catalog to be released on June 1. You’re going to love this new catalog…can’t show you what’s inside but here’s a peek at the cover! (notice the flags on the right side, they aren’t included but are marking the items to put on my wish list!)
Stampin’ Up! 2016-2017 Catalog Cover |
As in past years when attending the convention, it’s been fun to swap cards with other demonstrators to get ideas for different designs, color combinations and techniques. This year, instead of registering for a particular swap, two designs were created for random swapping. The Timeless Textures stamp set was used for both and the one shared below was a quick and easy card to make yet it has a touch of elegance.
A Happy Hello using Stampin’ Up! Timeless Texture and Tin of Cards Stamp Sets |
Several of the Timeless Textures stamps were used to create the background by random stamping on the page using Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron ink. To create a softer look, images were “stamped off” onto a scrap page before stamping onto the card layer.
Another reminder: be sure to check out the Retiring List from Stampin’ Up! to get your favorites before they’re gone! Also, the 2014-2016 In-Colors are retiring so you’ll want to stock up on your favorites (Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, and Tangelo Twist). Sure going to miss those colors!
