Two friends are celebrating birthdays this week so cards were prepared for each of them. The first card that I’m sharing is a “flip card” which was made using the new Circle Card Thinlits Die. With the new die, it made preparing a flip card very easy. Taking photos of the card was not as easy! I apologize for the photo but I did not check it’s quality before presenting the card. However, you can still see how the cut circle “flips” when opened. The flip side of the birthday cake circle is also decorated.

The other birthday card prepared this week uses one of my favorite
flower stamps from the Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set (#130324 w, #130327
c). The flower was stamped with VersaMark ink pad (#102283) and heat
embossed using Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109133). The petals were
colored using Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker (from the Regals
Stampin’ Write Markers Collection #131262) and a blender pen
(#102845). Using my paper snips, I “fussy” cut the dahlia and used a
Stampin’ Dimensional to add a bit of pop to the card. Other materials used
includes the following: Coastal Cabana card stock (#131297), Crushed
Curry card stock (#131199), Whisper White card stock (#100730), Eastern
Elegance Designer Series Paper (#130131), Artisan Label punch #130920),
Petite Pairs stamp set (#128706 w, #122497 c), Crushed Curry Classic
Stampin’ Pad (#131173), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) and Whisper
White 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (#109070). Since the friend receiving this
card enjoys gardening, I thought this card would be appropriate and I
think she’ll enjoy it.
