Country Bouquet Floral Heart Card

Today I am featuring another card using products from the Country Floral Lane Product Suite.  This product suite is one of my favorites in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. The Country Floral Bouquet Stamp Set is perfect to use for a variety of occasions.  The large heart in the set uses the two-step stamping technique making it easy to stamp and create the Country Bouquet floral heart card.  After stamping the floral heart, the Layering Circles Dies were used to create the focal point.   The Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper was used as the background layer and provides the inspiration for the color scheme.

“Cute Halloween” Hand Lotion Package

Halloween will be here in a few days so I’m sharing a quick gift idea – a “Cute Halloween” Hand Lotion Package.  It uses the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper from the Stampin’ Up! July-Dec Mini Catalog.  This is one of my favorite “go-to” packages for small hand lotions (approx. 1 ounce size).  The packages are very easy and quick to assemble using designer series paper.   Carrying through with the Halloween theme, I’m using the coordinating Cutest Halloween Bundle and the Tailored Tags Dies to create simple tags.  Friends and family members will enjoy these “non-caloric” Halloween treats!!!

Hand Lotion Package

Below is the project information for the “Cute Halloween” Hand Lotion Package and a video on how to score, cut and assemble the hand lotion package.

Cute Halloween Hand Lotion Package Cutting, Scoring & Assembling:
  • Cute Halloween 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper: cut 4-1/2″ x 6″
    • on the 4-1/2″ side, score at 2″ and 4″
    • rotate 90 and score on one 6″ side at 1″ (NOTE: if paper has a vertical design, be sure to score so that pattern will be running vertical and score line is at bottom of the paper.)
    • turn paper again and with the horizontal 1″ score line at the top of the score board and the 1/2″ vertical score line to the right – score at 1″ and 3″ just up to the 1″ horizontal score line (this is demonstrated in the video below)  Alternate Size:  if your hand lotion tube is slightly longer, instead of scoring horizontally at 1″, score at 3/4″ – all other measurements remain the same.
    • Fold & burnish on all score lines.
    • With paper snips, cut along all of the vertical score lines up to the 1″ horizontal score line.  Cut and remove the 1/2″ panel piece below the 1″ horizontal score line. (This will form the bottom of the package.)
    • Fold along the long vertical score lines and insert the top into the Delightful Tag Topper Punch and punch to create top of the box.
    • With a strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape, Seal+ or Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, create a “tube” by sealing the side of the package. Place the adhesive on the 1/2″ side flap and fold other side to meet – press firmly to seal.
    • Next, form bottom by folding the flaps and sealing with strong adhesive.

Matchbook Style Treat Holder

Today’s project is a quick and easy Matchbook Style Treat Holder.  The treat holders were “a little something” in the June To-Go Class packages.  The new 2020-2022 In Color cardstock provides the coordinating base for the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.  I just love that the Flowers with Every Season Designer Series Paper coordinates with all of the new In Colors! The small packages of m&m candies fit perfectly inside the Matchbook Style Treat Holder but it’s easy to place other treats inside of a small cellophane bag to insert into the treat holder.

How To Create the Matchbook Style Treat Holder:

For the matchbook body: Cut a piece of cardstock 2-3/4″ x 8-1/2″.  Score at 3-1/2″, 4″ and 7-3/4″; burnish the score lines with a bone folder.  Then, fold along the 7-3/4″ score line and staple to create a tab to hold the top closed. (remember, we’re making a matchbook)

Next, cut the following:

  • coordinating cardstock – one piece at 2-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ and another piece at 2-1/2″ x 5/8″
  • Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper: one piece 2-1/2″ x 3″ & one piece 2-1/4″ x 1/2″

After cutting, add the designer series paper to the cardstock pieces using Stampin’ Seal.  Attach the layered panels to the front of the matchbook.

Stamp the “A Little Something” from the Parcels and Petal Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  After stamping, use the 1-1/2″ circle punch to cut (position so that the sentiment is toward the bottom of the circle leaving room for the ribbon).

Finish by tying a small bow using the 2020-2022 In Colors 1/4″ ribbon.  Add to the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.

Don’t you love how simple it is to make these treat holders? One piece of 8-1/2 x 11″ cardstock will make four treat holders so you can create lots of treat holders quickly!

Personal note: I did a video showing how to make these treat holders and was all set to add it but alas, it’s sideways!  After several hours of trying to edit and correct, I gave up – the technology gremlins won!!!

NEW 3D Tutorial Bundle and Blog Hop

Welcome to 2020! It’s January, a New Year, and to celebrate we have a fantastic New offer for you!  It’s the launch of our 3D Tutorial Bundle!  Today, we’re celebrating with a blog hop!  In addition to the 3D Tutorial Bundle, we’re each sharing a second project created using the same stamp set or bundle that has been used in our Tutorial Bundle Project.  The theme for this month is Valentine’s Day.

The projects designed for the 3D tutorial bundle aren’t available elsewhere online.  Therefore, you’ll receive EXCLUSIVE projects in the tutorial bundle.  In addition, you’ll receive both Imperial and Metric project measurements.

By the way, have you checked out the amazing line up of designers for this round?  Yes, they are pretty amazing and talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!

Time for a Sneak Peek of the projects created for the month of January:

If you want to see the full projects and receive the tutorials for each, you will need to get the 3D Tutorial Bundle.

It was so much fun creating with the Honey Bee Bundle that I decided to create a quick and easy note card to use for Valentine’s Day.  I am in love with the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper!  It is a Sale-a-bration FREE item so you can get it with an order of $50 or more (before taxes & shipping).  Check out the card photo below. How cute is the Designer Series Paper?!

Cover the front of a note card with the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper. Then stamp sentiment using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Wiggle Worm Stamp Set in the Annual Catalog.  Cut the sentiment using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  A piece of Gold Foil Sheet is also cut using the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Attach the Gold Foil stitched rectangle to the card front and layer the sentiment atop the gold foil using Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Stamp Happy Valentine’s Day from the Meant to Be Stamp Set to the card interior with the Real Red ink.

To complete the card, add Real Red Basic Rhinestones to each side of the sentiment.  With the honey bee from the Honey Bee Stamp set, stamp two bees onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink.   Cut the honey bees using the coordinating Honey Bee Dies. Attach one of the honey bees to the card front (refer to photo for placement) and one to the card interior.  Tie a knotted bow using a piece of the 3/8″ Real Red Ribbon and attach to sentiment layer using mini glue dots.  Also, don’t forget the envelope!

Last Minute Gift Tags

Are you looking for some quick to make gift tags?  I have you covered with these last minute gift tags.  I don’t know about you but it seems that at Christmas, I am rushing to finish wrapping presents.  Since a gift needs a tag, it needs to be quick to make.  The three gift tags that I’m sharing today are quick and easy making them perfect to create last minute.  For the three tags, I decided to use different themes for each – a snowman, a pine tree and a penguin.

  • Penguin Gift Tag:
    • Create a tag base by cutting a piece of Whisper White cardstock 2″ x 4-1/2″ and punch one end using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  If desired, round the corners on the opposite end of the tag using the Detailed Trio Punch.  Stamp the penguin from the Playful Penguin stamp set onto the tag using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the scarf using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad.  Fussy cut the scarf and add to the stamped penguin using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next, stamp Merriest Wishes on the front and To/From on the back of the tag using the Real Red ink.   If desired, complete by adding a ribbon or twine to the tag.
  • Pine Tree Gift Tag:
    • Use the Pine Tree Punch to cut a tree from the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper.  With the 2″ circle punch, cut two pieces of Whisper White cardstock (one for the front of the tag and one for the back).  Use a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies to cut a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock.  Add the Whisper White circles to scalloped circle using Snail Adhesive.   One one side, attach the Pine Tree to the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals and on the reverse stamp To/From.    Stamp the “No Peeking Til Christmas” from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  Then, fussy cut around the sentiment and attach to the Pine Tree.  Tie a small ribbon to add to the top of the tree.  With a handheld punch, punch a small hole into the top of the tag.  Thread a thin ribbon or Baker’s Twine through the hole and tie.  NOTE:  the gold twine on my sample is a discontinued product but you can color Whisper White Baker’s Twine with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend to use in place of the gold twine.

  • Snowman Gift Tag:
    • Create the tag base by using the Delightful Tag Topper on one end of a 2″ x 4-1/4″ strip of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut a 1-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ background piece from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Attach to the Whisper White tag base.  Using the Layering Ovals Dies, cut a snowman from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Attach to the background layer using Snail adhesive.  Stamp sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad.  Cut using the Classic Label Punch.  NOTE: the sentiment is from the Most Wonderful Product Medley.  Or, select your favorite holiday sentiment to use.

Though I have chosen to use three different designs, you may decide to create one style to use on your gift packages.  Whichever you prefer, the gift tags will be quick and easy to create last minute!

Time is running out for Holiday shipping so place your orders soon.  Note – many of the products used will not be available after January 2, 2020.  Therefore, be sure to order your favorites so you’ll have them for future use.
