Today’s card has a “beachy vibe” using the Circle Sayings Bundle to create a thank you card. The card is one that was featured in last month’s class featuring the Circle Sayings Bundle. I had lots of fun creating different cards using the bundle but I think this card is one of my favorites. It’s also a great card design to use for creating multiples. Just stamp the design multiple times and color with the Stampin’ Blends. I like to stamp multiple images to have ready for coloring when watching tv or when I have a few minutes to spare. It helps avoid feeling rushed to finish a card. By having components prepped, components can be pulled together for finishing the card at a later date. Give my method a try!

Hi everyone! I’m back after taking off the month of August. It was a busy month with other obligations plus some travel so posting to my blog was pushed to the bottom of the to-do list. I bet you all can relate to having lots to do with not enough time (LOL)! The good news is I have lots of projects completed and will be sharing a new project each week (maybe even two!). So be sure to subscribe to receive notifications of my postings. Now on to our project featuring the Apple Harvest Stamp Set.
Today’s project focuses on the branch of apples stamp from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set. This card is one that I made for a swap at the recent Stampin’ Up! And great news – for the month of September, the Perfect Partners Promotion includes the Apple Harvest Bundle with the coordinating Apple Blossoms Dies. Or you can purchase the dies separately if you already own the stamp set. Important to note, the Apple Blossom Dies are only available during the month of September or while supplies last so place your order today. Today’s product features Happy Easter Gift Tags that came about by sorting through products on the shelves in my stamp room. Have you ever wanted to make a project only to realize you did not have a stamp set with the sentiment or images for the theme? That’s exactly what happened to me when deciding to create an Easter project – no bunnies, no chicks, no Happy Easter sentiment stamps. So, it was time to get inventive and creative with products that I had available! After some searching, I was able to create a sentiment using word dies and found stamp sets that could fit the theme. Plus, scraps of cardstock were used for most of the project which is always a win-win. What do you think of the “outside the box” ideas for Easter themed gift tags?
Using the largest of the Tailor Made Tags Dies, cut the tag base from Basic White Cardstock.
Die cut the words, Happy & Easter (using the Word Wishes Dies), from Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Optional: prior to cutting the cardstock, add a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the cardstock. This makes it easy to attach to the tag.
Next, stamp one hen and two chick images onto scraps of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.
Color the hen using the following Stampin’ Blends: body – Daffodil Delight Light & Dark, beak – Pumpkin Pie Dark, Comb & Wattle – Poppy Parade Light.
Color the chick using the following Stampin’ Blends: Body – Daffodil Delight Light, beak & legs/feet – Pumpkin Pie Light, hat – Bermuda Bay Light
Using the nest stamp from the Birds & Branches Stamp Set, stamp the nest onto a scrap of Granny Apple Green cardstock using Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad – stamp off once before stamping onto the cardstock.
Use coordinating dies from the Birthday Chick Dies to die cut the stamped hen/chick images and the fence from a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock.
With the Birds & More Dies, cut the stamped birds nest and and 3 eggs from a scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Use a sponge dauber to lightly apply Sahara Sand to the edges of each of the die cut eggs.
OPTIONAL: using Blending Brushes, color a sky using Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad and color grass using Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad.
Assembly of tags:
For the Hen/Chick tag: Add the Happy Easter to the top section of the tag leaving room for the hen. Next, attach the fence to the lower portion of the tag. Finish by adding the Hen and Chick with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the Chick/eggs in nest tag: Add the Happy Easter to the top section of the tag. Adhere the nest to the bottom of the tag leaving a gap at the top to insert the eggs. Then, trim the overhanging section of the nest so that sides and bottom are even with the tag. Insert the eggs into the next using Mini Glue Dots to hold in place. Complete by adding the chick with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Note: many of the products for these tags are on the recently released Last Chance Products list (i.e. retiring products). Be sure to check out the list and order the items while they’re still available. Plus, many of the dies are on SALE!!! Products are only available while quantities last or until May 2, 2022.
And if an item is no longer available – get creative and see what you can use as a substitute!

This weekend we’re celebrating our granddaughter Brooklynn’s 3rd birthday. Of course, Brooklynn’s birthday card must be in her favorite color – purple. Therefore, I used several shades of purple on the card. The New Wonders Stamp Set is perfect creating a card for a 3 year old girl. She’s a fan of Frozen and though the girl in the stamp set isn’t Elsa or Anna, I don’t think Brooklynn will care. But, I know she will like the card!
Card Directions:
Create a card base using a 4-1/4″ x 11-1/2″ piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock. Score at 5-1/2″ and fold to use as a side opening card.
Add a layer of 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Highland Heather plaid designer series paper from the 6″ x 6″ Subtles Designer Series Paper package.
Refer to card photo for placement of stamping images and sentiment. Stamp the image from the New Wonders stamp set onto a 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock using Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad.
Use Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin’ Pad to stamp the sentiment on the card. The words Happy Birthday are from the Well Said Stamp Set and “3 rd” stamps are from the Make A Difference Stamp Set.
Use Stampin’ Blends in the following colors for the girl image: Ivory (face, hands and feet); Daffodil Delight Combo and Light Soft Suede (hair), Purple Posy Combo (for top) and Highland Heather Combo (for skirt), Light Seaside Spray (wings) and Smoky Slate Combo for the ink pen. When coloring, use the Color Lifter to help with shading. Light Real Red Stampin’ Blend colors the hearts. Add Clear Wink of Stella to the skirt for a touch of shimmer.
Cut the Whisper White with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Attach to the center of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Complete by tying a knotted bow using the Purple Tricolor Ribbon and adding to card front with a mini glue dot.
Oh, don’t forget to stamp the interior too…
I can’t wait to see Brooklynn’s face when she opens the card along with her gift. Purple is definitely the theme!
The New Wonders stamp set is available for order is you are host. Contact me for more details.

Each month the top sales performers in the Playtime with Paper group receive a small gift for their accomplishment. Naturally, the gift must include a card or tag. Using the Over the Moon Cling Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog, I was able to make an “Udderly Fantastic” note card . As you can tell from the “udderly fantastic”, there must be a cow somewhere on the card! If you noticed from my past posts, I enjoy using the note cards. The note cards are perfect to have on hand when you want to prepare a quick card. Best of all, twenty note cards come in a set, are reasonably priced and envelopes are included.
Here are the steps for creating the card:
The stamp for creating the cow spots background comes from the Love What You Do Stamp Set. Randomly stamp spots onto the Whisper White Note Card using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Stamp the sentiment and the cow onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Cut using the large circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
Color the cow using the following Stampin’ Blends: Light Black for the spots, hoof, and tail; Light Smoky Slate for the tail, hair tuft and shading shadows; Light Petal Pink for the face, udder and inside ears and Light Mossy Meadow for the grass.
Use the large scallop from the Layering Circles die to cut a layering piece from Basic Black cardstock. Attach the cow piece to the scallop using adhesive.
Tie a piece of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the card.
Complete the card by adding the cow tag to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Order the Over the Moon Stamp Set along with some note cards and have an udderly fun time creating a variety of cards!
